DESCRIPTION
By 1929 Henry Ford’s “black only color chart” had vanished from production and a customer could now choose from a variety of hues and combinations. The list of standard equipment grew for 1929 and included such innovations as a combination tail lamp and brake light, windshield wiper, chromed front and rear bumpers, and the front mounted Spartan horn with its famous sound. Among the most elusive and desirable Model A bodies is the Phaeton, a four door, five passenger convertible with all the style and flare of the much larger, and more expensive cars of the time. Only a handful of original Phaetons have come to market in recent years, as most are coveted pieces of collections worldwide.
We are pleased to present this wonderfully restored 1929 Ford Model A Phaeton. Finished in a stunning color combination of Dark Rose Beige body with Brown accents and Orange pinstripes, which complement the always Black fenders. The top and side curtains are the correct Black grained vinyl and set off the Dark Charcoal and Black interior, also in the correct grained vinyl. The Top, Side Curtains, and full interior are LeBaron Bonney products! LeBaron Bonney has been long known as the finest in early Ford upholstery products, and has been featured on more show winning vehicles than any other manufacturer since 1960!
Other notable features of this stunning Model A are: full side curtains and storage bag, wide white wall tires, stainless steel beauty rings, chrome radiator stone guard, rear mounted spare tire with cover and accessory chrome wheel lock, Ford Quail Radiator Mascot, Wind wings, correct radiator hoses and clamps, correct ignition system and spark plugs and more. An amazing restoration was performed on this rare Model A, bringing it to a level Henry Ford could have only dreamed of! Although it appears to have been done several years ago it still presents itself well and would be a great addition to any collection. The under carriage was detailed in body color and gloss black, the interior and top fitment is amazing, and the ride and drive quality is of the finest we have had the pleasure of offering! Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions about this or any other of our fine automobiles. As always international world wide shipping is available and we would be happy to assist in arranging transport if necessary.
