I have just recently taken my '29 Ford out of a 3 year storage. It turns over fine but has no spark. At the time I parked it, it was running. I put an additive in the gas tank, removed the battery, and it sat in my heated garage until yesterday. I have owned this truck for 10 years. Before that a friend owned it for 18 years. My friend told me when he bought it that the motor had just been rebuilt and the body work had just been completed and painted. I do not have any documentation on any repairs.
The interior, vinyl top, bed of the truck and the body of the cab is in good shape. The passenger door has a rough spot near the bottom, from an amateur body man. The four fenders are rough, no rust but probably some body filler before it was painted approx. 30 years ago. The hood has some paint chipping where it swivels when opening and a couple of minor dings. The running boards are in good shape. The windshield opens and closes as it should.
When the truck was running it idled fine and didn't smoke. The transmission shifted ok but worked perfectly if you double clutched it when you downshifted.
The truck has always been stored in a heated garage, the tires were new about 5 years ago, they now have about 200 miles on them.
The lights all work, the horn works, the only gauge that doesn't work is the gas gauge.
There is a small leak in the radiator, not sure where, but every once in awhile it would leak.
I have tried to describe this truck as well as possible, a reserve has been set and it is being sold "as is"with no warranty. A $ 500.00 non-refundable deposit is required with-in 24 hours of winning this bid
to be paid thru Paypal. and the remainder to be paid within 7 days. All money will clear the bank before releasing the vehicle.
Shipping of the vehicle is the buyers responsibility, I can help with the loading, and I can provide storage of the vehicle for up to 30 days after the sale.
I am located in N.W. Michigan, if you wish to see the truck or have any questions after looking at the pictures, just e-mail me.

Jay Leno drives postcard-perfect '32 Ford Highboy Roadster
Mon, 25 Aug 2014At the turn of the century, it was arguably the Honda Civic that best defined inexpensive performance tuning, and in the '50s it was the Tri-5 Chevys. One of the earliest platforms to gain a huge following among young people looking for a cheap way to go fast was the classic '32 Ford Highboy Roadster. This week, Jay Leno's Garage looks at one of the very first vehicles that defined the look of the hot rod heyday.
This '32 Ford was built in the '40s and graced the cover of the fourth issue of Hot Rod Magazine back in 1948. All of the hot rods that you see shining at car shows today owe a serious debt of gratitude to this roadster. It bears all of the cues that define the look, including a notched frame and hidden door hinges. Under the three-piece hood is a flathead V8 boasting all sorts of period modifications, including copper cylinder heads. It was seriously fast in its era too, and proved it by reaching 112.21 miles per hour on a dry lakebed in 1947.
These days, this hot rod is on display at the Petersen Automotive Museum. Although, if you can't make it to California to see it, the United States Postal Service is celebrating this Ford with one of its two hot rod Forever stamps. Like Jay says in the video, in terms of hot rodding, "it all comes back to this." Check out the video to learn more about this rolling piece of tuning history.
Top Gear's latest trailer shows off a golden Bugatti Chiron
Thu, Feb 23 2017Top Gear is returning on March 5, and after a lackluster first series with the new hosts, the new group seems determined not to hit a sophomore slump. Chris Evans is gone, and the latest teaser trailer shows the new trio of Matt LeBlanc, Chris Harris, and Rory Reid strapped into some pretty fantastic cars, including the Bugatti Chiron and the Ford GT. All of the typical Top Gear segments appear to be present, though the quick cuts don't give us many details. The trailer shows a copious amount of powerslides from an assortment of cars, and even Chris Harris racing around Daytona. Aside from the Bugatti and Ford, cars from Porsche, Lamborghini, Ferrari, BMW, Aston Martin, and Alfa Romeo are all present. Co-hosts Eddie Jordan and Sabine Schmitz don't appear at all, so it seems their roles may be downplayed to focus on three guys, as was the case pre-reboot. We have some hope for this re-relaunched show and will be keeping an eye out for more details in the lead-up to the series premiere. Ford tops mid-year ranking of brands in the US
Thu, 18 Jul 2013YouGov's mid-year Brand Index rankings of America's best perceived brands has been released, and Ford has found its way to the top. The Dearborn, Michigan based manufacturer beat out online shopping giant Amazon, The History Channel, and home improvement superstore Lowe's, to take the top spot.
Ford jumped from sixth overall in 2012 to first for 2013, but those that have been watching these rankings shouldn't be hugely surprised. Ford was rated the best perceived automotive manufacturer by the same organization last year. The Blue Oval's success on the overall brand rankings is made all the more impressive by the complete lack of other automakers on the list.
YouGov (that is, survey respondents) cited Ford's first quarter of 2013 business, which saw an increase in market share and the best earnings recorded in over 10 years. Successfully launching the Focus and Fusion (pictured) and keeping them fresh in the minds of consumers has also contributed to Ford's best overall score.
