1928 Ford model A sport coupe (50-A)

Here is your opportunity to own a fine piece of automotive history...
From the little information of gathered on this little ole Ford, it had been restored in the late 2000's and still is a very nice driver!!! it's definitely not concourse but an excellent platform for a complete ground up restoration into a concoarse car...   The restoration included a LeBaron Bonney interior and top, fabric rumble seat and body repainting using green color and black fenders. The sport coupe is authentic including the early 1928 red steering wheel, nickel plating of the radiator shell and headlights.  The engine & transmission is original as the rest of it's body panels, wheels, etc.... Mileage sates 392 but of coarse NOT accurate... A brand new Cartouche top & headliner has been ordered & will be installed before going to new home... It runs & drives as it should... Engine is strong & transmission shifts smoothly... Glass, interior, gauges, moldings, handles, white wall tires are all in good condition... It's missing absolutley no parts she is ALL there!!!

Please feel free to contact me at 786-683-1809 with any questions...

Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang is a track-day weapon with 500 hp

Mon, 17 Nov 2014

Ford promises more than 500 horsepower and a torque peak above 400 lb-ft.
The wait is finally over. After months of spy shots, rumor and innuendo, Ford has officially pulled the wraps off its new Shelby GT350. Judging by the spec sheet and the promises being made - especially that the Shelby GT350 will be "an all-day track car that's also street legal" - the wait appears to have been worth it.

Amazon looking to bring Kindle to your next car?

Mon, 25 Feb 2013

Maybe so. The online retailer and digital media monolith recently announced the Amazon Cloud Player, an application for Ford Sync that allows users to stream media from their Amazon Cloud account directly to a Ford vehicle. This foray into automotive technology got the minds at Gigaom.com thinking about what could be next for Amazon. As Kevin Fitchard writes, the logical step is to make audio versions of your Kindle library selections available in your car. As he points out, Amazon has already laid the groundwork for such a move.
Amazon pulled the sheets back on Whispersync for Voice last year. The tech pairs ebooks with an Audible book for a small extra fee, allowing users to either read along with a narrator or switch between audio and text versions on command. Fitchard says it wouldn't be some great leap to apply the same principles to a car, where voice recognition software would allow users to pause or select chapters without ever taking their eyes off of the road.
It all sounds just fine to us, but Amazon hasn't said a thing about such a move. Still, we wouldn't be surprised to see the company come down this road in the near future just the same.

Ford recalls select Explorer, E-Series vans

Tue, 21 Jan 2014

Just a few days ago we brought you news that Ford had issued a recall on 28,000 units of the Edge crossover for problems related to the fuel line. But now the Blue Oval has issued recall notices on two more of its larger vehicles.
The first relates to the Explorer, 395 examples of which from the 2011 and 2012 model years were found to have problems with their steering systems if they underwent service after September 1, 2013. An apparent software glitch could lock the steering gear, preventing the driver from steering the vehicle and thereby increasing the risk of a crash. As a result, Ford dealers are being instructed to check their records to identify the problematic vehicles and bring them in to have the steering gear replaced. Details of the recall can be found in the PDF linked here.
The second problem revolves around E-Series vans that may develop bubbles in their windshields under hot temperatures. The decrease in visibility through the problematic windshield could - you guessed it - "increase the risk of a crash." As a result, Ford is calling in 4,532 units of the E-150, E-250, E-350 and E-450 vans built in the relatively short window between May 12 and May 26, 2011. Details of this recall can be found in the notice below from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
