Hello. You are bidding on a 1963 Ford Galaxie 500. This car was born in Oakland, California, and was equipped with a 352 engine, with a Cruise-o-matic transmission.  The color code for the car was originally Corinthian White with black interior. This car is equipped with factory Select-Air, air conditioning, factory power brakes, and factory power steering. This car is a one owner car. It spent its life in Salinas, California, and was left as an open title in 1995. The car was then brought to Arizona in 1973, and was parked in 1979. I purchased the car in November 2012 from the nephew of the original owner. I will include in the auction all the original documentation that I have for it which includes: the original 1963 California Black and Yellow plate that matches the original 1963 California title, the 1973 Arizona License plate with 1979 tags, a maintenance service record booklet that the original owner had for the Galaxie, and the original owner's manual. The car has current registration and current original 1961 Arizona plates with 1963 tags.

Okay, now to the fun part: The car was parked in 1979 due to 4 bent rods. The mileage on the odometer when the car was parked is true, and shows 70449. When I purchased the car, I had the motor and transmission completely taken apart and rebuilt. I also had the heads both redone, and upgraded the engine form a 352 to a 390. Everything is new in the engine compartment has been replaced. The car is equipped with a factory 2 barrel carb, but i will include with the auction a date coded 1963 Ford 4 barrel carb which is very hard to find. The original power brakes system was completely rebuilt, and all the brake shoes, hoses, lines and cylinders were replaced. The whole brake system works beyond great, and you can stop on a dime. The complete original power steering system was replaced with new parts and hoses. New ball joints were added to the car, as well as tie rods and other bushings. All new shocks were added to the car also. A new gas tank and sending unit was also added to the car. A new aluminum radiator was also added to the car, but I will include the original one in the auction. The original ac compressor is hooked up, but will need to be charged with R12 coolant; I will include 2 cans that I purchased, but you will need 2 more cans for a full charge. I upgraded the charging system with an alternator. The car has a complete, new dual exhaust system: 2 3/4 inches exhaust with flow masters, an "x" pipe, and NOS exhaust tips. The car was converted to a floor shift style set up, but still has the Cruise-o-matic transmission that was taken apart and resealed. I used an original 1963 Galaxie 4 speed column and collar, as well as the complete 4 speed pedal assembly, and 1960's Ford tachometer. I did this to give the car more of a tougher look, and no one can ever tell the difference. I will include the original Cruise-o-matic column and collar, and power brake pedal if you wish to convert it back. The car has a new windshield, and new front and back windshield gaskets. It also has all new side window weatherstripping, including window sweeps and channel felts. It has new door, trunk, and engine compartment rubbers. All the chrome and stainless is re-chromed or polished. It has Firestone Pie Crust tires, with white walls flipped in, mounted on powder coated gloss black wheels, with restored dog dish poverty caps. The interior of the car was completely redone to original specs and is completely new; it's only 6 months old. I installed a completely hidden cd/Ipod player with hidden speakers; it sounds very nice. The car was equipped with seat belts, but they were badly worn, so I replaced them with new black seat belts, and 1963 black Ford original reproduction floor mats, that are now discontinued. The body on the car is very straight, and has very few imperfections. There are a few dings on the roof, and a couple of screw holes on the passenger side lower rocker, that the original owner put on the car, to pull a dent out. I did no body work to the car. It was painted semi-gloss black, and has a few scratches and paint chips, but is still very nice. The undercarriage of the car is as clean as the outside of the car. It has been cleaned and painted, and the bottom of the floors were painted in red oxide primer. The car has rock solid floors and trunk floor board, as well as solid lower rear quarters and rockers. There is no sign of any body rot. I will include with the car over $15k in receipts and proofs of purchases. There is a lot to list on this car, and I'm sure I have missed some stuff. Long story short, this car gets lots of looks.

I have the car listed locally, so I have the right to end the auction early. Please feel free to contact me for any more questions or concerns. No scams!!! No b/s!!! No dreamers!!! Am willing to do possible trade for a Prius with low miles, or a 1920-1929 Ford Roadster or coupe hot rod, with cash. I can help with any loading, and I can hold the car for a few weeks if needed.  $1500 non refundable deposit must be made on the car when auction ends, and the car must be paid in full within 24 hours of auction ending. Any overseas buyers need to contact me before bidding on the car, and you must have more than 5 postive feedbacks before bidding. Any questions please contact me. Thank You.

Ford wins second consecutive Engine of the Year with 1.0L EcoBoost [UPDATE]

Wed, 05 Jun 2013

For the second year in a row, Ford has taken top honors in International Engine of the Year voting. As was the case last year, it is Ford's 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine that earns the automaker the accolade, achieving the highest-ever accumulated score in the 15 years that the award has been handed out.
A panel of 87 automotive journalists from 35 countries are responsible for choosing the world's best engines, and this is only the third time an automaker has managed back-to-back victories. Voters were impressed by the "Baby EcoBoost" engine's power output - 123 horsepower between 1,400 and 4,500 rpm, 148 pound-feet of torque from 1,400 to 4,000 rpm - and its compact size; Ford has demonstrated that the package is small enough to fit in the overhead bin of a passenger airplane.
Currently, the 1.0-liter EcoBoost is offered in the European Fiesta, B-MAX, Focus, C-MAX and Grand C-MAX, and Ford plans to put the engine in the Transit Connect, Transit Courier, Tourneo Connect, Tourneo Courier, Mondeo and EcoSport in short order. In North America, the Fiesta will be the first vehicle to offer the 1.0L EcoBoost later this year.

Ford reveals new rapid prototyping and low-volume production techniques [w/video]

Mon, 08 Jul 2013

It's called "F3T," and that stands for Ford Free-form Fabrication Technology. The process that The Blue Oval has developed means being able to sidestep the weeks-long process of tool-and-die making when engineers want to construct a new part, allowing them to fabricate a three-dimensional part from a two-dimensional sheet of metal in just hours.
While F3T is being developed it is limited to "low-volume prototyping or even low-volume niche vehicles," but the next step is to evaluate it for use in Ford's global manufacturing facilities. You can find out more about it in the video and the press release below.

Ford unveils all-new 2016 F-650 and F-750 at NTEA

Tue, 04 Mar 2014

Medium-duty work trucks might not be the most exciting vehicles, but they perform necessary jobs everyday. Ford is in the process of a complete refresh of its entire commercial vehicle lineup over the next 18 months, and it is debuting the all-new versions of its F-650 and F-750 trucks at the NTEA Work Truck Show in Indianapolis, IN.
"The all-new F-650/F-750 allow us to leverage our strengths and sales leadership in Classes 1 to 5 to create a better F-650/F-750 that's designed, engineered and built by Ford in the USA," said Ford spokesperson Mike Levine to Autoblog via email.
Huge amounts of torque is vital for trucks like these, and both models are offered with some of Fords biggest engines. Buyers can opt for either the 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 diesel with TorqShift 6-speed automatic with available power takeoff or a gasoline-fueled 6.8-liter V10 with a 6-speed automatic. The V10 can also be ordered from the factory to be fueled by compressed natural gas or liquid propane gas.
