1969 Ford Country Sedan Stationwagon. 390 Big Block Ford FE 2bbl Motor and C6 Automatic Transmission. Runs strong and shifts smooth. The odometer shows 35,108.  This is the full size Ford based on the Galaxie or LTD platform. I have the full Marti Report on this car.  It has A/C, original factory AM-FM Stereo, Power Steering, Power Brakes with Disc in the front, and Power Rear Tailgate Window. The A/C needs to be recharged and the Power Rear Window is not working currently. The Tailgate is the dual opening style. It opens to the side like a door, or down like a truck tailgate. This particular car was not ordered with the 3rd Row Seat. The Country Sedan was the model just below the Country Squire. The only difference being that the Country Sedan did not have the 'Wood Panel' sides. Everything is original on this car except for a repaint of the original Blue years ago. The interior is blue and all original. The door panels are in great shape, however the dash pad is cracked, and the front seat has a few seem rips.

The frame is perfect. The car has had a ton of mechanical work done already.

Brakes and Brakes lines
Master Cylinder
Fuel line
Starter and Selenoid
Carb rebuild
Plug Wires and Cap
New Pertronix Electronic Ignition Module, (eliminates the points in the distributor)
New Exhaust Manifolds
Top End of the Motor rebuilt including Reconditioning the Heads and Re-gasketing everything, (head gaskets, intake gaskets, exhaust manifold gaskets, carb gaskets, valve cover gaskets)

The gas tank has a few pin holes in it so I currently have it running off a 2 gallon gas can. I've already had the tank out, it can be removed in less than 10 minutes. I did find a place in PA who will completely refurbish the tank

As for the body, there is some rust. The rust is in the typical areas, rear quarters, spare tire well, rear storage area floor, (where the 3rd seat would normally mount), the front edge of the hood, and the tailgate skin.

All in all, the car is 100% complete. All of the trim is intact, the factory tinted glass is all perfect. With a gas tank repair this car can be rolling down the road.

Ford, GM to collaborate on 9- and 10-speed transmissions

Mon, 15 Apr 2013

Back in October, there were reports that General Motors and Ford Motor Company were hard at work co-developing new nine- and ten-speed automatic transmissions, and now both automakers have confirmed this joint operation. While there are no specific vehicles mentioned to receive either transmission, a collaborative press release issued by GM and Ford mention that the transmission will be designed for front- and rear-wheel-drive cars, crossovers, trucks and SUVs.
These aren't the first powertrain components developed jointly between these cross-town rivals, either. The six-speed automatic currently used in vehicles like the Ford Edge, Ford Fusion, Chevrolet Cruze and Chevrolet Equinox was engineered in a similar fashion. As is the case with this existing transmission, both automakers will assist in the design, development and testing of the new transmissions, but each will build its own units in its own factories. Scroll down for the official press release.

Ford readying 2015 F-150 drift truck for SEMA

Sun, 19 Oct 2014

Between the Mustangs you'd find in Formula D and the Fiestas in the Global and World rallycross championships, there's no shortage of Ford drift cars on the scene. But at the upcoming SEMA Show in Las Vegas, the Blue Oval automaker intends to show off a different kind of drift machine.
Created in collaboration with driftmeister Vaughn Gittin, Jr., this custom F-150 has been designed for "on- and off-road capabilities, as well as drifting and jumping." It's got a suspension with components from Kibbetech King and Air Lift Performance to give it 12 inches of travel and comes packed with 5 Recaro seats. Other details remain limited, but if the rendering above is anything to go by, it ought to be pretty awesome.
Alongside the Gittin truck, Ford will also be showcasing another F-150 designed together with freestyle motorcross rider Brian Deegan, packing the 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine and a long list of enhancements. Between these two trucks, Ford hopes to extend its winning streak for the Hottest Truck award that it's taken four years running now. Feel free to read more in the press release below.

Ford to rebrand SVT as 999?

Mon, 22 Sep 2014

Ford operates a number of performance divisions around the world. There's SVT in the US, Team RS in Europe and Ford Performance Vehicles (FPV) in Australia. But the Blue Oval has been steadily integrating its performance operations into one unit, and here we might have our first indication of what it will be called.
A reader at Jalopnik sent in a survey in which respondents were asked to gauge the name for a new performance brand from a "major automotive manufacturer," and while the identity of that automaker was not disclosed, according to the survey, the automaker is considering the name 999 for its new go-fast unit.
As our compatriots point out, the 999 was Ford's first racecar, a rudimentary chassis with a 19-liter inline-four campaigned by Henry Ford around the turn of the 20th century. (Ford also used the number to designate a Fusion fuel-cell racer a few years back.) That could prove the tie-in Dearborn is looking for in rebranding its performance operations worldwide, replacing the letters SVT, RS and FPV globally under one name.
