BRIEF DISCRIPTION: For your consideration I have a nice 1930 Model A  2 door sedan. Its a good running car, its a driver quality car, it has old weak paint and dull chrome, but runs good. The interior is very presentable, the 4 tires on the ground are about 3 months old, the body is really solid "it has 1 rusty place on a raised seam in front of the drivers door down low". The mechanical brakes are good, the steering OK, but it has play in the steering wheel, past owner bought a rebuild kit for the steering gear that comes with the car. This is just a good old car that is worth restoring if you want a shinny show car or its just a good old driver as it is.

PHOTOS...PICTURES:::: ebay motors makes it hard to see all the pictures, to find more just scroll on the right side of the pictures section.

VIN/vehicle identification number: A813785

MILEAGE READING ON THE CAR:

TITLE: Clear Tennessee title in hand.

HISTORY: I know a lot of this story to be true! For many years a local old time gas station owner owned the car. It was his baby and he loved it the way it was, he didn't care about a shinny perfect show car, he just like the old car look. He passed away a couple of years ago and his wife did not want to keep the car so she sold it. I know this to be true because I knew the man and him and his wife very well.

PLEASE READ THIS!!!!!   This is a good looking Model A, its good for the price, it is not perfect, if you want a perfect car you can buy one, just get your pocket book out and have it full. My car is a just driver quality for a very fair price.

................................................................................................................................................................................

The following information is long and boring unless you want to buy the car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHO YOU ARE BUYING FROM:  My name is Ron Watson and I live in the small town of Athens, TennesseeAthens is called the friendly city”. We are located in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in east Tennessee. I am 67 years old and work with my son Keith who is now 42. I am now retired and living my dream restoring, selling and improving classic cars. For 12 years I was an auto mechanics instructor at Tennessee Technology Center here in Athens. I am also a veteran of the US Army; I served as a Chinook helicopter mechanic, crew chief and instructor in the late 60s, I did spend a year in Vietnam.  I’m Southern Baptist faith and proud to be an American.  I’ve been married to the same good woman for almost 43 years. LIFE IS GOOD IN THE GREEN HILLS OF EAST TENNESSEE!

I NOT SHOW CARS ON SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!    Sorry, but 67 years old and work 6 days a weed, I need a day to worship, spend time with family and rest my body and mind. I do answer my emails 2 or 3 times, I usually don't answer my cell phone. Life is more than just old cars!

DO I HAVE TO BUY THROUGH EBAY MOTORS? Sure, I will sell the car direct, " I will sell direct". I know a lot of you guys just use ebay as a research tool and do not like the internet or have pay pal account. Come look and judge the car for your self!

THERE ANY ACCIDENT DAMAGE?  None that I can find.

WHY AM I SELLING THIS CAR?     I’m a 67 year old retired mechanic/classic car restorer/auto mechanics intructor, when I find a car I like, can sell for a fair market price and make a few bucks, I buy it fix a few things and resell.

PAINT:     The paint would be considered driver quality, weak paint, its old and dull like me.

CHROME AND BRIGHTWORK:       Old!

INTERIOR:    The interior is pretty good, no real wear, the headliner is good.

GLASS:   The glass is not broken, its just old stuff.

EXHAUST SYSTEM:  The exhaust is in good used condition.

TRANSMISSION:

3 speed manual transmission, it shift good to me, these were not simonized gearing, so don't expect to do any speed shifting.

REAR-END:    Its good with no whines or growls other than normal Model A sounds.

BRAKES:  Good for mechanical brakes.

STEERING:  The car drives like most old Model A Fords, it has play in the steering gear, past owner bought a rebuild kit for it, but never put it in, it comes with the car.

WHEELS AND TIRES:   Original 19 inch wheels, the 4 on the ground are new.

LIGHTS:     Headlights have been converted to sealed beams, still 6 volt.

PAPERWORK: I know what to do! We are just a father/son 2 man operation, but we are a Tennessee licensed/bonded car dealer and have sold cars all over the US and exported many.

THIS IS NOT AN AUCTION, THIS IS A FIXED PRICE LISTING: I reserve the right to stop the listing at any time and sale the car “come look”.

I RESERVE TH RIGHT TO STOP THE LISTING AT ANY TIME. THE CAR IS FOR SALE ON THE LOCAL MARKET.

WHERE THE CAR IS LOCATED:  The car is here at my home in Athens, Tennessee. Athens is in east Tennessee, we are 50 miles south of  Knoxville. Look at a Road Atlas and follow interstate 75 south from Knoxville. I live one mile and one turn from the interstate exit. My zip code is 37303. The closest large airport is Knoxville. Athens does have a good small airport, but has no commercial flights.

WHO YOU ARE BUYING FROM:  My name is Ron Watson and I live in the small town of Athens, TennesseeAthens is called the friendly city”. We are located in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in east Tennessee. I am 67 years old and work with my son Keith who is now 41. LIFE IS GOOD IN THE GREEN HILLS OF EAST TENNESSEE!

MY AREA CODE FOR TRANSPORT: The area code for Athens, Tennessee is 37303. I live 1 mile off a major interstate (I-75) and 35 miles south of interstate 40,  so transport is usually very fast.

PAYMENT: I require a $250 deposit for a Buy Now or to hold the car, this can be by PayPal, but I will not take full payment by PayPal.

Option 1: Pay the old school way face to face.

Option 2: Pay by check, I will wait till the check clears, I have had

                          a fake bank certified check.

Option 3: The safest and fastest is to let our banks handle it, my bank is a

member of the US Federal Reserve, this is called wire

                           transfer.

INSPECTIONS: Please come look and be happy. All inspections are required to be done before the end of the listing. I listed this car as I see it as a 64 year old car restorer, please come and judge it for your self. I judge the car to my standards, this may not be yours. Paid inspectors are welcome, but they can make a good car sound bad on the report. They have to be very critical to cover their back sides. I understand how hard it is to buy a car without looking, but I think you should come look yourself.  I don’t like paid inspectors, I like for the person that is buying to inspect for themselves. I think its fine to send a friend to inspect for you. To make it clear, don’t hit the buy now button and then inspect, come inspect first!

TRADES: Please no trades!

BOTTOM LINE:    My real price is $8,999,  I would ask more if the paint was more perfect, I'm asking more on the local market. The game is not rocket science, ask a price on the local markety and come down. It’s not fun to bargain over the cell phone all day long with people that live 2000 miles away and are not going to buy anyway. My firm price is the Buy Now price. I have sold every car I have ever tried to, so I’m not motivated to be bargained down.

PLEASE!!!!!!   PLEASE!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! Come look at this vehicle.

Please don’t hit the Buy Now button unless your ready to really buy it!

Do your research, call me with questions, read my feed backs, I am ebay verified; this means they say I’m a real person in a real place.

I WILL BE VERY HAPPY TO SELL YOU THE VEHICLE WITH-OUT AN INSPECTION; YOU JUST HAVE TO HAVE A LOT OF NERVE AND PLEASE DON’T BE A CRY BABY.

Read the ME section on the upper right hand part of the listing marked seller info.

Thank You,

Ron Watson                  cell: 423-506-8987        email: dreamcar@live.com

Ford looks back on 50 years of the Mustang in Detroit

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

Ford has something special sitting in its booth here at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. In fact, it brought two special somethings in the form of the Ford Mustang 1 Concept that first saw the light of day in 1962 and the very first production Mustang that rolled off the production line in 1964.
These classic creations are sharing floor space with the brand-new 2014 Mustang in honor of the pony car's 50th Anniversary. Since Ford's latest 'Stang already made its auto show debut (at a number of locations, including Los Angeles), we think it's pretty cool that the Blue Oval did something special for its home-town show.
Check out both the Mustang 1 Concept and first production 1964.5 Mustang above and below.

Ford 2Q profit drops 86% as it restructures overseas

Thu, Jul 25 2019

DEARBORN, Mich. (AP) — Ford's net profit tumbled 86% in the second quarter due largely to restructuring costs in Europe and South America. Net income for the April-through-June period dropped to $148 million, or 4 cents per share. Without the charges the company made 28 cents per share. Revenue was flat at $38.9 billion. On average, analysts surveyed by FactSet expected earnings 31 cents per share on revenue of $38.49 billion. Chief Financial Officer Tim Stone says the company had charges of $1.2 billion as it moved to close factories in Europe and South America. He says Ford already is seeing an impact from its global fitness measures that included a reduction of 7,000 white-collar workers. Ford, which released numbers after the markets closed Wednesday, says its results include a $181 million valuation loss on an investment in a software company, trimming 4 cents off adjusted earnings per share. Its stock fell 6.3% in after-hours trading to $9.68. Stone said Ford is in the early stages of its restructuring, but already is seeing improvement in some regions. Free cash flow also improved by 80% to $2.1 billion in the first half of the year, he said. "We're already starting to see some early benefits," he said. "A lot of work to do." The company expects improvement in the second half of the year as more new big SUVs hit dealerships and more of the restructuring takes hold. Ford on Wednesday forecast pretax adjusted earnings of $7 billion to $7.5 billion for all of 2019, compared with $7 billion last year. The company previously had only said that pretax earnings would improve. Full-year adjusted earnings per share are forecast to be $1.20 to $1.35, up from $1.30 in 2018. Previously it did not give per-share guidance. Ford's U.S. sales fell nearly 5% in the second quarter, according to the Edmunds.com auto pricing site, as the company exited most of its passenger car business. But Stone said sales of the new Ford Ranger small pickup offset much of that as its share of the small truck segment rose 14%. Edmunds, which provides content for The Associated Press, said Ford's average vehicle sale price rose 2.8% to $41,328 during the quarter. In North America, Ford's biggest profit center, pretax earnings fell 3% to just under $1.7 billion, which the company blamed on switching its Chicago factory to build new versions of midsize SUVs.
