This is an adult owned T Bucket.  It was bought approximately 5 years ago out of Ojai.  It runs good and has some great curb appeal.  Please notice all of the features of this car.  I have driven it and rides nicely.  Fun for cruising town.  This also has a very easy removable top (Canvas).  Does not include Coke trailer.

The fiberglass body is in nice shape.  Th frame has been shortened 6 inches.  No large “open-area” in front of radiator and/or no large “open-area” between engine & radiator – offers a great look & profile.

Complete chrome front end with spring behind dropped tube axle.  Wildwood disc brakes up front. Custom made chrome shock mounts/brackets with Pete & Jakes chrome, short throw shocks.  Chrome hairpins, steering arm and perch cover.  Mickey Thompson 22.5/4.5-15 tires mounted on centerline rims.  Brass plated radiator shell with chrome shroud & aluminum flex fan.

Period correct 1961-283 with small bore, comp cam (nice lope).  Aluminum Weliand high rise with Edlebrock 2/4’s with aluminum scoop.  Chrome water pump, alternator, starter, dipsticks, linkage & mounts.  Chrome upper & lower hose, oil pan (6 qt.), oil filter, fly wheel cover, & aluminum Mickey Thompson valve covers.

Aluminum headlight brackets (high & low beam), chrome cawllights with marker & turn signal, & custom, mounted, side mirrors.  Split chrome windshield with H-molding & chrome, stanchions, lexan wind wings.

Has a power glide with Hurst shifter with reverse lockout.  Neutral safety switch, back up lights & transmission indicator are all working.

Matching auto meter gauges: oil, water, tack, speedometer, amps, fuel, mounted in carbon fiber dash.  Steering wheel is also carbon fiber. Has an AM/FM radio & alarm system.  Top is easily removed.

Chrome, rear radius rods, chrome, coil overs,  & complete chrome rear end including backing plates.  Rear tires are Mickey Thompson 31 x 18.5 x 15 mounted on matching center-lined rims.  Bolted on is a receiver hitch with four-wire connection & installed battery maintainer.

Has LED lights for turn signal, brake lights & license plate.  Trailer also has a stand underneath when not mounted to T-bucket.  Tongue unpins & extends for ease of backing up.

This vehicle is titled as a California Clean title "Special Construction" (2008).  It has current tags.  We listed it as a 1923 for identifying purposes.

Ford E-Series chassis cabs and cutaways to survive mass Transit onslaught

Fri, 18 Apr 2014

In March 2013, Ford announced we'd be getting chassis cab and cutaway versions of the Transit. Since incoming Transit vans will soon be rolling over the grave of the E-Series van, it was assumed that all E-Series models would go six feet under as well. According to a report from PickupTrucks.com, however, that's not the case, the report claiming that the highly modifiable E-350 and E-450 chassis cab and cutaway versions will continue being produced in Avon Lake, Ohio "at least until 2020."
Being decades old, the be-cabbed E-Series platform has found its way under an army of heavy-duty shuttle buses, work truck and ambulances. Ford spokeswoman Jessica Enoch verified the production horizon, telling Autoblog that the particular E-Series configuration "are a higher GVWR than the Transit chassis cab and cutaway (available this summer), which is more Class 2 and a new segment for us." So there you have it.

Bronco, Yukon, Hummer and a CES recap | Autoblog Podcast #610

Fri, Jan 17 2020

In this week's Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski and Assistant Editor Zac Palmer. They kick things off by talking about recent news, including the revival of the Hummer name as an electric pickup, revealing Ford Bronco spy shots and the unveiling of the 2021 GMC Yukon. Then Zac tells about his time in Las Vegas attending CES 2020. They talk about the cars they've been driving: a JCW-tuned Mini Clubman, the long-term Subaru Forester with its new gold wheels, a Volvo S60 PHEV that's been added to the long-term fleet, and a Camry Hybrid. Last, but not least, they help a listener decide how to spend his money on a sports car. Ford Police Interceptors win acceleration war against Dodge, Chevy

Thu, 17 Oct 2013

Just last month, Ford announced its first-ever non-pursuit-rated version of the Police Interceptor sedan for agencies looking to maximize fuel economy, but that doesn't mean that Ford is giving up on chasing down the bad guys. While the Dodge Charger can lay claim to the fastest lap time at the Grattan Raceway test facility held by the Michigan State Police, the results are now in for the Police Vehicle Evaluation acceleration tests. And Ford's Police Interceptor duo (sedan and utility) came out on top.
In the acceleration tests, Ford says that the Taurus-based PI Sedan with the newly available 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 was the quickest among prospective police cars in both 0-60 and 0-100 mile per hour times. The sedan posted a 0-60 time of 5.66 seconds with all-wheel drive and 5.71 seconds with front-wheel drive, besting V8-powered competitors like the Chevy Caprice and Dodge Charger by more than 0.3 seconds. These rivals close the gap on the AWD sedan in the 0-100 test with the Ford taking 13.5 seconds compared to the Chevy's time of 14.35 and the Dodge's time of 14.7.
As for utility vehicles, the Explorer-based PI Utility, which accounts for 60 percent of Ford's police vehicle sales, essentially went head-to-head with the V8-powered Chevy Tahoe with similar results. Equipped with the new EcoBoost engine option, this big SUV hit 60 mph in just 6.28 seconds and 100 mph in 15.51 seconds compared to times of 8.22 seconds and 21.95 seconds, respectively, for the Tahoe. Other important tests in the PVE include braking and top speed, but while no automakers have stepped up to boast about their numbers in either of these categories, Ford's images show that the V8 Caprice had the highest top speed of the cars at 155 mph while the Tahoe's 139-mph speed made it the fastest utility vehicle.
