Up for auction is my 27 Ford Tall T Coupe. Car was built in 2000 by a member of MSRA in Minnesota and I bought from 2nd owner in July 2008. The car has a custom built rectangular steel tube frame, original Henry steel body, glass fenders, Mercruiser (Chevy II) 4 cyl 181ci with 153ci head with mild cam, Rochester 2GC carb, TH350 trans, 64 Jag rear end, 4 wheel disc brakes, GM tilt wheel, vintage Tru Spoke wheels, full guages (amp/oil/temp/fuel/speedo) walker radiator, and am/fm cassett stereo. All lights,guages, turn signals, horn work as they should and are accurate. Still had tilt out windshield. The down side is no heat or a/c. The paint is exellent with a brilliant shine and a few minor paint chips from driving, Interior nice except carpet is showing age. Don't be fooled by the 4 cyl as it boast approximately 160hp and does great in town and on the highway. This car is a blast to drive, super dependable, and always draws lots of attention. Only reason for selling is looking to move to a hi boy coupe. There is no warrantee expressed or implied. Ford sells 7-millionth Explorer in America
Mon, 17 Nov 2014Say what you will about the evolution of the Ford Explorer, from roofed Ranger to body-on-frame sport utility vehicle to unibody crossover - the bottom line is that it's been a tremendously successful model for Ford. In fact, the Blue Oval automaker has sold seven million Explorer models in the United States alone.
The milestone, marked nearly a quarter-century after the introduction of the original in 1990, comes on the eve of the introduction of a new Explorer at the Los Angeles Auto Show this week. We don't yet know how the new Explorer will shape up, but we're mere days away from finding out.
Now heading into its sixth generation, the Explorer has formed the basis of Ford's utility lineup for over two decades. The Explorer landed on the market right around the time that the Bronco was trailing off, predating the company's expansion into larger SUVs like the Expedition and Excursion and crossovers like the Escape, Edge and Flex.

TX officer allegedly lets 140-mph street racer go with a warning [w/poll]
Tue, 26 Aug 2014Being pulled over by the police is one of the most nerve-racking situations that a driver can go through, and it's even worse when you know that the officer has you dead to rights for speeding well over the posted limit. In this video, the driver of a heavily modified Ford Mustang with a claimed 966 horsepower at the rear wheels could have easily lost his ride for doing triple-digit speeds and street racing, but a friendly Texas police officer appears to send him on his way with a simple warning.
What's more, the driver in question wasn't just speeding - his Mustang was the camera car for a bunch of rolling street races in the wee hours of the morning on a Texas highway. The driver was more than willing to mix it up in the action, too. Eventually the cops catch on and pick the 'Stang to pull over, but not before the Ford owner runs a claimed 140 mph. With only audio to go on after the car is pulled over, the police officer seems incredibly nonchalant about catching someone who was so brazenly breaking the law. Incredibly, the patrolman actually tells the driver that he's seen everyone racing tonight but ignored them. With traffic picking up, the cop says that it's time to "cut it out" and go home for the night. As far as this video shows, that was the end of it.
