1927 Ford Model T Touring Car With Auxillary Trans And Rocky Mtn Brakes on 2040-cars
Oswego, Illinois, United States
This 1927 Ford Model T in its final
year of production- has everything! This car is a solid Touring Car and has all the pricey upgrades that
serious T-drivers want and need. This car was a frame-off restoration in the 60’s and
again in the last few years (2007-2013)
so she is fully ready for more driving pleasure. Has a clear -newer & interior -high compression head -new Kevlar trans bands -new 3-speed Warford auxillary transmission -new -new Brassworks radiator -newer tires & tubes -accessory Ford bumpers -new wiring -duel taillights -brake activated “stop” light -working turn signals -new timer -new side curtain- FULL SET, including gypsy curtains -speedometer installed -dash light -all new fluids -new hoses & motormeter - new plugs and wires -waterproof coilbox -new rebuilt tested coils -adjusted original aoogah horn -new engine gaskets -engine was re-freshed and maybe rebuilt -rear end rebuilt and new oil -stainless muffler and custom pipe -new steering stabilizer -rear brass rug rail -running board tool box -running board luggage rack -new rubber pedal covers -new NH carburetor and fuel line -new ammeter -new starter & rebuilt generator -new fan belt -new aluminum belt pulley -new battery cut-out system for safety -safety glass -Ford manual & original jack -LED sidelamps for extra safety at night and more…. starts right up, runs well and is powerful, the brakes grab well and the
Warford shifts smoothly and makes running at 40+ mph a treat and keeps the
engine quiet & cool at higher speeds. The paint was done in the late 60’s
and has all the normal nicks and dings of a driving car- has a few spots where
it bubbled from bad adhesion- see pics, but still looks great overall. You can
keep up with traffic in this car and stop easily, all of which make driving
this car a safe joy. Please ask any questions prior to bidding- I am happy to
help load the car if needed. $200 non-refundable deposit within 24 hours and
balance is due before pick-up. I accept a bank-to-bank wire transfer for our
safety, or cash in person, but any other arrangements need to be discussed.

The overdrive allows the engine to stay quiet and cool at higher speeds and allows comfortable cruising at 35-45 mph, direct-drive is normal Model T speed and under-drive is a safe and slow pace. I'll accept a bank cashier's check as long as there is ample time for it to clear both financial institutions. Thanks for asking! |

Is Tesla's next project an F-150 competitor? [w/poll]
Wed, 13 Nov 2013What's the future look like for Tesla after it launches the Model X CUV and possibly a smaller, sub-Model S sedan? Would you believe a pickup truck? Yes, Tesla could be looking to use its EV know-how to take the fight to Ford and the F-150, based on comments made by company founder Elon Musk.
"If you're trying to replace the most gasoline miles driven, you have to look at what people are buying," Musk said during an impromptu Q&A session following a speech at Business Insider's Ignition conference. "[The F-150 is] the best selling car in America. If people are voting that's their car, then that's the car we have to deliver."
And while the idea of electric pickup may sound kind of absurd to some, Musk makes a very valid point - if Tesla's goal is to replace gas miles with electrical miles, it simply can't afford to ignore pickups.
Ken Block is at it again in Gymkhana 6
Mon, 11 Nov 2013If there's one thing we'll say about Ken Block and his latest installment in the Gymkhana family, it's that it's far more structured than previous videos, but that doesn't mean it skimps on the entertainment. Block is on a purpose-built course which was touted as "The... Ultimate... Gymkhana... Grid... Course" in last week's preview. Unlike Gymkhana 5, which took placed on closed streets in San Francisco, this course seems much more compact.
Block has an entire array of challenges to tackle in his 650-horsepower Ford Fiesta ST, and none of them look particularly easy. In fact, we'd argue that Gymkhana 6's grid course requires much more precise driving that previous titles. There are Segways, Lamborghinis and massive pieces of construction equipment that all must be dealt with.
We've got the entire 6:28 of Gymkhana madness for you down below. Scroll down for the video and then hit Comments and let us know how this installment compares to previous Block works.
