1963 Ford Galaxie with numbers matching 289 V8
I bought this car a few months ago with the intention to make it into a nice driver, but got a new job that leaves me little extra time to work on the car.
Here's the good stuff:
-Engine runs. Starts up right away. Numbers matching, appears to never have been bored out. Compression on all cylinders is 120 psi +/- 3. No leaks.
-New brake lines to rear wheels, installed last month.
-New slave cylinder on rear wheel, installed last month.
-Comes with all exterior moldings, emblems, etc.
-3-point Seat belts installed.
-All exterior lights work.
-Split bench from late-model Town Car installed.
-New battery with new wiring to body and generator.
-New filters, with extra oil filter included.
-Tires are in great shape.
And the other stuff:
-Haven't driven it much, so not sure how reliable the car is beyond a few miles. Bring a trailer.
-Gauge lights work intermittently.
-Original seat frames need recovering.
-No headliner or carpet.
-Trunk floor has some holes, needs patching.
-No radio included.
This Galaxie needs a few days worth of work, and will be an excellent cruiser to the local car shows. I really don't want to sell it, but this is second project car, and don't have time to commit to it. Have a clear title in my name. Feel free to ask questions if I haven't been clear. Thanks, and good luck.

Ford increasing Super Duty production by 15 percent
Fri, 31 Jan 2014Ford has announced a hefty $80 million investment in its Kentucky Truck Plant, which is responsible for building the F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 versions of the Super Duty pickup. The influx of cash will add 350 jobs to the factory.
The investment is also good for a 15-percent increase in annual production thanks to retooling and other facility upgrades, which equates to an extra 55,000 units of production. Considering that Ford makes even more money off its Super Duty than it does on the hot-selling F-150, this could mean some serious coin to Ford's bottom line.

Toyota, Ford decide to end hybrid collaboration before it starts
Tue, 23 Jul 2013Not all so-called Memorandum of Understanding pacts end in actual collaborations. For instance, after a two-year "feasibility study," Toyota and Ford have just announced that they will not be developing hybrid systems for use in light trucks and SUVs as previously planned, and the two automakers will instead continue to develop their own hybrid technology independently.
The would-be collaboration was first announced in August of 2011, and would have seen a rear-wheel-drive hybrid platform that would "improve the efficiency of trucks and SUVs while still allowing them to be driven in the way customers expect," according to our initial post on the topic.
Keep in mind that this announcement isn't to say we shouldn't expect hybrid pickups and SUVs from the two automakers, but that they probably aren't coming very soon - Ford says it will have a system "before the end of this decade" and we haven't heard much from Toyota on the hybrid truck front since the 2008 A-BAT Concept (pictured above) - and that they will not share any components between them (and they never have, for what it's worth).
Ford's Mulally makes shortlist for Microsoft CEO
Fri, 08 Nov 2013Ford CEO Alan Mulally has made the short list to take over tech giant Microsoft, lending further credence to rumors that the 68-year-old former Boeing exec would ditch Dearborn and move to Redmond.
The report comes from Reuters, which claims that alongside Mulally, former Nokia CEO Stephen Elop and three candidates from within Microsoft are on the short list to succeed Steve Ballmer at the company's helm, although previous reports claim the Ford exec is the number one candidate. Mulally is currently working without a contract, although Bill Ford seems to believe that he isn't likely to depart. Despite this belief, Ford was quoted just last month talking about the depth of talent on the Blue Oval's executive team.
"There is no change from what we announced last November. Alan remains fully focused on continuing to make progress on our One Ford plan. We do not engage in speculation," said Ford spokesman Jay Cooney.
