1931 ford Model A 5 window coupe with rumble seat. older restoration but done with quality in mind and it shows 20 years later. paint and metal have preserved well which makes the coupe still looks like a recent restoration, there are minor paint imperfections they are hard to see with a naked eye. this 31' runs, and drives beautifully, interior was never finished off, but is fresh and painted to match the exterior color. The bench seat looks to be the original equipment minus the vinyl overlay. the inside is ready for someones finishing touches. Have had quotes recently of $2500 for a fully finished job, done in the correct Labaron Bonnie Mohair Interior, Seat, and door panels, by a local top notch upholstery shop. Should be similar in your area. There is Not much to finishing these interior, because they are such a simple lay out. (factory). Rumble seat was finished in black vinyl, interior could be matched to the rumble seat vinyl for a very low cost and would still look very nice, depending on someone's budget. They do sell kits for the do it yourself type for around $1300.00. The Model A is powered by a 3.3 liter L-head inline-4 cylinder engine that produces around 40 horsepower when properly tuned - mated to a 3 speed un-synchronized manual transmission and could supposedly reach speeds of 65 mph when new. Four wheel mechanical brakes, White wall tires, All 5 tires are like new including wired rims. Chrome is in great shape, car is virtually rust free, solid in, out and underneath. Can send more photos, or answer question to help in your buying decision please don't hesitate to ask. Please don't assume anything, just ask. driving Lights And gauges work, this is a great runner and a great piece for any ones collection. finishing interior in original fashion will bring full value out in this Vintage coupe. Do you guys like trucks?
Wed, Jan 17 2018Do you guys like trucks? If the answer is yes, boy do we have the show for you! The 2018 North American International Auto Show is lousy with 'em. Yeah, we saw the new Ram 1500, Chevy Silverado and Ford Ranger, but that's just scratching the surface. There are big trucks, little trucks, clean trucks, dirty trucks, old trucks, new trucks, red trucks, blue trucks. It's like a Dr. Seuss book. Anyway, we made a little video for you truck nuts (see what I did there?). Check it out above, and if you're looking for more serious coverage of the Detroit Auto Show, we've got it, along with a ton of images and other videos from the show floor. Enjoy! 2014 Ford F-150 gets CNG option
Wed, 31 Jul 2013Ford is toiling away, installing heavy-duty engine components into select 3.7-liter V6s to allow them to run on compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquid petroleum gas (LPG) in addition to gasoline. That's nothing new, but now, Ford has announced that it will offer the 2014 F-150 with this engine configuration, bringing the Blue Oval's total number of CNG/LPG-friendly vehicles up to eight. The F-150 will be the only half-ton pickup on the market that can run on these gases.
Ford will charge $315 per vehicle to equip the optional engine, but the trucks won't be ready to run on the alternative fuels straight from the factory and must be upfitted with additional equipment. A Ford Qualified Vehicle Modifier will install a separate fuel system for the compressed gases at a cost of $7,500 to $9,500, depending on fuel tank size. With the right-size tank, the F-150 equipped with the CNG/LPG-prepped engine can go 750 miles on one tank of gas, according to Ford, averaging 23 miles per gallon.
The practice of offering flex-fuel vehicles is gaining momentum as businesses take advantage of cheap gas. CNG can be bought for $2.11/gallon on average (per gasoline equivalent), and sometimes for as little as $1.00 in some parts of the US, Ford states. "With the money saved using CNG, customers could start to see payback on their investment in as little as 24 to 36 months," says Jon Coleman, Ford's fleet sustainability and technology manager. The automaker expects to sell a total of 15,000 CNG/LPG-prepped vehicles in the 2014 model year.
Ring Brothers shows 1965-66 Mustang fastback carbon fiber body
Thu, 07 Nov 2013We covered one of Ring Brothers' more extreme SEMA builds yesterday, the De Tomaso Pantera-based ADRNLN, but if that well-executed but over-the-top Italian-American exotic is too much for you, then perhaps this Ring Brothers 1965 Ford Mustang fastback with a carbon-fiber body suits your tastes better.
What the performance-parts manufacturer is showcasing with the Mustang is the carbon-fiber body itself, which is fashioned around the 1965-66 fastback. It can be bought from the company and bonded to the skin and unibody as a do-it-yourself project, or you can take your Mustang to Ring Brothers and have the body installed there. The fenders, doors and quarter panels are two-inches wider than stock, and Ring Brothers offers a custom widebody chassis to those who want the complete package.
The show car looks sharp in person lowered on HRE wheels, and we appreciate the bare front end so we can see the supercharged V8 and front coilover suspension, though the details on those performance upgrades are slim. Also note the custom independent rear suspension setup at the rear.
