Intro

All humans have the same dream of the urge for complete freedom without boundaries. The wind in our hair, the rush of speed, and the exhilaration of G-forces pressing on our bodies from a Harley to a convertible race car. The need to satisfy these most basic human instincts began to blossom with the invention of the modern automobile. We all have the need to fly without leaving the ground! This car will make this happen for you.

The 1932 Ford continues to have a huge impact on the automotive world – not least when it comes to muscle cars. When we think of a 1932 Ford Roadster, we think of a beautiful show piece that can be driven on the street, or at Bonneville, but as a bonus this car was build to be driven either way.

This spicy little hot rod masterpiece started with a 1932 ford roadster body and it’s based on the distinctive lines of a salt flat race car currently under construction.

The vision and engineering that went into this car has a great deal of technical know-how and creativity: specially engineered one-off components, and characteristic Moon disc-styled wheels, lend the car unmistakable Bonneville flair.

Almost every young American had a modified ride of some sort back in the 1940's and 1950's. The most coveted was to be the 1932 Ford roadster. Usually fenderless and often hoodless, these stripped down lil’ gems tore up the streets of our little town.

Fast forward to the 1960s and 1970s when drag strip and street racing etiquette was more important than your social or economic background. Fat tires, pro-street rear ends, huge motors and blowers went into our beloved lil’ roadsters. The barn finds and classified ads often had non-running and complete basket case 1932 roadsters for $500 or less! With a roll bar and the aforementioned powerhouse drive trains, it was RACE TIME. The look was often primer or bright red with some local sponsor painted on the side.

In the 1980's and 1990's was a sad time for Hot Rods. Fuel injected motors were scavenged from wrecked “sports cars” and shoehorned into the engine bays of our favorite rod. The best thing to come from the 1980s was a real need for quality reproductions of the 1932 Ford. Independent companies began to design and produce affordable body reproductions of the 32 “Deuce” Roadster. With these bodies readily available and full roadworthy and safe chassis in production , it was once again ON for the Roadster craze.

Current year, the economy is in the toilet and our garages may have more assets in them than what is our bank accounts do! Show quality paint jobs, custom fabricated billet parts, amazing one-off wheels and interiors that rival those of Rolls Royce.

The Hot Rod community is made up of as many wealthy business owners, and investors as it is the garage mechanic or “gear head”. EVERYBODY WISHES THAT THEY COULD HAVE A 1932 STEEL BODY ROADSTER SHOWCAR…..PERIOD!!

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: This is a project car that is 98.5% complete and is registered as a street car with a title. The car will need to gone over to make sure that you are comfortable with what has been completed so far. I purchased the car with the intentions of finishing it, but over projects have gotten in the way and now I have another business opportunity that I want to focus on.

Ford Police Interceptors win acceleration war against Dodge, Chevy

Thu, 17 Oct 2013

Just last month, Ford announced its first-ever non-pursuit-rated version of the Police Interceptor sedan for agencies looking to maximize fuel economy, but that doesn't mean that Ford is giving up on chasing down the bad guys. While the Dodge Charger can lay claim to the fastest lap time at the Grattan Raceway test facility held by the Michigan State Police, the results are now in for the Police Vehicle Evaluation acceleration tests. And Ford's Police Interceptor duo (sedan and utility) came out on top.
In the acceleration tests, Ford says that the Taurus-based PI Sedan with the newly available 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 was the quickest among prospective police cars in both 0-60 and 0-100 mile per hour times. The sedan posted a 0-60 time of 5.66 seconds with all-wheel drive and 5.71 seconds with front-wheel drive, besting V8-powered competitors like the Chevy Caprice and Dodge Charger by more than 0.3 seconds. These rivals close the gap on the AWD sedan in the 0-100 test with the Ford taking 13.5 seconds compared to the Chevy's time of 14.35 and the Dodge's time of 14.7.
As for utility vehicles, the Explorer-based PI Utility, which accounts for 60 percent of Ford's police vehicle sales, essentially went head-to-head with the V8-powered Chevy Tahoe with similar results. Equipped with the new EcoBoost engine option, this big SUV hit 60 mph in just 6.28 seconds and 100 mph in 15.51 seconds compared to times of 8.22 seconds and 21.95 seconds, respectively, for the Tahoe. Other important tests in the PVE include braking and top speed, but while no automakers have stepped up to boast about their numbers in either of these categories, Ford's images show that the V8 Caprice had the highest top speed of the cars at 155 mph while the Tahoe's 139-mph speed made it the fastest utility vehicle.

Quitting Mexico factory helps bring down Ford earnings $200 million in 2016

Thu, Jan 26 2017

Ford released its 2016 earnings report this morning, and despite a fourth quarter net loss it proved to be the automaker's second most successful year ever, following record breaking numbers in 2015. Losses for the year come from a number of sources, including accounting changes and a $200 million hit for backing out of the small-car factory in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Despite the loss, come March 9 about 56,000 UAW-represented employees will receive a $9,000 profit-sharing check. That, like most of Ford's other 2016 metrics, is slightly down from the year before, but it's still the second best profit-sharing payment ever. Total net income was $4.6 billion, down $2.8 billion from 2015. Total revenue for 2016 was $151.8 billion, up $2.2 billion. Ford's earnings report lists a global market share of 7.6 percent, down a tenth from 2015. Ford's European and Asia-Pacific markets posted their best and second best pre-tax profits respectively. The South American, Middle East, and African markets all took hits because of unstable economies and other external factors. Ford expects to have another down year in 2017 as it invests in new and emerging markets and focuses more on its mobility projects.Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. Aussie Ford Falcon GT shows its rear end to Lamborghini Gallardo

Sun, 27 Apr 2014

When Ford Australia announces, as it did recently, that it wants to celebrate the end of its Ford Performance Vehicle division with a Falcon FPV GT-F that celebrates big-bore origins of the nameplate, it's talking about the kind of car in this video.
At some point the classic Falcon GT - said to be an XY series - was invited to a test of acceleration against a Lamborghini Gallardo. At the very least, the Falcon GT had a 351 cubic-inch motor and 300 horsepower, but whatever this guy's got under the hood of his yellow sedan makes has him so confident that he doesn't even move his elbow from its resting place on the door.
You'll find a reminder of Ford Australia's heyday, a raucous exhaust note and some NSFW language in the short video below.
