You are buying a 2012 Ford Fusion SE with 36k Miles.

Automatic, 4 Cylinder.

Color : Ford Paint Code HT :

Interior : Cloth Interior. I did notice a couple minor stains when taking the photos. We will go over them again. Overall a very clean interior.

Body
: Nothing negative to report here. It is a great color! The paint shines and all body panels fit as they should. Autocheck reports this vehicle to be accident free and it certainly looks that way to me. Other than a few minor chips ( that would need to pointed out to be noticed ) this is about as clean as any used vehicle.

Vehicle Appearance : The car is clean inside and out, and will be that way when you pick it up. You will notice we did not detail the Engine Compartment. It has been bitterly cold here and I do not think it is a good idea to spray water under the hood at this time. Also, once the car is sold, it will be kept inside awaiting your arrival.

Tires : Matching set of Michelin's, fronts about 30-40 percent, rears slightly more than that.

Mechanical : Nothing negative to report here, jump in and drive home ANYWHERE!

Warranty : Still covered under the Ford Factory Power Train Coverage, check with your Ford dealer for exact details.

Misc : There are two keys. There is an Owners manual.

NHTSA closes Ford F-Series Super Duty steering probe without recall

Wed, 05 Feb 2014

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's investigation into 2008 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty pickups, which was originally opened last year, has now ended without a recall. NHTSA was looking into steering failures on some 336,000 trucks.
The issue rested with the steering gear - NHTSA received five complaints of failures - which was redesigned in 2005. According to the report on the matter, investigators "found evidence of broken sector shaft gear teeth and piston damage consistent with incidents of single event overload."
NHTSA investigators, however, "found no evidence of fatigue or material property defects in any of the fractures. Analysis of complaint rates by vehicle build month showed no patterns indicating potential manufacturing quality issues and no difference before and after Ford introduced design changes to the input shaft and sector shaft seals in July 2007 to address potential leak concerns," according to the report, obtained by The Detroit News.

Ford recalling 126,000 Fusions and Milans over wheel separation concern

Fri, 09 Dec 2011

Ford has announced a recall of certain Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan vehicles after an investigation by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. A total of 128,616 2010 and 2011 models equipped with steel wheels may have been manufactured with wheel studs that could crack and split over time. If that happens, the vehicle may experience a wheel separation.
According to The Detroit News, the company is aware of a total of 30 wheel separation incidents, one of which occurred on the front of the vehicle. Even so, no injuries have been reported as a result of the defect.
The problem apparently stems from the fact that the mounting pads on the vehicles' steel wheels may have been faulty from the factory. In addition, the wheel mounting face on rear disc brakes may not have been installed properly. Ford will inspect the rear disc face and replace them as necessary. In addition, the company will replace all of the vehicle's wheel studs free of charge. Head to the NHTSA website for more information, and click past the jump to view the full recall notice.

1979 Dodge Li'l Red Express in Generation Gap showdown with 1933 Ford Pickup

Fri, 18 Jul 2014

Auto enthusiasts love a good debate, whether it's Mustang versus Camaro or Ferrari against Lamborghini. But how about a battle between two very different vintages of classic pickup trucks? In this case, the fight is between a 1979 Dodge Li'l Red Express and a 1933 Ford Model 46 truck with a flathead V8.
The shootout comes courtesy of the internet series Generation Gap, and its concept is super-simple. One guy prefers classics, and the other likes newer rides. They choose a category, pick two vehicles and put them head to head. In this case, neither is exactly modern, though. The Ford is more than old enough to receive Social Security checks, and the Dodge is hardly a young whippersnapper.
Other than both being pickups, these two models were made to serve very different functions. The Li'l Red Express was basically the progenitor of today's muscle trucks, with a big V8 that made it one of the quickest new models in its day (admittedly, 1979 was a rough time for automotive performance). On the other hand, the '33 Ford was just meant to work, with little pretense for anything else. One of the hosts describes it as "the simplest, most difficult" vehicle he's driven because of the tricky double clutchwork necessary to shift gears. Scroll down to watch the video and try to decide which of these two American classics you would rather have in your garage.
