1964 Ford Galaxie Fastback Drag Car, this car is not street legal so please don't ask.
Engine: 460 bored .30 with D0VE heads ported and polished
Transmission: 4500 Stall Converter ,C6 with shift kit, B&M shifter
Rearend: 9 inch 5:00 gears with mini spool
Front suspension: Stock but I put new springs from a 1964 Ford air conditioner station wagon to support the big block
Rear suspension: It has the traction bar setup from Crites Restoration (like what the NHRA used back in the day) and the shocks are mounted for coil over springs. The leaf springs are still there because the coil overs have not been mounted yet. It would be very easy to finish.
Body: This is an older paint job and the hood would need to be painted again as the clear started to peel off. Lexan glass has been installed everywhere except for the windsheild which is stock. The front bumper is a fiberglass one purchased from Crites Restoration while the rear bumper is original. Hood, deck lid, and all the trim pieces are original as well.
Time: The car runs 7.50's in the 1/8 mile.
I won a lot of races with this car including 5 races the first year I ran it and won the points championship and the Gold Card Shootout at my home track.
It does need some work, the passenger side axle broke the last time it was ran but I do have the replacement axle that goes with the car and would be simple to fix. The headers are rusted and would need to be replaced. Everything else is in working order and the car starts up and runs fine. I would replace the Lexan in the car as it is 10 years old and looks cloudy, (maybe someone knows how to buff this out but I was unable to do so). Look at the pictures and ask any questions as I am sure I left something out.

Why Ford's Alan Mulally would be right for Microsoft, or any company
Thu, 03 Oct 2013
That Mulally was seriously being considered says a great deal about Microsoft and Mulally.
It appears that the chatter about Ford CEO Alan Mulally possibly leaving early to take over as CEO of Microsoft is losing air pretty fast. What's pretty interesting is that it got any traction in the first place.
US Ford Focus RS to be imported from Europe
Tue, 21 Oct 2014Rumors about the forthcoming Ford Focus RS are flourishing into what sounds like a very impressive new hot hatch. The latest scuttlebutt gives the first indication about when we might see a few of these fast Focuses on roads here in the US.
Unnamed insiders reportedly confirmed to The Truth About Cars that Ford plans to launch the Focus RS in the US in 2016. However, getting one might not be so easy - the boosted powertrain means the car would likely need to be imported from Europe. That's likely going to keep the total number available in the US rather low. The sources estimate a price tag that's a bit more expensive than the top Focus ST3, which starts around $28,500, plus $825 destination.
It seems that a pretty potent package comes for all of that cash, though. The Focus RS reportedly uses a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder making between 325 and 350 horsepower, with a torque-vectoring all-wheel drive system to get that muscle to the road. The test mules also wear more aggressive front and rear fascias, dual exhaust tips, larger brakes and sticky tires. It sounds like a great formula on top of the already enjoyable Focus ST.
