1930 Ford Model A Roadster Coupe Hot Rat Rod Street 355 Sbc Drives Great Chevy on 2040-cars
Whitley City, Kentucky, United States
Vehicle Title:Clear
Make: Ford
Drive Type: Roadrster
Model: Model A
Mileage: 49,361
Trim: NA
1930 Ford Roadster runs and drives great. Solid body with dings and dents. This car has been driven a lot plenty of 100+ mile round trips going to cruise ins and shows has been very reliable. Doesn't need anything to be driven but could use front shocks and a different windshield set up.
Chassis
2"X4" square tubing Z'd in rear. Rear suspension is Chevelle type triangulated four link on coil overs rear end is a later model Malibu rear with disc brakes and is non posi traction. I think the gear is a 3.42 it has no problem keeping up with traffic at reasonable engine RPM. Front end is a 39 ford straight axle with split wishbones, suicide steering , transverse leaf spring and disc brakes. ALL new brake lines, master cylinder Calipers are new or rebuilt. 4 wheel disc brakes stops good.
Engine
350 small block chevy bored 30 flat top pistons completely rebuilt with new pistons, stock cam, lifters, rings, bearings, gaskets, seals, water pump, pulleys, and the head were rebuilt as well. Eldelbrock carb on a aluminum intake. HEI distributor. Has chrome pans and covers. Headers have muffler built in them and turn outs. Engine runs great with no issues.
Transmission
Turbo 350 stock convertor shifts out good has a B&M shifter and trans cooler.
Interior
Basic interior two van seats, B&M shifter a couple gauges, wood dash no non essential items.
Body
Body is solid has been patched here and there but does have dings and dents as expected in a rat rod. Passengers door has a lot of dents and is the worst part of the car. The windshield frame on it really needs to be replaced with a original type it functions fine I just don't like the look of it. Speedway motors sells them new or used ones are available if you look. trunk doesn't open it wouldn't matter if it did because the frame kicks up so high in the rear that it doesn't leave any room anyway.
Wheels and tires
Convo pro wheels and the tires have good tread.
Electrical
All new wiring harness, switches, turn signals, head light, cowl lights, and tail lights. All lights work and signals work.
Any questions just ask. This car has a Kentucky assigned VIN # and a clear title it is titled as a 32 Ford it has been inspected by the state and if the buyer wants I can have the state update the title to a 30 it will take some time to have this done.

Ford Mustang EcoBoost has fake engine soundtrack
Wed, 24 Sep 2014The 2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost represents a huge change for the Blue Oval as the first pony car in decades to be available with a four-cylinder engine. But a recent tweet (below) from Road & Track raised our curiosity about the new vehicle. Editor Jason Cammisa pulled a fuse while driving the latest 'Stang with the 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine, and he found that both the stereo and engine went quiet in the cabin. That indicated the coupe might have some form of artificial engine sound being piped in - a feature not previously heavily reported for the model. Autoblog spoke with Ford engineer Shawn Carney who confirmed that only the turbocharged four-cylinder Mustang comes with this system, called Active Noise Control.

Ford Q1 profits dragged down by warranty costs
Fri, 25 Apr 2014General Motors isn't the only Detroit automaker posting falling profits in the first quarter. Ford just released its Q1 2014 financial data, and it reported a net income of $989 million, down $622 million from Q1 2013. The drop is partially blamed on higher warranty and recall expenses than the company had anticipated.
Financially, Ford suffered a rough quarter almost across the board. Its pre-tax profit of $1.4 billion was also down $765 million from a year ago. Things were even worse in the North American market where operating profit fell significantly to $1.5 billion, down from $2.392 billion in Q1 2013. However, its global revenue ticked up slightly to $35.9 billion, from $35.6 billion in this period in 2013.
Ford admitted that it spent about $900 million on expenses that it hadn't planned for during this quarter. According to Reuters, the company paid about $400 million in additional warranty and recall costs in North America. The automaker didn't explain why the costs were so much higher than expected. However, in the last three months, Ford has had several recalls, including on the 2001-2004 Escape for rust, Explorer for its steering, Edge for its fuel line and others.
Ford blamed in drug mule lawsuit
Tue, 30 Jul 2013If a college student is caught smuggling drugs across the border, one might think the kid got what was coming to him. But when a Mexican student at the University of Texas in El Paso was caught by Border Patrol agents with duffel bags filled with marijuana in his trunk, the man used a classic excuse: He claimed they weren't his.
While a claim like that is almost unbelievable, Ricardo Magallanes, the student, is now suing Ford for handling its vehicles' key codes negligently enough to allow drug smugglers to break into his Ford Focus and stash the drugs, The Daily Caller reports. The twist here is that four other people who lived in Juarez and worked in El Paso were involved in the same type of scheme - allegedly unwittingly, just like Magallanes - and all the cars were Fords except one model from General Motors. FBI agents also found an employee at a Dallas Ford dealership that had accessed the key codes to all four of the cannabis-stuffed Fords.
While we all may not own Fords, the case still causes us slight paranoia. We'll definitely be checking our trunks before we cross any more international borders.
