This auction is for a 1928 Model A Roadster pickup truck.  The engine is a 1932 ford "C" four cyclinder that has received a total rebuild and runs perfectly.  The 3-speed transmission is backed by a 354 ratio differential and they too are newly rebuilt.  This combination gives this little truck its optimal power and performance while still remaining in a stock type restoration.  The frame and brakes have all been throughly refurbished as well. The inside of the truck is upholstered in the traditional brown and a Black canvas top with all side curtains to close it off from the weather.  The dash is red with a chrome instrument panel of original design with an optional oil pressure gauge in the chrome panel.  The oak wood in the bed floor is in almost new condition but could use restaining to restore its new look.  The red and black paint is certainly good enough for a driver but would need to be redone for a show-class winner.  The truck is very solid and no worries at all with any rust or corrosion.  The truck can bee seen and driven in Oxford, GA.-about 40 miles east of Atlanta.   Please ask any questions before bidding.  I can be reached at (404)-379-6330 or you can correspond thru E-bay.  At the close of auction, winning bidder must pay $500.00 by pay-pal and remainder must be paid before the truck can be picked up.  Truck can be driven anywhere or trailored if you choose.  Pickup and shipping will be the responsibility of the winning bidder.  Questions sent thru E-bay will be answered within 24 hours or you may call me on the cell # already provided.   Thanks Bill

Ford F-150 RaptorTrax is Ken Block's ultimate snowmobile

Tue, 21 Jan 2014

Even when Ken Block isn't starring in the latest Gymkhana video or tearing up Global RallyCross courses, he's finding new ways to redefine "awesome" as it applies to motorsports. For evidence of this, look no further than Block's latest Monster-badged creation, the Ford F-150 RaptorTrax.
Billed as the "world's fastest snowcat," the RaptorTrax started life as a Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, and then a set of Mattracks were put in place where the truck's bead-locked wheels and meaty rubber once resided. The goal was to create a truck that made it easier - and presumably more fun - for Block and his buddies to hit the slopes on their snowboards. Aside from the obvious track upgrades, this truck also received a Whipple supercharger, full roll cage, Recaro seats, an in-bed snowboard rack, a roof basket and a rear-mounted winch - you know, just in case something or someone actually manages to get this truck stuck.
The RaptorTrax will be on display later this week at the Winter X Games in Apsen, CO, but we'll have to wait until next winter for a full Block-worthy video of the truck. A full press release from Hoonigan Racing Division is posted below, and a high-res image can be found by clicking above.

Ford overlooks the Big Apple in the 2015 Mustang Convertible [w/video]

Wed, 16 Apr 2014

Ford has done it again. Like in April of 1964, there is once again an all-new Mustang Convertible sitting on the observation deck of New York City's Empire State Building. This has been in the making for a little while, with the first report that Ford would recreate the sky-high publicity stunt coming out a few weeks back.
The process of getting the Mustang up there wasn't exactly easy. A Troy, MI-based company chopped up the new droptop, a necessary evil to get the Mustang on the Empire State Building's only freight elevator that runs to the 86th floor observation deck. But it was slightly more involved than just taking the car apart. The company, DST, built a mockup of the ESB's freight elevators, and then practiced its cuts on a second pre-production Mustang Convertible (measure twice, cut once).
The result of all this work are the images you see above. Yes, sitting in the crisp, morning air of midtown Manhattan, over 1,000 feet up, is this brilliant, Triple Yellow Mustang. Take a look up top for our gallery of images from today's event. You can also scroll down for videos and images of the process leading up to the ESB debut.

2015 Ford F-150 pricing announced, aluminum-bodied truck up just $395

Mon, 28 Jul 2014

The eagerly anticipated Ford F-150 has had its 2015 pricing announced, adding only a small amount to the pickup's total cost, despite its weight-saving aluminum body. The XL and XLT entry level models only see a $395 boost over the heavier, current-generation, 2014 truck.
The XL starts at $26,615 while the XLT rings up at $31,890. The increase for Lariat is up a similarly negligible $895, to $39,880. Going up the ladder, meanwhile, the leather-intensive King Ranch sees the biggest jump of the F-150 family, with prices increasing $3,515, to $49,460. Finally, picking up the top-end Platinum trim will cost an extra $3,055, with prices starting at $52,155.
The higher prices are being blamed not only on the aluminum bodies, which trim up to 700 pounds of body fat, but on increased levels of standard equipment. While we were expecting a price hike, the fact that the 2015 F-150's volume trims - Ford spokesman Mike Levine told Reuters that the XL and XLT alone cover 70 percent of F-150 sales - have had less than a $400 increase is hugely impressive.
