You are bidding on a 1926 Ford Chopped Hot Rod / Rat Rod w Rebuilt Chevy 350 Motor (Model T). The car has a rebuilt Chevy 350 Motor 30 overbore w/ a bigger cam w/ about 100 hours on it, a rebuilt turbo 350 transmission, Ford 9 inch rear end, tunnel ram intake w/ dual Etolebrock 500 carburetors, MFB Electronic Ignition, and Aluminum radiator w/ built in trans cooler. I've done a lot of work on the car and she still has a little bit more to go, but is a great start for anyone looking to turn her into a full blown Hot Rod! Car runs, drives, and stops fine! Back tires are like new, front tires are a little bit older but still work great. Lead black matte paint is clean w/ "Lanchester" (Bride of Frakenstein) logo on the side. Work that still needs to be done/ improvements that could be made are: needs to be fine tuned, interior needs to be completed, I put a low car trans dip stick in it which doesn't quite feel properly on the trans (causes small leak, but not coming from the case), for the best performance you can put a regular intake with a single four barrel carb to get the best off the line torque (but the tunnel ram with the dual quads just looks awesome and the car STILL RIPS!) and although I put the small MSP distributer in it, it's very close to the firewall so when I stop on the gas when the motor torques it comes a little bit out of timing (taking a small portion out of the firewall I would recommend). Buyer handles pick-up or delivery of car. Message me with any questions and thanks for looking.

Former Ford president, Jaguar chairman Nick Scheele dead at 70
Sun, 20 Jul 2014We have the privilege here at Autoblog of reporting a lot of good news, but it is our duty as well to report the bad news and sad news as well. And this is one of those occasions as the automotive industry mourns the passing of one of its leaders.
Nick Scheele was born in the UK in 1944 and joined the Ford Motor Company upon graduating from the University of Durham in 1966, staying within the Blue Oval's portfolio for the entirety of his career. After moving to North America in 1978, he rose through the ranks to become president of Ford's Mexican operations in 1988. After acquiring Jaguar, Ford appointed Scheele as its chairman.
Scheele subsequently acted as chairman of all of Ford's European operations, making difficult decisions to take the division out of the red and into the black. He briefly headed up Ford's North American division before he was appointed in 2001 as president and chief operating officer of the global automaker, working under CEO Bill Ford following the departure of Jacques Nasser departure and retaining the role until his retirement in 2005.
Ford dealer loses Super Bowl bet, pays $300K to lucky customers [w/video]
Tue, 11 Feb 2014A Missouri Ford dealership's Super Bowl weekend sale cost it big when the improbable happened. Hutcheson Ford ran a promotion from January 29 to February 1, called the Super Weekend Sale. The gist was, if any customer purchased a vehicle between those dates and either the opening or second-half kickoff of the big game was returned for a touchdown, the dealership would refund the purchase price.
In the dealership's defense, it seemed like a safe bet. According to the mathematicians, there was just a 2.5-percent chance of either half opening with a touchdown return. But that didn't stop Seattle's Percy Harvin from doing his part to ruin Denver's evening, returning the second-half kick for an 87-yard touchdown run. Twelve Hutcheson customers were eligible for refunds thanks to the return, with prices ranging from $10,000 to $55,000, according to Automotive News. The total amount shelled out by the dealership? $300,000.
"At least we're not like that furniture guy that lost $7 million," dealership marketing manager Kathleen Frazier told AN. We think it was a big success." The dealership did take out insurance to cover its losses, meaning the $300K won't come entirely from its pockets.
Watch these videos of an NHRA racer's bodywork blowing off into a crowd
Tue, 23 Apr 2013Just a few months ago, fan safety at racetracks was a hot topic following the last-lap NASCAR Nationwide Series crash at Daytona that sent large pieces of racecars into the grandstands injuring 33 fans. Now, a freak incident at a National Hot Rod Association event resulted in a drag racer's bodywork flying into the crowd at the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals in Charlotte over the weekend. The carbon-fiber body of Robert Hight's Ford Mustang funny car blew off toward the end of a run when his engine exploded, but fortunately, the two fans evaluated after the incident were later released without serious injury.
As you can see in the image above, the body flew high into the air before landing on a walkway in front of the grandstands, a bit of happenstance that likely gave most fans enough time and space to move out of the way. Scroll down to watch a couple of videos showing what happened, including one from a fan's perspective that also reveals what appears to be part of the body's metal bracing landing dangerously close to the crowd.
