1930 Ford Roadster, Henry Ford, All Steel Model A, Not A 1932 on 2040-cars
Tustin, California, United States
This
auction is for a good 1930 Ford Roadster. Clean 1930 Ford Title in hand. It is black and shinny and drives
and runs good. Very nice interior and rumble seat. The cars gauges and all the lights work right. The head
lights work correctly with the bright and dim switch on the steering
column. It has two taillights and has a four blade fan with the leak
less water pump. It does not run hot at all. It has an Alternator instead of
the old generators. It has a new fuse block and fuse and wires on the
starter. It also has a new battery box and battery hold down and a new ignition
box that goes on the fire wall above the back of the head. It also has a pair
of small side windows that go with the car. I have
found no rust on the at all, as you can see in the pictures of the bottom
panels, witch were replaced rears ago. It went through a complete body off
restoration about 10 years ago and it still shows great. It does have a few
small chips and a ding or two on it. It is not a show car but with a little
work it could be. The top looks new with no rips or tears in it and lowers and
raises easy. The interior is in excellent shape. It has 5 good tires with a stainless steel spare tire cover. I will except foreign bidders
but will have to know where your from before you bid. All shipping will be the
responsibility of the winning bidder. I will hold the car in my person for a
few days, but full payment will have to be made within 5 days of end of
auction. I except M.O,s and cash of course, and electronic money transfer and
also pay-pal. Thank you so much for looking at this auction and may God
Bless. If you have any questions about the
car, please call 714-838-7983, the car is located in Orange County California and sold "as is" due to it's age. Thanks... |

Inside Ford's high-tech climate chamber
Sat, Dec 27 2014There are two ways an automaker can test its vehicles in extreme climates: it can send said vehicle around the world – from Death Valley to the Arctic Circle – in search of the harshest weather, or it can recreate those conditions in an enclosed environment. We're sure that many automakers undertake some combination of both, but in this latest video clip, Ford shows us around inside it's state-of-the-art climate chamber. At its Driveability Test Facility in Allen Park, MI – inaugurated in 2010 just across the street from the Roush Technology Center – Ford can simulate all sorts of extreme conditions. It can drop the temperature down to -40 degrees Fahrenheit or raise it up to 130, and take it up to a simulated 12,000 feet above sea level or drop it down to 280 feet below. blast it with 150-mile-per-hour winds. It can control the level of humidity, approximate the intensity of the sun and even blast the test vehicle with artificial snow, just like your favorite ski resort. The facility strikes us as an engineering feat as impressive as some of the vehicles it's used to test, but don't take our word for it – scope it out for yourself in this brief two-minute video clip, which even includes some helpful tips for winter driving this holiday season and beyond. Ford F-150, Toyota Tacoma top ASG list of most eco-friendly trucks
Mon, Mar 31 2014No one's going to confuse the massively popular Ford F-150 pickup truck with a green vehicle, but at least it performs well in an environmental sense when compared to its brethren. The Automotive Science Group (ASG) took on the odd (to us, at least) task of measuring which pickup trucks are friendliest to the environment and found that the big seller in the Blue Oval's flagship F-series came up big, while the Toyota Tacoma came up, well, slightly smaller. That's a good thing. Among the 245 light-duty trucks that ASG studied, the 3.7-liter V6-powered F-150 won ASG's award for full-size trucks for both regular and crew cabs. Meanwhile, the 2.7-liter Toyota Tacoma, with its fuel-economy rating of 23 miles per gallon combined, had smallest overall life-cycle carbon footprint and won ASG's two mid-sized categories. Finally, the Chevrolet Silverado won best all-around performance in the full-size extended-cab category. The ASG factored in eco-friendliness, price and social performance (which is measured by, "considering the rights of those charged with vehicle manufacture and assembly") to come up with its findings. Sales of Ford's F-Series trucks rose 8.4 percent last year to 74,592 units and accounted for more than a third of the total 2013 sales of Ford and its Lincoln unit. Check out the ASG's press release below. Truck Buyers Faced With "Eco" Options Galore Which 2014 full-size trucks warrant eco claims? 25 March 2014 [Santa Rosa, CA] – With a myriad of eco-branded trucks hitting the North American marketplace in 2014 – from Ford's EcoBoost and GM's EcoTec3 to Ram's latest addition, the EcoDiesel – the Automotive Science Group (ASG) was prompted to offer an objective, scientifically-based assessment to determine exactly which 2014 trucks actually earn their "eco" badge. According to ASG and the principles of ecological economics, a vehicle's eco-rating must be multi-faceted to include both environmental and economic considerations, and so the Group's proprietary rating platform – the Automotive Performance Index – does just that. Using a unique combination of vehicle data inputs that include conventional specifications as well as social, environmental and economic performance indicators, ASG's vehicle assessments empower consumers to make choices based on one's personal principles and financial requisites.
