VERY RARE, AND BOY I HAVE LOOKED! THIS TRUCK HAS HAD MINOR RESTORATION, SOME PAINT, SOME SEAT COVERING, SOME CUTE WOOD STAKES ON THE BED, OTHER WISE IT IS VERY ORIGINAL AND IS READY TO DRIVE ANYWHERE! THAT IS OF COURSE IF YOUR NOT IN TOO BIG A HURRY, I HAVE NEVER DRIVEN IT FASTER THAN 45 MPH AND REMEMBER YOU DO HAVE TO STOP WITH MECHANICAL BRAKES!!! THE ENGINE SOUNDS GOOD AND IT STARTS WELL AND ALWAYS HAS. TRANSMISSION SHIFTS WELL AND CLUTCH SEEMS PRETTY DECENT. ALL LIGHTS WORK AS THEY SHOULD INCLUDING THE SINGLE BRAKE LITE. IT HAS A CRANK TO START THE ENGINE BUT THE 6 VOLT BATTERY AND STARTER SYSTEM HAS ALWAYS WORKED JUST FINE, SO I HAVE NEVER TRIED TO USE THE CRANK. I DO HAVE AN OWNERS MANUAL, AND IT ALSO COMES WITH A SPARE TIRE. THE REAR END HAS A VERY SLIGHT LEAK(LIKE A DROP A WEEK). THE ENGINE HAS A VERY SLIGHT LEAK ALSO, PROBABLY THE OIL PAN AGAIN A COUPLE DROPS A WEEK. ALL INSTRUMENTS ON DASH WORK PROPERLY. THE DOORS AND WINDOWS WORK PROPERLY. THE CANVAS TOP HAS PROBABLY BEEN CHANGED AT SOME TIME IN ITS LIFE TIME, BUT NOT WHILE I HAVE OWNED IT. I HAVE ALWAYS KEPT THIS TRUCK IN A HEATED AND AIRCONDITIONED GARAGE. THE TRUCK BED HAS WOOD DECKING AND IS PERFECT AND LOOKS ORIGINAL.

Woman trades 1914 Model T in for 2013 Corvette
Wed, 17 Apr 2013We're sure that dealers must see all sorts of interesting trade ins, but this one may take the cake. Red River Chevrolet in Bossier City, Louisiana, recently had a customer come in with an odd request. Tina Boyter wanted to trade in three vehicles on a brand-new 2013 Chevy Corvette. Among the hardware was 1980 Corvette, a 1978 Cadillac Eldorado and a 1914 Ford Model T. While the '80 Corvette had been her personal car for years, the '78 Eldorado had belonged to Boyter's mother before she traded up to a Lincoln. The big Caddy had just 10,290 miles on the clock when it was traded in.
And the Model T? Boyter says the car was built as a racer by Ford, and that it had been a show winner for years when it belonged to her father. But, after spending the last 16 years in a museum with its fluids drained, Boyter decided it was time to shed some of the past. She walked into the dealer, laid eyes on a white 2LT Corvette with a red interior and offered to trade all three of the vehicles in on the sports car.
Why not wait for the C7? "I fell in love with that one when I walked in the door," She said. We can't fault her there.
Ford Focus EV's slow sales trigger massive incentives
Fri, 25 Jan 2013The Detroit News reports Ford is having real trouble moving its new Focus Electric. As a result, the automaker is offering substantial incentives in an attempt to lure in more buyers. How substantial? Try $10,750 off of a three-year lease. What's more, the EV can now be had for $37,995 ($2,000 less than its original base price) on top of an additional $2,000 cash discount to buy the EV outright - or you can opt for 1.9-percent financing if you work through Ford Motor Credit. None of which factors in various potential government incentives. Last year, Ford managed to sell a paltry 685 of the 1,627 Focus EV hatchbacks it built.
Ford isn't alone in trying to woo more buyers to its EV effort. Nissan cut the price of its Leaf by a whopping 18 percent for 2013, now down to $28,800 and built in the USA. The move followed the automaker's substantial incentives in 2012.
If you want a Focus Electric, you can now apparently get your hands on one for as little as $285 per month with $930 due at signing for a 36-month lease with 10,500 miles per year.
Next Lincoln Navigator to drop V8 in favor of V6, but Ford Expedition might get both
Tue, 12 Mar 2013A great many buyers fled from full-size body-on-frame SUVs to car-based crossovers in large measure to save fuel. But that doesn't mean there's still not a buying audience for more traditional truck-based utility vehicles, and those consumers doubtlessly wouldn't mind saving some dollars at the pump, too. According to Motor Trend, those shoppers might be in luck.
That's because the magazine has confirmed that Ford isn't walking away from the full-size SUV segment, and it's poised to do something about its offerings' economy ratings, too. According to MT, global Lincoln director Matt VanDyke has hinted that the next Navigator may drop two cylinders and go with a V6 model - the current model gets just 14 miles per gallon in the city and 20 on the highway from its 5.4-liter V8. The obvious fitment would be Ford's 3.5-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V6, an engine that has spread like kudzu throughout the rest of the Blue Oval's large vehicle lineup.
Downsized turbocharged engines like Ford's EcoBoost franchise have come under fire as of late for not delivering their EPA fuel economy ratings, but their benefits extend beyond consumption - the 3.5L offers superior power and a better torque curve than the naturally aspirated V8. MT also suggests that Ford's 3.7-liter V6 could form the base engine for the next Navi - it has similar horsepower but a lot less torque than the current 5.4L. That may be less of a problem with the next generation tipped to go on a diet, which could level the playing field somewhat.
