Car is ALL STEEL no fiberglass anywhere; it is completely uncut with the exception of a small cut in the firewall to make room for the distributor. The top is not chopped and the car has never been butchered or cut on. No bondo or rust anywhere on the body, I have gone completely around the car with a magnet. Paint is custom Satin Black with Pinstripping like the old school hot rods and it really sets the car off. Vinyl top was recently redone and looks like new. Powertrain is a fresh GM Crate 350 with all the goodies and chrome kit, backed to a Turbo 350, Chrome driveshaft and and a full Chrome 9” rear with 3:23 gear ratio equipped with a posi unit finish the car off. Car runs very well and starts with just a bump of the key. Exhaust consists of headers with glass packs for that deep hot rod sound. Suspension and Steering consists of a dropped I beam front axle with chrome 4 bar, chrome shocks on all 4 corners, vega steering box, converted to disc brakes up front with chrome master cylinder, drum in back with power assist, car stops very well. Stock Model A frame boxed in front for extra safety, rear chrome ladder bar set up, car rides very nice and doesn’t have any rattles or weird vibrations. Interior is all redone with nice Leather seats, custom headliner, new carpet, custom door panels, overhead unit with new Pioneer radio with MP3/USB hookup, all gauges work including amps, gas, oil, temp, speedo, turnsignals and lights all work as they should. All the chrome and stainless are in excellent shape and have been recently polished. Wheels are centerlines with bullet lug nuts and caps to give it that old school hot rod look. Mysterious small Ford spied in Germany

Sat, 29 Jun 2013

Our spy photographers have just popped off a few shots of something curious. This little runabout was spotted in Germany out testing with a current-generation Ford Fiesta. We're fairly confident the machine is a Ford, but exactly which Ford model is up for debate. The hatchback could be the next-generation Ka, but we've also heard that the Blue Oval supermini might not get a replacement. Our shooter says the five-door is a bit smaller than the current Fiesta, though there is a chance that this rig is just an engineering mule for drivetrain development. Then again, it could be a model built specifically for the South African market or China, or not a Ford at all.
Whatever it is and wherever it's headed, you can check out in the gallery for a closer look before heading into Comments to weigh in with your best guess.

FBI investigating recently fired Ford engineer for espionage

Fri, 25 Jul 2014

Agents of the FBI are investigating a potential case of industrial espionage involving a recently fired Ford employee. The Dearborn, MI-based manufacturer had its world headquarters searched by FBI agents on July 11, and according to The Detroit News, had warrants to seize recording devices handed over to Ford by Sharon Leach, a now-former Ford engineer.
Leach, who had spent 17 years with the Blue Oval, was fired last month, after Ford Security relieved her of eight Sansa listening devices. The FBI got involved shortly after her dismissal, searching her home on June 20 and seizing some two dozen items, including computers, jump drives and financial records, according to warrants obtained by The News.
Ford has remained quiet on the matter, with spokeswoman Susan Krusel confirming that the automaker was working with the FBI as part of a "joint investigation," while declining to provide any additional details.

Ford evaluating new Fiesta RS?

Wed, 08 Jan 2014

Word coming in from across the pond has it that Ford is working on developing the business case to create a new Fiesta RS. The development is encouraged by the extremely positive reception the existing Fiesta ST has garnered to date, and the emergence of the above-pictured Fiesta RS WRC rally car, but it'll take more than goodwill to make a more extreme version a reality.
According to Auto Express, a new roadgoing Fiesta RS would almost certainly be based closely on the ST version, albeit with some vital differences. Its 1.6-liter turbo four would be increased from 180 horsepower to somewhere around 230 hp, and that powertrain would be accompanied by lightweight alloys inside blistered wheel arches, a stripped-out interior and possibly lightweight bodywork.
The vehicle's approval would reportedly require a strong business case in Europe, and not just in the UK where Ford hot hatches traditionally enjoy a strong following. It's unclear whether the Fiesta RS would potentially make the transatlantic voyage to American showrooms, but between it and the larger Focus RS, hopefully the Blue Oval wouldn't leave its home market out of the action altogether.
