1925 Model T Ford Delivery Truck This neat little truck was restored 20-25 years ago. It’s a passenger car / light truck chassis so it has a reasonable turn of speed, for a Model T. The body was restored from an original and uses all the original hardware. The original builder is unknown, but Model T bare chassis were readily available for local builders to erect any style commercial body you might like. All the sheet metal appears to be original and in good condition. The paint is 20-some years old and does have nicks and chips. I have not gotten to cleaning and polishing but it looks like everything would shine up pretty well. The quality of the wood work is quite nice. Everything fits well and the paint on the wood is pretty good. The engine starts easily and runs well on both the battery and magneto. Transmission bands are reasonably well adjusted. I did have to install a new gas tank as the original was in pretty poor shape from sitting a couple decades with old fuel and sealer. Tires look good. I’m sure they are about the same age as the restoration but they are not weather cracked and the rubber is soft. Here is an above-average Model T that could be a usable piece of advertising for your business and a lot of fun elsewhere. This vehicle is being sold on a Maine Transfer of ownership, MVT16. Maine is a non-title state for older vehicles. I have the previous owner's registration also. I also have a notarized paper from the State of Maine stating Maine is a non-titled state and the vehicle was last registered in the state of Maine. A $500.00 deposit is required through Paypal at end of auction, balance to be paid within 14 days. Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements Please e-mail with questions If you are not in North America, Please do not bid on this car |

Ford F-150 EcoBoost in NHTSA probe for acceleration issue
Tue, 28 May 2013According to Automotive News, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is launching a probe into 400,000 Ford F-150 models over possible acceleration problems. According to the article, NHTSA has received 95 reports "alleging incidents of reduced engine power during hard accelerations" on 2011 to 2013 F-150 models equipped with the company's 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine.
Automotive News reports that Ford has issued three technical service bulletins "related to intermittent stumble/misfire on acceleration from highway cruise in humid or damp conditions," according to the government agency's documents. About one third of the 95 reports NHTSA has received cited humid or rainy conditions when these problems allegedly occurred.
These technical service bulletins have allowed dealers to address a "condition related to moisture accumulation in the charge air cooler during extended highway cruising at constant throttle in humid or damp conditions," AN reports, citing NHTSA documents. Furthermore, the TSB outlines details for "reprogramming the powertrain control module with the latest calibration and installing a new CAC and air deflector plate."

Ford decides C-Max shoppers not interested in fuel economy
Sat, Oct 25 2014If you say a car – the Ford C-Max Hybrid, for example – is "fun to drive," can anyone really come up with some empirical evidence against your claim? What about calling it "versatile"? We wonder if Ford has been thinking along these lines when it talks about the green little hatch. Ford is refocusing its sales strategy for the C-Max Hybrid after the model took a sales hit on both sides of the Atlantic recently, Automotive News reports. That sales dropoff may stem from the fact that Ford has had to revise its fuel-economy figures downward for the C-Max twice since last year, most recently in June. That made the company's once-proud fuel-economy comparisons with the Toyota Prius kind of pointless. Ford is going a different route, calling the model versatile (which, to be fair it was also doing a year ago), technologically advanced and fun to drive. Since the C-Max has about 50 more horsepower than the Prius, that last part may be true. Ford representatives didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from AutoblogGreen about the mpg-mention-free advertising direction, but we will update this post if we hear back. Sales of the C-Max Hybrid have suffered in the US. Through September, Ford sold 15,245 C-Max Hybrids, down 36 percent from last year. We shall see if a new focus away from the car's lowered mpg numbers helps. At least Ford can be pleased with sales of the C-Max Energi Plug-in Hybrid, which are up 51 percent compared to 2013.
