1965 Ford Galaxie LTD for auction!It is a very solid car, it has just a couple bubbles on the right rear quarter panel near the chrome wheel opening molding. The frame, floor pans, trunk floor is all 100% rock solid. It has a 289 rebuilt engine, with an aluminum intake and Edlebrock carb. Rebuilt transmission. It does NOT have a big cam or anything like that in it. It's pretty much a stock engine. It is NOT a race car but very driveable and has plenty of power. Runs and drives very well. New wheels, tires with 50% or more tread. All glass is good on it. Has dual exhaust as shown in pics. The paint job is nothing to write home about. It doesn't have a lot of shine to it, and near the gas cap door there is some checking. Overall, a really nice cruiser car. Very reliable. Has power steering and manual brakes. The console in it is not functional. It is just in there for looks. I don't really even know what it came out of. The car is a column shifter. It has bucket seats, it has seat covers on the seats because the drivers seat has a split in the seam. If someone painted this car it would be really nice. Call please with questions, do NOT text. Ford wins second consecutive Engine of the Year with 1.0L EcoBoost [UPDATE]

For the second year in a row, Ford has taken top honors in International Engine of the Year voting. As was the case last year, it is Ford's 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine that earns the automaker the accolade, achieving the highest-ever accumulated score in the 15 years that the award has been handed out.
A panel of 87 automotive journalists from 35 countries are responsible for choosing the world's best engines, and this is only the third time an automaker has managed back-to-back victories. Voters were impressed by the "Baby EcoBoost" engine's power output - 123 horsepower between 1,400 and 4,500 rpm, 148 pound-feet of torque from 1,400 to 4,000 rpm - and its compact size; Ford has demonstrated that the package is small enough to fit in the overhead bin of a passenger airplane.
Currently, the 1.0-liter EcoBoost is offered in the European Fiesta, B-MAX, Focus, C-MAX and Grand C-MAX, and Ford plans to put the engine in the Transit Connect, Transit Courier, Tourneo Connect, Tourneo Courier, Mondeo and EcoSport in short order. In North America, the Fiesta will be the first vehicle to offer the 1.0L EcoBoost later this year.

Ford builds two-millionth EcoBoost engine

Ford's EcoBoost engine lineup is only four years old, but it is growing into an important and popular global engine. As proof of its popularity, Ford just produced its 2 millionth EcoBoost engine - a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder - which rolled off the assembly line in Louisville, Kentucky under the hood of an Escape.
Ford now offers five EcoBoost engines around the world ranging from the 1.0-liter inline-three to the twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6, and the automaker is expanding production of two of its engine lines to keep up with demand. Earlier this year, Ford announced that the 2.0-liter EcoBoost would be built in Cleveland, Ohio starting in 2014 and, more recently, Ford said that it will be doubling production of the 1.0-liter EcoBoost in Germany. That turbo-three will also be produced in China at a new Ford engine plant in Chongqing.
