I bought this car about two years ago in Louisiana and started gathering parts to put it together, it has now sat for a long time and doesn't seem to be moving. I could use the money elsewhere, so I am putting it out there to see if someone else can finish it off and enjoy. When I got the car, it came with tons of parts, all of which are laid out on the ground in the pics, MANY are brand new in packages, like a new dove radiator cap, new windshield wiper motor, new door handles, new body felt, new bumperettes, new rear view mirror, new handles for the rumble seat, new bumper steps for the rumble seat, new gauge bezel, and tons of other parts. All of the wood is there and in good shape. The seats that are in it are in good shape as well and could be used without changing the covers (if you like blue). I had a new frame built by Jim Weimer Rod Garage in Wisconsin and also ordered a four link kit from JWG, both seen in pics (still have the paperwork from Jim Weimer Garage). The frame is based on 32' rails, but they kick in at the back to accomodate a factory model a floor (this frame is seen on Jim Weimer's site). The floor on this car is nice with no rust or modifications and it would be a shame to cut it up to fit the rear of a 32 frame in it. I bought some other parts (engine, trans, blower, etc., that I am selling separately). I hate to sell the body, as it is the most solid Model A body I have ever seen. There is one small hole about the size of a pea onteh left quarter, and have a patch panel for it, although it just needs filling, I would not use a patch panel (came with car when I got it). The chop of the roof was done nicely and only need to be ground down and paint prepped. If you are looking to build one hell of a nice Model A without having to do tons of body work and rust replacement, this is it! The pictures show most everything I can think of, but it would be easiest to just give me a call and I can describe the car in full detail and answer any questions you have. Thanks, Chris 501-410-3229

2015 Ford S-Max adds all-wheel drive, adaptive steering
Fri, 03 Oct 2014The Blue Oval's 'One Ford' mantra has seen rapid commonization of the automaker's products across markets, but North America still has to look from afar at most of the company's Max-branded people movers, including this new S-Max. That's a bit of a shame - we like the space efficiency and above-average driving dynamics of the C-Max models we do get, but seeing this updated seven-seat small minivan makes us want the One Ford initiative to extend even further.
The new model's changes include an updated powertrain range including a 1.5-liter EcoBoost four with 158 horsepower, and a larger, 237-horsepower, 2.0-liter model, along with a pair of revised lower-emissions 2.0-liter diesels. The big news, however, is the advent of available all-wheel drive, something that hasn't been offered since the S-Max first went on sale back in 2006.
On the technology front, the S-Max is the first European model to receive Ford Adaptive Steering, a variable-ratio technology we recently sampled in a prototype Fusion that is expected to go into production on the next-generation Edge. The S-Max also receives a new aluminum-intensive integral link rear suspension, packaged to continue to fit up to 32 different seating combinations. Safety equipment is always a prime concern in kinschleppers like the S-Max, and to that end, this new model receives pre-collision assist technology and LED headlamps.
Ford Recalling 70k Escape and Mariner Hybrids for cooling issue
Fri, 12 Sep 2014Ford is recalling about 70,209 examples of the 2005-2008 Ford Escape Hybrid and the 2006-2008 Mercury Mariner Hybrid because the cooling pumps for their hybrid systems could fail.
According to the company's defect notice, it's possible for the original "Motor Electronics Coolant (MEC) Pump" to wear out and fail, which would could cause the hybrid system to overheat. If this happens, the vehicle goes into a safety mode that takes away most or all of its power. However, braking and steering still operate normally. After cooling down, the affected models restart normally. The company says that it's not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this problem.
Ford will begin repairing the vehicles in late October, and dealers will be installing improved, brushless pumps on the affected models at no charge to owners. If drivers had their pumps fail before this recall, they can contact Ford for a possible reimbursement. Scroll down to read the recall announcement from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration or download the full defect notice as a PDF, here.
