This is a project that needs finishing and has no title but will provide a bill-of-sale.  It is about 85 percent finished.  Has a custom frame made out of 2x3 square tubing that is Z'd up in the back to a Model T crossmember.  The front axle is original with split wishbones and a spring behind the axle.  It has 40's front drums and backing plates.  The rear is a 8" Ford with a Model A spring and split wishbones.  There are no brakes up front but the back has all new wheel cylinders and pads and has a master cylinder mounted on the frame with a brake line ran along the frame to the back just needs fluid and bled.  Has gas line and battery cable ran along other side of frame to the back just needs hooked up.  Has a Corvair steering box and a new speedway column and u-joint.  The wire wheels are 30's model with new tires on back and front tires are in good shape with plenty of tread.  The motor is a rebuilt 327 Chevy with Vortex heads, aluminum intake with a 650 Holley Carb.  The tranny is a rebuilt power glide and both motor and tranny has NO MILES on them.  The Army Jeep gas cans are the gas tanks they just need plumbed to each other and the wood ammo box is for the battery/storage as is the two lower ammo boxes.  Has a Army trailer tail light.  The body and frame is primered satin black and the firewall, wheels and suspension is painted satin green.  What it needs to finish is a wiring harness, head lights, seat brackets, drive shaft tunnel, steering column drop and a shifter.  I have a brake and gas pedal that goes with the car, they just need to be installed.  Needs a grill shell but I have a Mustang style radiator to go with it.  The floor and body still needs to be bolted to the frame.  The motor needs a water pump, fan, alternator, distributor and wires to get it running.  For more info, please contact me at 512/844-9406.  Serious inquiries ONLY.....no dreamers.

How the Ram Multifunction Tailgate compares to Ford, GMC, Honda

Wed, Feb 6 2019

Ram just announced its Multifunction Tailgate — a descriptive if not very creative name. It's an asymmetrical barn-door arrangement, which can both fold down like a conventional tailgate or swing open like a gate. There's a new bed step, but unlike Ford or GM, the step isn't part of the tailgate itself. Rather, it kicks out from under the bumper (as opposed to out from under the driver's side of the rear bumper in its previous incarnation). So let's just focus on the tailgate functionality. A video of the Ram Multifunction Tailgate in action is above. For one, either of the swinging tailgate sections can be opened independently. They open to a full 88 degrees. In conventional flip-down mode, the tailgate works just like a normal one, too, with a 2,000-pound rating. The bottom line is that while it gives a variety of types of access to the load area, it doesn't "do" anything else. It's a $995 option on any Ram 1500. Its closest analogue is the Honda Ridgeline, which works basically the same way, but on that truck the tailgate swings as one piece. And the Honda's load rating isn't as hefty as the Ram's tailgate: 300 pounds. As Honda says, that's sufficient to hold the weight of the part of an ATV hanging out of the bed, or something similar, but it's a lighter-duty unit (and a lighter-duty truck) than the Ram's overall. Let's also get Ford's one-trick tailgate out of the way before comparing to the more analogous, and complicated, GM MultiPro. A bit of trivia: Ford's optional Tailgate Step is actually designed and supplied by Multimatic, better known as the outfit that builds the Ford GT and produces the DSSV spool-valve shocks. This step has been available for years. It pulls out of the top edge of the tailgate when the tailgate is lowered, deploying a single step. A separate handle pulls out from beside the step and flips up, giving a handhold. While it was initially (and infamously) mocked by competitors, with load floor heights as high as they are it's better than toting around a stepstool. It's currently a $375 standalone option. Now we get to the GMC MultiPro tailgate, the most complicated and multi-functioned around. It's essentially a tailgate within a tailgate, with a fold-out stopper that deploys from the inner tailgate. This gives it several functions depending on the position of all the parts. It can still be used like a normal tailgate, dropping down at the push of a button or using the key fob.

Motor Trend pits Subaru WRX vs. Ford Focus ST

Thu, 23 Jan 2014

The Ford Focus ST has enjoyed a relatively calm, if brief, reign in the world of hot hatches. With nothing else in the class (in the States, at least) but the aging Mazdaspeed3 and Subaru Impreza WRX and the slow-selling Volkswagen Golf R, the Blue Oval's 252-horsepower five door has been the go-to vehicle for those that don't need the high-octane lunacy (and expense) of the rally bred Subaru Impreza WRX STI and Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X.
Now, though, as the new Subaru WRX (it's not an Impreza anymore, though, neither is it a hatchback...) starts to arrive at dealers, the Focus ST appears to be under threat for the first time. Naturally, Motor Trend is here to figure out which one is the best, with another one of its Head 2 Head videos. Host Jonny Lieberman puts both cars through their paces, going above and beyond, quite literally, at the very end of the video.
Have a look below and let us know what you think of MT's verdict in Comments.
