Time has come to sell my 1930 Model a 5 window coupe. It has been a long and extensive build - the car is definitely over-built with lots of custom work everywhere...
The body has been professionally chopped and channeled onto the frame with a custom firewall, trans tunnel and floor The frame is custom and is fully boxed and has been Zzed in the Rear with a beautiful glossy finish The motor is a 392 Oldsmobile with the matching Hydramatic transmission (reverse is all the way at the end) Offenhauser Intake Manifold w/ a Progressive Tri-Power Setup (center carb at idle and other 2 open at about half throttle) Custom Headers with Baffles (you can have a conversation at idle inside the car, but when you stomp on it everybody knows you're there!) 10 Bolt Rear with highway gears and Coil Cprings Disc Brakes on the Front (stops on a dime) Aluminum Radiator w/ Electric Fan Front window folds out like it is meant to Fuel Cell in the trunk w/ electric fuel pump Chrome Pulleys Reverse Lip Chrome Wheels with Baby Moons and Bullets Wide White Wall Tires all around (wider in rear) Front Grill, Firewall, and Frame are gloss black - the body is painted satin black Chrome Front Shocks Chrome Steering Arms The list goes on and on.......
It's basically a turn-key hotrod, get in and have a blast all day long. Drives great, runs cool, feels awesome on the road, steering is very precise and easy to control, etc... No rust on the body (started with a very clean car), motor and transmission were gone through about couple of years ago and it has always been well taken care of. The amount of chop is perfect - I am 5'11 170lbs and I fit very comfortably inside, even with a friend of similar size there is more than enough room for both of us (steering wheel comes off to get in and out easier but I never do). Ford readying three-row Edge for China
Fri, Nov 21 2014The next-generation Ford Edge will be available with quite a growth spurt for its debut in China next year, with newly announced plans also to build and sell a three-row version exclusively in the People's Republic. However, markets outside of there likely won't see the larger model. Ford marketing boss (and future head of Ford of Europe) Jim Farley announced the three-row version of the crossover at the Los Angeles Auto Show, according to Automotive News. To create the extra room, Ford made the Chinese-built variant about 16 inches longer than its two-row counterpart. Farley didn't specify at which of the Blue Oval's plants in the country this model would be assembled. The Explorer and forthcoming Everest already offer three rows from the Ford lineup in China, but the company thinks the market can easily support all of them. According to Farley to Automotive News, the utility segment is up 485 percent in the country since 2008. Customers in the US can still look forward to the two-row Edge hitting dealers early next year. It'll be the first model in the Blue Oval's lineup here to come standard with EcoBoost power.
Exceptionally rare '65 Ford GT40 Roadster prototype up for auction
Sat, 14 Jun 2014Think of mid-engined supercars and your mind is bound to gravitate towards Europe, but the United States has been known to make a handful from time to time - exceptional vehicles from the likes of Vector, SSC, Mosler, Hennessey, and Saleen. But long before any of those came around, Ford famously became obsessed with beating Ferrari at its own game, leading to the development of the iconic GT40.
The story is well known, sending Ford to the checkered flag at Le Mans four times in a row in the late 1960s. Ford and Shelby also built over 100 for public consumption, but just four of them were roadsters. Of those only one remains in original condition, and now that exceedingly rare example going up for auction.
Consigned to RM Auctions for its mid-August sale during Pebble Beach weekend in Monterey, California, this 1965 model is the first GT40 Roadster built. It was used as a development and demonstration vehicle for Ford and Shelby. Carroll Shelby himself drove Henry Ford II in this very car during one of many test and demo events, this time held for Ford's board of directors in Los Angeles.
Ford Transit Skyliner Concept does discreet luxury in NYC

They're cool, and as a means of getting chauffeured about, they're extremely comfortable and far more low key than your typical executive luxury sedan. For the 2014 New York Auto Show, Galpin Auto Sports has shown the potential of the new-for-the-US Ford Transit as an ultra-luxurious people hauler.
The Transit Skyliner Concept, which we previewed last week, sports four finely crafted captain's buckets that can be moved into different formations based on need. Want to watch a movie? The seats can be swung around to face a 52-inch screen. Riding along with some business associates? A table can be popped up. There's even a configuration for tailgating.
The materials are, unsurprisingly, pretty plush. The leather seats and wood floors (yes, wood floors in a van) look great, while the trunk and its customized luggage are a nice touch, as well.
