Up for sale is a fabulous 1963 Galaxie 500! We acquired this car on trade a few months ago and I have been driving it daily (weather permitting) since. I am a die hard Chevy guy but this is by far one of the sweetest Fords I have ever set in. This car hits the road incredible!! This is absolutely a must drive car!! It is smooth tight and a 110% dependable. This Galaxie is ready to drive show and enjoy. It also has the owners manual and original window sticker.

This car has one of the best  most solid rust free bodies you will ever encounter on any classic car! I was told this car has all of its original sheet metal and best I can tell that's correct! The body is straight as a guitar string and all body lines and gaps are as good as any. The doors open/shut absolutely amazing with a nice solid sound.

This car has been repainted in its original color of Raven black. It was finished aprox 15 years ago and has been garage kept and driven very little since its completion. The paint is extremely nice and slick with a high quality shine. It still shows extremely well but has what I consider to be normal wear that is to be expected from any 15 year old paint. I would rate it an 8.5 on a scale of 1 to 10.

All of the glass appears to be original and looks awesome. For its age is the best I have ever seen! The chrome stainless etc also still shows extremely well. It is set apart from the rest with an original set of old school torque thrust d style American racing wheels with new tires.

The interior is believed to be mostly original. The door panels show some wear, but that is to be expected tor their age.It shows very well and is all correct right down to the factory 4 speed shifter!!

Everything on this car works properly except for the clock, factory radio and reverse lights.

This is the kind of car you don't mind putting up and keeping and it can be driven anywhere!!

If you find anything you don't like about this car when you get here upon your inspection you will NOT be obligated to purchase!! I can't display any more confidence than that!

I am licensed and bonded Virginia dealer. We welcome ALL serious buyers World wide!!

We reserve the right to end this listing at any time for any reason as this car is for sale locally.

Ford investing $500M in engine plant for 2.7L EcoBoost production

Sun, 30 Mar 2014

Ohio is a hot area for Ford at the moment with the announcement just a few weeks ago that production of the next-generation F-650/F-750 medium-duty trucks would move from Mexico to the Ohio Assembly Plant in Avon Lake, Ohio. Now, Ford is investing $500 million to hire 300 workers at its Lima Engine Plant in Lima, Ohio, to add production of the twin-turbo 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 for the 2015 F-150.
The latest investment will be used to add a new flexible engine assembly system and renovate 700,000 square feet of the plant for machining and assembly areas. The Lima factory already builds Ford's 3.5-liter and 3.7-liter Duratec V6 engines. The plant opened in 1957, and it's on track to build its 40 millionth engine later this year.
Ford claims that the 2.7-liter EcoBoost will offer V8 performance with better efficiency in the F-150. It comes standard with intelligent stop/start that doesn't activate when the truck is towing or in four-wheel drive, and it's made from a combination of compacted graphite iron and aluminum for low weight and high strength. The company says that V6 engines have already proven popular in the F-150 with 57 percent of trucks in 2014 being equipped with either the naturally aspirated 3.7-liter or turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost engines.

Ex-GM VP LaNeve takes over Lincoln ad agency

Wed, 10 Apr 2013

Those of you that caught yesterday's op-ed about Lincoln will have heard already, but Mark LaNeve has taken the helm at Team Detroit. Once the North American vice president of sales, service and marketing for General Motors, LaNeve will now head up the agency that handles all of Ford advertising. LaNeve will also run the account for Lincoln. While at GM from 2001 to 2009, the exec oversaw ad campaigns like Cadillac's Breakthrough and sales initiatives like "Employee Pricing for Everyone."
He left in 2009 to join Allstate as chief marketing officer, oversaw the creation of the Mayhem ad spots and was moved into the role of VP of agency operations overseeing Allstate's 10,000 agents. He resigned from the insurer in February 2012 for personal reasons and joined Team Detroit in August 2012 as chief operating officer, in charge of satellite offices in New York and internationally. He replaces ex-CEO Cameron McNaughton, and will continue to hold the title of COO.
Lincoln is trying to get its 2013 back to rights after putting big dollar commercials for the 2013 MKZ on television then having production glitches preventing cars from getting to dealerships. With rumors of a relaunch in the works, it's no surprise LaNeve has been given the reins - and from here it looks like the brand is desperate for the kind of magic he's proved he can marshal. Perhaps he can start by calling a mulligan on the renaming exercise that gave us the hoary "Lincoln Motor Company" and go back to oh, say, "Lincoln." Then he can ask the product folks to get to work on the MKC concept...
