1923 Ford Model TT Six Post Huckster. This rare, original bodied Model TT truck was just removed from an estate where it had been carefully preserved for the last sixty years. When we purchased this truck, we rebuilt the carburetor, installed a new gas line, cleaned the gas tank, installed new spark plugs and wires, and the engine started right up for the first time in many decades. Although we have not driven the truck, the engine sounds great with no unusual noises or smoke.The chassis is complete and intact with solid original wood wheels which have new Coker tires and tubes on the rear and good, usable tires ont the front. The chassis components such as the steering, suspension, etc show typical signs of wear and it appears that this truck was well cared for making it a survivor in good original unrestored condition. The original wood body is complete with all of its proper hardware and, shows the expected signs of wear and aging, although is generally solid. Included in the sale is a copy of the 1949 title in previous owners name. This rare truck can be mechanically serviced and used as-is or would be a great display item. Model T trucks with their original wood bodies are extremely scarce and are highly sought after by vintage Ford and vintage truck collectors. Payment due five days after close of auction. Volvo to shake off Ford ties with new platforms, engines

It would seem Volvo is finally getting around to throwing all of Ford's things out of the apartment. Automotive News reports the Swedish automaker is preparing to unleash a range of new engines as well as a fresh platform designed entirely in house. The powerplants include an all-new four-cylinder engine set to bow before the end of this year before arriving in the US by 2014. Shortly thereafter, the world should get its first glimpse at the next-generation XC60, which will the company's first model to make use of the Volvo scalable platform architecture (SPA). US buyers can expect to see that machine on their roads by early 2015.
The next V70 and S80 will also use the SPA, though those models will carry V90 and S90 designations when they hit dealer floors. But that doesn't mean Volvo has completely weened itself off of Ford technology. The V40 will continue to ride on Ford bones until the model's next chassis can be co-developed between Volvo and Geely.
