Up for sale is my "1964" Ford Galaxie 500 Fastback Hardtop! This car is a very cool example of a "60's" custom with an attitude. The guy I got it from threw money at it for about 3 years and I was lucky enough to be around when he was ready to let her go! I got it to have some fun with till I got my model "A" a little further along. Some of the work he had done before I got it includes...cleaned and fully undercoated under carriage, new flowmaster dual exhaust, new aluminum radiator, new edelbrock carberator, new edelbrock intake, new fuel line, new brake line, new fuel tank and satin black paint. Body is very solid as is the trunk and floor pans! Still has original spare and trunk matt. She's runnin a "352" backed by a ford cruise-o-matic trans. Also power steering. All trim is in very good condition. Interior is very nice other than the top of the rear seat has a tear on both sides but I put a cool blanket on the rear deck to go with the "60's" style I was lookin for so I just covered the top of the seat also. The rear deck is in great shape! All interior lights work as well as the outside lights. Temperature guage and gas guage do not work but is probably an easy fix. Sending unit? Was that way when I bought it just haven't stopped driving it enough to look into it! All glass is good except windshield has a small crack in it the size of a nickel but does not effect your vision. Car runs and drives great and heat works very well on all speeds. Lowered in back with 2" blocks and air shocks and cut in front. Car does need new exhaust manifold gaskets but they do tend to get quieter as they heat up! I was planning on replacing them this winter as I was going to do a full under hood detailing. This car is super cool with fully gold flaked flames and scallops on rood and pinstriped inside and out. This car is not a 10 or 20 thousand dollar show car but would not take much to get her there if that your thing. I think she's badass just how she is! She screams trational "60's" custom and draws a crowd wherever she goes! Come get her and put some finishing touches on her or leave her as is and drive and enjoy! This car is for sale locally and will end auction if sold. Please email me with any questions, THANKS

Verizon buys Telogis in connected vehicle market push
Wed, Jun 22 2016(Note/disclaimer: We are owned by Verizon, by way of AOL. This gives us no inside track whatsoever when it comes to news.) With a lot of tech companies and automakers staking their claims in the connected car space, now there are signs that others are looking to move in, too. Today, telecoms giant Verizon announced that it is acquiring Telogis, a California-based company that develops cloud-based solutions for mobile workforces, and specifically telematics, compliance and navigation software used by Ford, Volvo, GM and other car companies, as well as Apple and AT&T. Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed, although we'll try to find out. Considering that Verizon in 2015 reported full-year revenues of $131.6 billion, the price would have to be very high to be considered "material" and may not be made public for some time, if ever. Telogis in its time as a startup raised a substantial amount of money, just over $126 million in all, including $93 million in 2013, supposedly ahead of an IPO, all from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. Back in 2013 when KPCB made its investment (which was the first from a VC firm in the company), Telogis told TechCrunch it was profitable and forecasting revenues of $100 million annually for the year. It's not clear what size those revenues are now, but if it was on the same growth trajectory as before the funding, sales would be around $150 million annually, with profitability, at the moment. Other investors include some very notable strategics: the investment arm of General Motors, and Fontinalis Partners, which also invests in Lyft and was co-founded by Bill Ford, the executive chairman of the Ford Motor Company. Before the acquisition, Verizon actually had a business in fleet management and telematics; in fact, the two companies competed against each other for business from the trucking and other industries. Verizon Telematics, as the business is called, is active in 40 countries. But in a way, Verizon buying Telogis is a sign that the latter may have proved to be the more superior, and the one with the key customer deals.
Ford files trademark for 'EcoBeast' moniker
Mon, Dec 29 2014Ford has done some performance stuff with its EcoBoost line of vehicles, most notably with its Focus and Fiesta ST, the new, turbocharged Mustang and the luke-warm Taurus SHO and F-150 Tremor, but it's kind of avoided going wholly bonkers. That could be set to change quite soon, judging by a trademark filing with Uncle Sam. Ford has registered the name EcoBeast with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, listing it as "automobiles and automobile engines," according to the team at Motorlix, which discovered the filing. As always, it bears mentioning that companies are constantly filing trademarks, even if a good or service never emerges with said name. We agree with Motorlix, though – it seems highly unlikely Ford is going to just let this name languish. What vehicle or engine will wear this new badge is the real question. We're leaning towards something F-150 related, based on our last round of spy photos of the new SVT Raptor, although it's impossible to say for certain what the Blue Oval has planned. Here's hoping we find out in just a few weeks when Ford brings basically all of its performance merchandise to the 2015 Detroit Auto Show. Until then, let us know what you think Ford is planning with the EcoBeast.
Ford Australia debuts Ranger-based Everest SUV concept
Tue, 13 Aug 2013Ford has been in hot water in Australia ever since it announced plans to end local production of the Falcon and Territory SUV. Besides canceling a model that is to Oz what the Mustang is to America, the end of production means more than a few folks will be out of work.
Keen to prove that it has a plan for the market, Ford has unveiled the Aussie-penned Everest Concept, a rough-and-tumble, seven-seat SUV. While not a direct replacement for the aging Territory (that role will eventually be filled by either the Edge or Flex, according to Car Advice) it's an indication from Ford's brass that the Blue Oval is still committed to Australia.
To prove that fact, Alan Mullaly, Mark Fields, Jim Farley and regional execs descended on Sydney for the debut of the new concept. Ford's Australian president and CEO, Bob Graziano, said of the Everest, "Our customers, our employees and Australia can be assured that we're connected to the nation and committed to our customers through terrific products with class-leading technologies."
