Just a nice rust free Galaxie 500 - I had brought back in ametuer restoration for a buddy who ended up with my 64 instead !

I collected Galaxies and will be selling 2x 1962 galaxie 500 Club Victoria's 1 1963.5 390 Tbird special Fast back year 1 1 owner, and a all white 64 thunderbird special 4 door with bucket seats.

Title is a clear survivorship title. Car runs and drives. I drove it yesterday and would say that although it fired up and ran fine there are things that need attention.
It had a fuel cell so I removed and bought new tank, lines, filler neck etc etc the gauge should be adjusted it read 1/8 a tank to high.
Power steering needs fluid (I'll check and fill today)
Comes with the welded in trailer hitch for the canned ham trailers grab your airstream 66 you Galaxie 66 camper special and really hit route 66!!

Although the AC blew cold when I put it up last winter assume it will need a charge, it blew cold yesterday but i was in the garage when using it.

The dash is blistered from sun but it comes with a brand new one in the bax (never got around to replacing.
I pulled all the rugs and (it needs carpet) the only rust I found was in the rear trunk and minor but I did take a pic.

Front seat has a split seam so should be recovered. theres a couple of misc inside trim pieces that need changing the usual stuff.
Also I have all the extra 500 trim spears and G-A-L-A-X-I-E trim (we covered holes on re-paint) You can re-opened them and install.

I took video's of car running and walk around will send on request.

What else... Since the car was in a barn for 20 years the mileage might just be correct at 36,591 under the car it looks clean as well. Howvere to keep all people honest assume its spun around and get lucky if it hasn't
its a good solid car and a 5 outta a 10.

Ford Focus Electric gets $6,000 price drop, now starts at $29,995

Mon, Oct 20 2014

In early 2013, the Nissan Leaf shed a massive $6,500 from its $35,200 base price to offer a new starting price of $28,800. Since then, we have seen numerous other plug-in vehicles get smaller price tags, from the Honda Fit EV (lower lease price) to the Chevrolet Volt (around $5,000 lower) to the Mitsubishi i (a $6,130 drop). Last year, Ford lowered the $39,200 price of the Focus Electric by around $4,000, but that hasn't been enough to get the Ford EV to really compete, saleswise, with other plug-in vehicles on the market. But wait, as they say, there's more. This past weekend, Ford lopped another $6,000 from the price of both the 2014 model year Focus EVs currently on dealer lots as well as the redesigned 2015 models that are now rolling out (they're basically the same car, minus some appearance changes). Ford spokesman Aaron Miller confirmed to AutoblogGreen that the Focus EV will now start at $29,995 and said that reducing the price should make the Blue Oval's only pure EV competitive. "We hope by reducing the price we're giving consumers another reason to consider it," he said. Through the end of September 2014, Ford has sold just 1,534 Focus EVs in the US (the model sold 1,335 in the first nine months of 2013). For comparison's sake, the Nissan Leaf starts at $29,010 and sells around 3,000 units a month in the US. Miller notes that the Focus EV has been selling the best on the West Coast, and is also doing well on the East Coast. After that, he said Atlanta and the Great Lakes area also see decent sales of model's admittedly small pie. We can only assume that offering the EV for under $30,000 will make that pie somewhat bigger.

How the Ram Multifunction Tailgate compares to Ford, GMC, Honda

Wed, Feb 6 2019

Ram just announced its Multifunction Tailgate — a descriptive if not very creative name. It's an asymmetrical barn-door arrangement, which can both fold down like a conventional tailgate or swing open like a gate. There's a new bed step, but unlike Ford or GM, the step isn't part of the tailgate itself. Rather, it kicks out from under the bumper (as opposed to out from under the driver's side of the rear bumper in its previous incarnation). So let's just focus on the tailgate functionality. A video of the Ram Multifunction Tailgate in action is above. For one, either of the swinging tailgate sections can be opened independently. They open to a full 88 degrees. In conventional flip-down mode, the tailgate works just like a normal one, too, with a 2,000-pound rating. The bottom line is that while it gives a variety of types of access to the load area, it doesn't "do" anything else. It's a $995 option on any Ram 1500. Its closest analogue is the Honda Ridgeline, which works basically the same way, but on that truck the tailgate swings as one piece. And the Honda's load rating isn't as hefty as the Ram's tailgate: 300 pounds. As Honda says, that's sufficient to hold the weight of the part of an ATV hanging out of the bed, or something similar, but it's a lighter-duty unit (and a lighter-duty truck) than the Ram's overall. Let's also get Ford's one-trick tailgate out of the way before comparing to the more analogous, and complicated, GM MultiPro. A bit of trivia: Ford's optional Tailgate Step is actually designed and supplied by Multimatic, better known as the outfit that builds the Ford GT and produces the DSSV spool-valve shocks. This step has been available for years. It pulls out of the top edge of the tailgate when the tailgate is lowered, deploying a single step. A separate handle pulls out from beside the step and flips up, giving a handhold. While it was initially (and infamously) mocked by competitors, with load floor heights as high as they are it's better than toting around a stepstool. It's currently a $375 standalone option. Now we get to the GMC MultiPro tailgate, the most complicated and multi-functioned around. It's essentially a tailgate within a tailgate, with a fold-out stopper that deploys from the inner tailgate. This gives it several functions depending on the position of all the parts. It can still be used like a normal tailgate, dropping down at the push of a button or using the key fob.
