1924 Ford Model T Tudor Sedan Original W/extra New Parts on 2040-cars
Boynton Beach, Florida, United States
Selling my 1924 Model T Tudor sedan. I bought this car as a project and have done some work to it, but have run out of time, ability and desire. The body is in nice shape very little rust for a 90 year old car. It has some surface rust here and there, the right front fender is the only spot on the whole car where it is through(see closeup, it's small). Some surface rust under the step boards. The chassis/frame are in solid shape. The car has ancient paint, the lower windshield and rear right window are cracked, the rest of the glass is in great shape. All the windows roll up and down but are a bit stiff, the drivers goes up and down, but stops about 3/4 the way up. The tires have tons of tread left, but are starting to show tiny age cracks, so to be safe you should replace them. The wood wheels are good and solid. The interior is original and all there, should be replaced, it's pretty stained. The rubber roof and roof wood needs replacing. The wood floor is in nice shape. The battery was shot when I bought it, so I put in a new battery, and she cranks, the horn and lights work. I then put in new spark plugs, spark plug wires, rebuilt the Holley NH carb, and actually got it running but very poorly, very, very poorly, where it starts up puttery and will run a few seconds and die. It will not run long enough time to drive. That's where I am with the car right now. I went on some websites and they said check the coils, check the timer etc., that is beyond me, please be familiar with these cars before you buy. I have about $700-800 in brand new parts that go with the car. They were ordered from Macs and Langs specialist Model T parts. They are.......A roof wood kit from MACs made specifically for this car(cost $450), a custom car cover specifically for this car, Ford spare tire cover, Ford floor mats, coolant pipe, hoses and clamps, pedal boots, pedal pads, 4 window cranks, 4 window crank escutcheons, carb hot air pipe, door bumpers, brake pads and springs, step plate screws, patent plate, Ford script radiator plate, brass fuel shut off valve, 2 brass radiator petcocks, and some catalogues to order parts from. They sell the rubber roof kit for about $120, so the majority of the cost is taken care of already since I am providing the wood kit. I have tried to describe this car as well as I could and put in tons of pictures, so keep in mind it's 90 years old and needs work/restoration, so expect what you see in pictures. It is a really solid and complete car to start with. If you have a bit more knowledge and time than me, it should be up and going pretty easily. Clean, open Florida title, in previous owners name, ready to go in your name. I will also give a bill of sale. Sold as is, with no warranty. If you are local and want to inspect it before bidding, I encourage that, just let me know. No complaining or asking questions afterwards. Deposit of $250 due within 2 days through Paypal, the balance in cash within 2 weeks. If you are out of state and need more time, let me know BEFORE you bid, maybe when can work something out. Buyer responsible for shipping costs and arranging shipping plans to pick up from my house. I reserve the right to end this auction at any time, for any reason. |

Toyota Camry, Honda Civic inventories mounting as US automakers make inroads
Thu, 11 Jul 2013Two of the hottest-selling cars in America aren't quite as hot as they used to be. The Toyota Camry and Honda Civic are both seeing dealer supplies increase in the face of renewed competition from the much-improved Detroit Three.
According to a report from The Detroit News, the Camry's dealer inventory is 15 days higher than its seasonal average, while the Civic is 25 days above average. Things aren't expected to get better for Toyota and Honda, as RBC Capital Markets analyst Joseph Spak marked the two Japanese offerings as "at risk for reduced output."
The Detroit Three, meanwhile, are seeing supplies dwindle as demand increases, especially for the Ford Fusion, which has seen an 18-percent increase in 2013 sales, and the Chevrolet Cruze, which was second only to the Camry in June 2013 sales.
Ford GT successor to debut in Detroit and go racing
Thu, Dec 18 2014Anticipation for all of the exciting reveals at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show just a few weeks away is building to a fever pitch, and rumors are mounting that Ford has a big surprise in store in the shape of a future performance halo model. Insider sources speaking to Autoweek claim the next Ford supercar is definitely going to be revealed at the Detroit show in early January. However, the model is not necessarily the next-generation Ford GT in terms of its name or design aesthetic. Instead, one of these people indicates that the new halo model might drop retro styling altogether. If the latest reports are to be believed, Ford's high-performance project goes beyond something to just grab headlines and rocket down the street. According to Autoweek, the automaker is also reportedly employing Chip Ganassi Racing to run a two-car racing effort in the Tudor United SportsCar Championship in 2016. That would allegedly include a trip to the 24 Hours of Le Mans to race on the 50th anniversary of the Ford GT40's win in 1966. The speculation goes that at least the racing version might use a twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 for power. However, the motorsports part of the program may not be announced during the auto show reveal. Rumors about the new halo car from the Blue Oval and its racing intentions have been percolating for months. The company might have considered an LMP2 entry, but speculation popped up later about the production supercar. A more recent report suggested that Ford might show a new Shelby GT350R Mustang, a successor to the F-150 Raptor and next Ford GT in Detroit.
2013 Ford F-150 Limited
Mon, 28 Jan 2013The Ford F-150 received yet another new model for the 2013 model year, the Limited trim, bringing the ways you can order this country's most popular vehicle to a grand total of 10. There really is an F-150 to suit any need now, and the Limited variant slots in at the very top of the range, above the already pampering Platinum model.
While normally I would admit that I'm the least-appropriate person to test a pickup, the fact that this particular trim places a much higher premium on luxury than anything with a bed and Blue Oval badge before it means that I don't need the workman chops of a skilled tradesman to judge how well this truck meets its true aim.
