Up for sale today is an excellent Galaxie 500 2 door. This is the most popular year for the Galaxie. This car has been well taken car of by the owner. If you are looking for a hot rod you can drive and NOT fix daily this car is it. The car was repainted in 2009 using the original Arcadian blue. There are a few little scratches and the paint is considered driver quality. There was 13 hundred dollars worth of brake work done and they work perfect. Car has new suspension springs and shocks all the way around with upgraded coil overs in the rear. There are new rubber bushings in the Front sway Bar. It has a solid ford 9" Read End. The rear end in these cars is actually factory Tri-Link so there is no need to upgrade the suspension. They were a definite race contender back in the day. The radiator was pulled and cleaned with all new hoses installed. Newer drive belts are in excellent condition. This car was upgraded to a set of Hooker Headers with dual flowmaster exhaust. The engine is not a little 289 but the 6.4 liter 390 Big Block backed by a MX Hydromatic transmission. If you want to make easy big power this is where its at. At stock they are about 300 Horsepower and if you add a Cam, Intake and Carb you can be up over 400HP easy. This car sounds awesome. The previous owner installed a Cruise control system that is really cool and works awesome on a carbureted car. It has an am radio but I am getting ready to install and aftermarket amp with a wireless Bluetooth unit. You will be able to stream music right from your phone wire free. The best part about this car is that is an AC car. It is probably due for O-Rings as the Freon leaks down after a few years but I will recharge upon purchase which will last you the rest of the summer. I can service all the O-rings depending on the purchase price. This car is scheduled to have the windows tinted in 5% next week. The rims and tires are off a 2007 mustang and they have excellent tread and make this car ride super smooth. I do have the originals with the original hub-caps.
This car also has a Holley TBI fuel injection Kit that comes with it at $1000 value. The module and the Oxygen sensor are installed and the rest of the unit is still in the box.
You will not find a better running car for the value and you won't be buying a car you need to take home and fix.
Sale price is $15,500 or Best offer. Feel free to make and offer but no low ballers so don't bother to offer 10K. Thank You.

All deposits can be submitted Through Pay Pal. Final Payments will be done by bank transfer/cash only. Thank You

Warranty-There is no warranty and this vehicle will be sold as is.

Ford increasing Super Duty production by 15 percent

Fri, 31 Jan 2014

Ford has announced a hefty $80 million investment in its Kentucky Truck Plant, which is responsible for building the F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 versions of the Super Duty pickup. The influx of cash will add 350 jobs to the factory.
The investment is also good for a 15-percent increase in annual production thanks to retooling and other facility upgrades, which equates to an extra 55,000 units of production. Considering that Ford makes even more money off its Super Duty than it does on the hot-selling F-150, this could mean some serious coin to Ford's bottom line.
Hop below for the full press release from Ford on its latest investment.

2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost flogged and analyzed by Ignition

Mon, 13 Oct 2014

Aside from the way it looks and perhaps its independent rear suspension, the biggest bit of news on the 2015 Mustang may be the inclusion of its 2.3-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine. That blown mill marks the first time since the Mustang SVO of the '80s that a turbo has been fitted under the engine of Ford's pony car.
The Mustang EcoBoost is the subject of the latest episode of Ignition from Motor Trend, giving us a great look at the technical, nitty-gritty side of the turbocharged coupe. Covering it from bow to stern, host Carlos Lago walks us through the boosted Ford before taking to the track for some driving impressions, with particular praise given to the low-end grunt of the 2.3-liter mill.
Check out the full video and then let us know which 2015 Mustang has your interest piqued the most - the EcoBoost four, the 5.0L V8 or the entry-level V6.

Ford Transit production fires up, American Pickers among first takers

Wed, 30 Apr 2014

Not long ago, the History Channel showed a seemingly unending stream of World War II documentaries, but it made a switch a few years ago to include an increasing mix of 'reality' programming. American Pickers was one of the early attempts at this new formula, with cameras following hosts Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz around the country in a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter as they tracked down collectibles and "rusty gold" for their Iowa shop, Antique Archeology. The show has since gone on to become one of the channel's most popular programs.
Starting in the new episode airing tonight, the affable hosts will swap their Benz for a 2015 Ford Transit, a nicely timed bit of marketing to coincide with the launch of the model's assembly at the Blue Oval's Kansas City Assembly Plant, which also kicks off this week. Ford is touting 2,000 new jobs created as part of its $1.1-billion investment in the plant.
No strangers to product placement, the guys from American Pickers say their switch away from the Sprinter is because they wanted to balance cargo capacity and fuel economy to make the most of their cross-country jaunts. They opted for the largest Transit available with a long wheelbase, extended body and high roof, giving them 487 cubic feet of cargo room. Hauling power comes from a 3.2-liter, five-cylinder diesel engine with 190 horsepower and 346 pound-feet of torque and a six-speed automatic transmission with rear-wheel drive. Fittingly, the van wears the same Antique Archaeology logo over white paint as their old Sprinter.
