1930 Ford Roadster, Henry Ford, All Steel Model A, Not A 1932 on 2040-cars
Tustin, California, United States
This
auction is for a good 1930 Ford Roadster. Clean 1930 Ford Title in hand. It is black and shinny and drives
and runs good. Very nice interior and rumble seat. The cars gauges and all the lights work right. The head
lights work correctly with the bright and dim switch on the steering
column. It has two taillights and has a four blade fan with the leak
less water pump. It does not run hot at all. It has an Alternator instead of
the old generators. It has a new fuse block and fuse and wires on the
starter. It also has a new battery box and battery hold down and a new ignition
box that goes on the fire wall above the back of the head. It also has a pair
of small side windows that go with the car. I have
found no rust on the at all, as you can see in the pictures of the bottom
panels, witch were replaced rears ago. It went through a complete body off
restoration about 10 years ago and it still shows great. It does have a few
small chips and a ding or two on it. It is not a show car but with a little
work it could be. The top looks new with no rips or tears in it and lowers and
raises easy. The interior is in excellent shape. It has 5 good tires with a stainless steel spare tire cover. I will except foreign bidders
but will have to know where your from before you bid. All shipping will be the
responsibility of the winning bidder. I will hold the car in my person for a
few days, but full payment will have to be made within 5 days of end of
auction. I except M.O,s and cash of course, and electronic money transfer and
also pay-pal. Thank you so much for looking at this auction and may God
Bless. If you have any questions about the
car, please call 714-838-7983, the car is located in Orange County California and sold "as is" due to it's age. Thanks... |

How Ford secretly used customers to test its aluminum F-150 [w/video]
Fri, 30 May 2014Automakers getting clever about disguising development vehicles isn't anything new. Between mules wearing the sheetmetal of other cars and prototypes decked out in as much camouflage as is practical, automakers know how to make it very difficult for the general public to get an exact idea of what kind of vehicle is in development. Ford, though, is rapidly becoming the master.
We knew that the Blue Oval originally tested the durability of the aluminum construction being used for the 2015 F-150 by building an all-aluminum 2014 truck and entering it in the Baja 1000 off-road race. That's no longer a secret. What we didn't know, though, is that the aluminum development dates back to before even that, and that some of the people in question had no idea what it was they were working with.
Ford says this is the first time prototypes have ever been handed over to the public.

Ford spills SEMA all over its Expeditions
Sat, 01 Nov 2014If you're going to this year's SEMA Show in Las Vegas, it's going to be tough to miss the Ford booth, simply for its size. The Blue Oval is bringing over a dozen customized examples of the 2015 Mustang and a quintet of modded Transits. The latest announced addition is a trio of upgraded 2015 Expeditions showing different takes on the recently refreshed SUV.
Any vehicle tuned by Dub Magazine needs to ride on massive wheels, and the Expedition (pictured above) that it has for SEMA is no exception. The SUV has 26-inch Dropstars wheels wrapped in Pirelli tires, and, making them look even larger, the suspension is also lowered. The rest of the custom has some mild upgrades like mesh grilles in front, tinted windows, an integrated radar detector and new upholstery inside.
Tijn wants to boost the performance of the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 for its take on the Expedition. The company claims to add 40 horsepower to bring total output to a claimed 405 by upgrading the engine with a charge cooler from Vortech Engineering, a custom side exhaust and a custom tune. To match the extra grunt, the SUV also gets bigger brakes, an Air Lift suspension and 24-inch, copper-colored wheels with custom fender flares.
