Here is a 1929 model A pickup that is 98% complete and runs good. It is from western KS and has minimal rust. It was up dated in the 1940's with a rare Mallory distributer , a cool air breather was added and so was a very interesting oil cap. I put a new timing gear in it along with a new head gasket and other gaskets and a coil. It has some dints and dings but would look really good going down the road. It has a "barn yard" paint job. No body work is done except for back fender so what you see is what you get . A person could sand it here and there and have a cool jalopy. That's why I left the motor " barn fresh" on the outside. It really wouldn't take too long to get it going down the road. The back brakes work. The front one's aren't connected. The gas tank needs to be cleaned. It needs an exhaust. One side glass is out. Cab wood is good but if you put an original top on it you will need top wood. Needs bed wood. Bodies in this condition are getting harder to find. I hate to part with it , but the better half thinks I need to narrow my projects so to keep peace this one has to go. Roush getting back into sport compact business with Focus ST mods [w/video]
Wed, 29 May 2013Roush Performance offers a whole raft of parts for folks looking to tune their Ford Mustang and F-150 models, and now Focus owners can start getting in on the hotted-up action, too. Owners of the 2012-13 Focus and 2013 Focus ST can now get a Roush cold-air intake system, and ST owners can also opt for a high-performance cat-back exhaust.
Although all of these components are now available for order, the parts will ship sometime in July; no word yet on pricing. Down the road, Roush will also offer styling upgrades for the Focus as well as performance tuning upgrades such as engine controller, suspension, wheels and tires. Ford says 70% of its models to get stop-start by 2017
Sun, 15 Dec 2013Ford is following up on a report we posted a few weeks back that the Blue Oval would be adding stop-start technology to its entire model range. Now, the Dearborn-based automaker has announced that the fuel-saving feature would be available on 70 percent of the company's range by 2017.
Ford claims the technology will improve fuel economy by around 3.5 percent, although its actual effect will vary based on how the owner drives - apparently up to a 10-percent improvement is possible for those who sit in heavy traffic (Los Angelenos, this means you). The latest recipient of the technology is the updated 2014 Ford Fiesta with the company's three-cylinder EcoBoost powerplant.
Part of the reasoning for the new addition has to do with cost. Ford claims the tech is affordable and easy to implement. "Simply put, Auto Start-Stop helps customers use less fuel, which is an important component of Ford's Blueprint for Sustainability," Ford's global powertrain vice president, Bob Fascetti, said.
USPS releases hot rod stamps to speed up your delivery
Sun, 08 Jun 2014After one of the worst winters in recent memory for much of the country, summer is finally here. It's time to drop the top, open the sunroof or at least put down the windows and take a long drive. The United States Postal Service is celebrating the season's sun in automotive style with two new hot rod Forever stamps.
Both stamps depict classic '32 Ford hot rods. One shows the car from the front at a low angle in red (pictured above), while the other depicts the car from the back in black with flames running down the side.
To introduce the new stamps on their first day of availability, the USPS went straight to the source at the National Street Rod Association Street Rod Nationals in York, PA. They were unveiled by Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe, Car Crazy host Barry Meguiar and NSRA Special Events Director Jerry Kennedy.
