Up for bid is a beautiful 1930 Ford Model A Deluxe Roadster with only 24,237 Miles from new. This car was in a Ford Showroom for over 22 years on display as a beautiful original example and then about eight years ago I meet the father & son who had owned it all those years and had done a complete body off ground up show restoration and sell the car. A friend of mine always wanted a beautiful roadster so we flipped a coin and he purchased the car. Fast forward he called me last year and I purchased his collection with this roadster. In the years he had the car he put less than a thousand miles on the car. This car was all done to its original colors of Stone Brown with deep stone gray belt moldings with Tacoma Cream Wheels and pin stripe. There are only a couple of small spots where the paint has some bubble areas near the belt edges but nothing I would touch nor takes away from the high gloss super paint on this lovely car. I have to also say that this roadster being a low mileage example has the most beautiful body I have ever seen on any Roadster. It is strait as an arrow with a beautiful fit and contours to the doors and rumble lid. This car as you see also has the dual side mounts, stone guard, moto-meter with wings, and original leather trunk with a fitted canvas cover to match the top and a complete set of side curtains with the proper boot all never used. This car also has an optional oil pressure gauge and an original Manifold heater that was a dealer installed item when the car was purchased and has been with the car since leaving the show room. A leak-less water pump as also been installed and the car has the original crank. The leather is stunning on this car as well far better than most with a lot of money spent and the car retains the original correct chrome wiper motor as well. The car rides beautiful on the correct shocks and also shifts smooth and quiet as a low mileage car should. You have white wall tires on all six wheels and are as new. Another thing I must mention is the factory extended bumper where it extends outward beyond the trunk rather than inward. This can be used either way if so desired. The entire car inside, outside and underside are just beautiful and if you want a great Deluxe Roadster don’t let this one go. This car is priced fair for its condition to sell at less than $ 30,000 and not crazy like some that are so-so cars. A lot of value here for the money. Best of luck.

Discussion Topics for Autoblog Podcast Episode #324 Geneva Motor Show highlights from Zach
Stateside, Ford execs are quick to point out the automaker's expansion in the plug-in sector. And despite a minimal presence in the pure EV space, the Blue Oval has been promoting its plug-in vehicles as part of an overall effort to boost fleetwide fuel economy. Too bad the company's UK chief didn't get the memo. There's "no point in us getting behind [EVs] and losing a fortune" - Ford's Mark Ovenden Mark Ovenden, speaking rather frankly at the Geneva Motor Show recently, said he didn't have real high hopes for substantial electric-vehicle adoption and said the company's money was better spent on smaller gas- and diesel-powered engines, the UK's Daily Mail says. Ovenden said of EV development that there was "no point in us getting behind it and losing a fortune," adding that his goal was to have variants of Ford's EcoBoost engine in 40 percent of the company's vehicles. Ford has about a 15-percent market share in the UK. The UK doesn't appear to be as kind to the EV as the US. Nissan last year cut the price of its all-electric Leaf there last year by about $4,000, while the company rolled out a promotion for the Leaf late last year, including allowing Leaf drivers to borrow a gas- or diesel-powered Nissan for free for as long as two weeks a year during the first three years of Leaf ownership. In the US, Ford sold just 229 Ford Focus Electrics during the first two months of the year after moving 1,738 units in 2013.
Consumer Reports has released its annual Car-Brand Perception Survey, and the list looks awfully familiar. The top six brands are identical to last year's results, with Toyota, Ford and Honda continuing to occupy the podium. All told, Toyota walked away with 133 points, putting it 15 ahead of second-place Ford. Honda jumped 26 points this year, narrowing Ford's lead to just four points in total. Consumer Reports polls buyers from across the country on how they see multiple brands in seven categories, including quality, safety, value, performance, design/style, technology/innovation and environmentally friendly/green. Researchers then combine the findings to come up with the total brand score. While value and performance remain important to buyers, CR found quality and safety are still on top when it comes to significance. Scion and Mitsubishi found themselves at the bottom of the pack with the worst score of all, tied at just six points. Ram, Fiat and Mini filled out the lowest five with scores of seven, eight and 10 points, respectively.
