1914 Ford Model T Pickup Truck

This beautiful 1914 Ford Model T Pickup Truck is a brass version with gas lamps and headlights, and wood wheels! It hasn't been run in quite a few years, but I did drain the gas tank. It was converted to a marine battery and distributor, but the original Ford battery box is still there. I'll include the two batteries in the pictures (one wooden, one plastic), as well as a 1914 owner's manual (it's a small booklet).

One of the side lamps is damaged and dented, and the cap for the headlamp oil tank is badly bent. Also, the bulb for the horn is currently being held in place with gaffer's tape. Overall, though, this is a gorgeous machine with the hard-to-find fold-down windshield. Check this lovely machine out, and feel free to ask me questions - if I can answer them, I will!

Ford E-Series chassis cabs and cutaways to survive mass Transit onslaught

In March 2013, Ford announced we'd be getting chassis cab and cutaway versions of the Transit. Since incoming Transit vans will soon be rolling over the grave of the E-Series van, it was assumed that all E-Series models would go six feet under as well. According to a report from PickupTrucks.com, however, that's not the case, the report claiming that the highly modifiable E-350 and E-450 chassis cab and cutaway versions will continue being produced in Avon Lake, Ohio "at least until 2020."
Being decades old, the be-cabbed E-Series platform has found its way under an army of heavy-duty shuttle buses, work truck and ambulances. Ford spokeswoman Jessica Enoch verified the production horizon, telling Autoblog that the particular E-Series configuration "are a higher GVWR than the Transit chassis cab and cutaway (available this summer), which is more Class 2 and a new segment for us." So there you have it.

This year's LA Auto Show has been packed with interesting debuts and fascinating industry trends. The Autoblog team is on the scene to examine all the new metal, and Senior Editor Greg Migliore has some show highlights for us in the video above. In particular, the new Fiat 124 Spider and Honda Civic Coupe stand out as important debuts. The Fiat is based on the excellent Mazda Miata, with a turbocharged 1.4-liter engine and revised styling. The Civic Coupe is a striking redesign of an extremely popular and important model for the company. And the restyled Ford Escape looks more like its bigger brother, the Explorer.
