Here is a good project for someone looking for a convertible. Its a 1968 Galaxy XL Convertible that will need total restoration. I took it on trade and have no time to do the car. It can be used to restore or parts. Its very complete but not totally. As u can see in the pics, it has its share of rust. Frame has rusted areas that will need attention or replaced. the body is fairly decent with past bodywork done to it. I do have the front bumper but it will need a better one. The quarters have been patched, the doors are very decent but will need a little work but usable, the fenders are nice and will also need very minor work. Has very rare hide away headlights that im told work perfect when the car is running. The deck lid has been redone but the previous owner when they started the restoration. The hood is very nice. Most of the trim is on the car. All the glass is there and good. Windshield has a couple stone chips but no cracks. It has the XL interior with the exception of the front seats that have been replaced. The interior will also need to be restored and does include the original center console that is in surprisingly good shape. looks like the shifter handle is wrong. I have not tried to start it, but was told that it starts, moves, and stops but has a miss in the motor. I did how ever put a battery in it and many things powered up and worked, including the headlights, taillights, blinkers, radio (aftermarket), and of course the power top which went down and back up smoothly with no problem. It will need a new top installed. The brake pedal is firm and appears to have good brakes as i was told. Its a 390 2V with an automatic transmission that appears to be original and all there. Surprisingly also, the floors and trunk floor are in very nice shape and dont appear to need replaced. The tires hold air but sorry i dont have the hubcaps. That being said, keep in mind that i would like to sell it as a project and have listed it as such. Im located in Michigan in the "thumb" region and would be happy to help with transporting within a reasonable distance. I ma including my number to be able to best answer all question personally rather than trying to describe things thru email. I am listing it with NO RESERVE so u have a chance to win it very cheap. Thanks for looking at my car and happy bidding. 989-670-2700 call or text.

James Franco and tiger tease Ford Super Bowl commercial
Sat, 01 Feb 2014Ford has just released a teaser for its Super Bowl ad, and unlike just about every other automaker, it seems that the Blue Oval is going to make us wait until Sunday to see the full spot. The teaser is, um, strange.
It stars James Franco, who believes he is Ron Riggle, the comedian, Fox NFL Sunday host and retired Marine lieutenant colonel. There's also a tiger. The vague spot has Franco claiming that "this is no ordinary commercial." You'll note on the bottom right, there's a Ford logo and the hashtag #nearlydouble.
According to Automotive News, it's part of a massive viral effort being pushed forward by Ford and its dealerships. Ford sent different teasers and "vignettes" to dealership employees and asked them to share them on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, in the hopes of creating a viral effect.

Vaughn Gittin Jr. takes his dog for a drift
Tue, 09 Sep 2014
Vaughn Gittin Jr. spends a great deal of his workday going sideways, but he's usually alone in the endeavor. For a guy that is clearly a dog lover, we imagine that can get a bit lonely.
That won't be a problem for Gittin in this latest video, which features the racer hanging out with his good pal Brody (a dog) and everyone's favorite hot hatch, the Ford Fiesta ST.
