Hello, Up for auction is one 1928 Ford Pickup. The truck is equipped with a 350 Chevrolet engine and a 350 Turbo automatic transmission, Ford rear. It's a crate engine, aluminum heads, intake, Carter carb, headers, aluminum pulleys, chrome alternator, newly installed mini racing starter. Sounds great, very powerful for the little truck as well. Truck has fiberglass fenders, wooden cab and bed, steel running boards and hood. Truck was professionally built, the underneath is as nice as the exterior, chrome shocks, etc.Truck has dual gas tanks one on each side, switchable inside, all gauges work properly, nice stereo system with electric antenna mounted in bed. Truck has no heat or air. Truck has pop out windshield as well. I don't know alot about it, I bought it about 4 months ago, I played with it, it's very fun to drive, I've got too many toys so here goes one. mileage is correct to the restoration. It has a few minor paint chips where the hood latches down, and one scratch about 4 inches long on the top of the tailgate. It has a clear Virginia title that states "1928 Ford Recon Pickup" . I have a matching pair of 1928 Virginia license plates that are registered to the truck. They were professionally restored as well. $500 deposit in 24 hours of end of auction thru Paypal, balance in cash within 7 days of end of auction. Truck is sold with no warranty. This is a beautiful truck, show quality, very quick as well. I took all these pictures today. Buyer to arrange all shipping, or pick up would be great, truck doesn't leave until funds are clear. Thanks for looking, Jerry

Celebrations and commemorations have been scheduled throughout the year, and not the least of them is the latest exhibit at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. Called "Mustangs Forever: 50 Years of a Legend", the exhibit includes Mustangs from every generation of the iconic pony car, including the 1965 convertible Ronald Reagan drove during his California gubernatorial campaign, a 1971 Mach 1 Cobra Jet, a 1974 Mustang II, 1993 SVT Cobra, 2000 Cobra R and a 2006 Shelby GT-H. Special sections focus on motorsports, aftermarket modifiers and limited-edition models. The display opened on Sunday with the Mustang Madness spectacular and will run for the next six months, but if you're not heading to Southern California within the coming half-year then you can scope out all the action in our live gallery of photos above.

Ford to auction Mustang Cobra Jet prototype for charity [w/video]
Mon, 16 Sep 2013Prototypes developed by major automakers typically remain in said company's custody, but every once in a while, one trickles out into private hands. And that's just what we have here. Ford is donating a one-of-a-kind factory prototype for the 2014 Mustang Cobra Jet that will be auctioned off later this month by Barrett-Jackson in Las Vegas to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Powered by a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 mated to a T4 competition gearbox, this rare Cobra Jet prototype includes a wheelie bar, chromoly roll cage, Weld wheels, three-link rear suspension, racing brakes, 9-inch rear axle and more. It's painted in a unique satin orange with reflective gray striping scheme, bears the serial number 2014 BJMS CJXX1 and is fully ready for NHRA competition on the drag strip.
To be offered with no reserve on Saturday, September 28, 2013, the Cobra Jet prototype's winning bidder will also receive tutelage at Roy Hill's Drag Racing School in Sophia, NC, along with tours of the Ford Product Development Center, Ford Racing headquarters and Ford Design Studios with Mustang chief engineer Dave Pericak. Scope out the video and details below for what could be the ultimate Mustang experience for a good cause.
