THE CAR WAS IN STORAGE FOR THE PAST 15 YEARS. I HAD THE RADIATOR FLUSHED AND ALL OF THE COOLANT HOSES REPLACED, TUNED THE CAR UP AND REPLACED THE TIMING BELT. BOTH FRONT CALIPERS ARE NEW ALONG WITH THE FRONT PADS. THE CAR RUNS GREAT. THE INTERIOR IS IN GREAT SHAPE BUT THE CARPET COULD BE REPLACED. THE REAR RUMBLE SEAT IS IN GREAT SHAPE AS WELL. THE BODY IS IN NICE SHAPE I DONT SEE ANY CRACKS, JUST SOME SCRATCHES AND NICKS WHICH I THINK A GOOD BUFF JOB WOULD TAKE CARE OF. THE BUMPERS AND WHEEL SPOKES HAVE SOME RUSTY SPOTS AND PITTING BUT SHOULD CLEAN UP REALLY NICE WITH SOME STEEL WOOL. THE TOP IS IN NICE SHAPE WITH NO TEARS OR RIPS AND THE BACK WINDOW IS IN NICE SHAPE AS WELL. IT COMES WITH THE SIDE CURTAIN WINDOWS WHICH LOOK LIKE THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN USED AND IT ALSO HAS THE STRAP-ON TRUNK. AFTER ALL THAT BEING SAID THE CAR REALLY IS IN NICE SHAPE CONCIDERING THE AGE AND CAN BE A GREAT CAR WITH VERY LITTLE TLC...THIS WOULD BE GREAT FOR THOSE CRUISE NIGHTS...CAR SHOWS..AND PARADES

Ford to build next F-150, outgoing model concurrently?
Wed, 24 Jul 2013Ford is rumored to be considering concurrent production for old and new F-150 models in a bid to minimize supply chain disruptions and inventory. Automotive News is reporting that the Blue Oval will build both the current F-150 and its replacement, which we showed you testing just last month, side by side for about half a year before switching over entirely to next-generation production.
As IHS Automotive analyst Mike Jackson told AN, "In order to ramp up, you have to retool...and that means you have to take capacity offline." Building both models alongside could allow Ford to cope with the still strong demand for the current F-150, while populating dealer supplies and working out supply chain kinks for the new model before making a full-time switch.
A loss of capacity when demand is so strong, even for a short period, could spell bad news for Ford, which nets an estimated 90 percent of its global profit on pickups and large SUVs. As AN states, Ford produces the F-150 in both Kansas City, Missouri and Dearborn, Michigan, which allows it to maintain some degree of flexibility in production. The new F-150 is expected to arrive at the 2014 North American International Auto Show as a 2015 model, with a design inspired by the Atlas Concept first shown at the Detroit Auto Show last January.
Inside Ford's high-tech climate chamber
Sat, Dec 27 2014There are two ways an automaker can test its vehicles in extreme climates: it can send said vehicle around the world – from Death Valley to the Arctic Circle – in search of the harshest weather, or it can recreate those conditions in an enclosed environment. We're sure that many automakers undertake some combination of both, but in this latest video clip, Ford shows us around inside it's state-of-the-art climate chamber. At its Driveability Test Facility in Allen Park, MI – inaugurated in 2010 just across the street from the Roush Technology Center – Ford can simulate all sorts of extreme conditions. It can drop the temperature down to -40 degrees Fahrenheit or raise it up to 130, and take it up to a simulated 12,000 feet above sea level or drop it down to 280 feet below. blast it with 150-mile-per-hour winds. It can control the level of humidity, approximate the intensity of the sun and even blast the test vehicle with artificial snow, just like your favorite ski resort. The facility strikes us as an engineering feat as impressive as some of the vehicles it's used to test, but don't take our word for it – scope it out for yourself in this brief two-minute video clip, which even includes some helpful tips for winter driving this holiday season and beyond. 2013 Ford F-150 Limited
Mon, 28 Jan 2013The Ford F-150 received yet another new model for the 2013 model year, the Limited trim, bringing the ways you can order this country's most popular vehicle to a grand total of 10. There really is an F-150 to suit any need now, and the Limited variant slots in at the very top of the range, above the already pampering Platinum model.
While normally I would admit that I'm the least-appropriate person to test a pickup, the fact that this particular trim places a much higher premium on luxury than anything with a bed and Blue Oval badge before it means that I don't need the workman chops of a skilled tradesman to judge how well this truck meets its true aim.
