Thank you for looking at my listing, this is a very nice car, we have tried selling it twice, and eBay has a lot of NON PAYING buyers, so lets make this as easy as possible, if you don't have the funds in your account RIGHT NOW, please DO NOT WASTE MY TIME!

This is a 2011 Ford Fusion SE. I'm the 3rd owner, the 1st owner was Enterprise Rent A Car, and not sure who the second was. I've owned it a few months, however no longer need it as living in Chicago we have amazing public transit.

The car has new tires, and just replaced the brake pads about a month ago. Car is very clean as you can see from the photos. You are welcome to pick the car up, OR, we already paid $416 to ship the car once (to the non paying buyer) and would be more then happy to throw it on a truck (only after at least 75% of payment is received)

Kelly Blue Book ranges from $12,478 in FAIR condition to $14,828 in EXCELLENT condition. This car is in EXCELLENT condition, however I didn't pay that much for it, and won't change you that much. I need it gone, as I park on the street and parking is a nightmare.

ASKING  $11,000  OBO

There is slight curb rash on the wheels from parking, body is dent and rust free. Upon clicking BUY IT NOW, or winning the auction, a deposit of $500.00 is due within 1 hour. This deposit is NON REFUNDABLE (sorry but as many times as its been sold and not paid for, I can't chance it again)   The remaining balance is due withing 48 hours, either by PayPal, Chase QuickPay, or Cash in person. If you do want the car put on the truck, you MUST pay AT LEAST 75% of the total sale price BEFORE we will send it. We will allow you to receive the car prior to making the final payment, but you will be required to fill out of form and have notarized stating you agree to pay the remaining once you receive the car.

Again, great car, need gone. If you have a offer, send me an email via eBay message center. If I accept, please be ready to make payment. Asking $11,000.... any offers under $9000 will not be accepted.

Thank you and happy eBaying!

NHTSA investigating 725k Ford, Mercury vehicles for stalling issue

Mon, 25 Feb 2013

Owners of Ford Escape, Mercury Mariner, Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan models, listen up. According to a report on Automotive News, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has opened an investigation into these four vehicles totaling an estimated 725,000 units. The investigation appears to center around a malfunctioning throttle body on non-hybrid models of the 2005-2012 Escape and 2011-2012 Fusion. With Mercury dying off after the 2011 model year, this probe will also apply to the 2005 through 2011 Mariner and the 2011 Milan. There has been some discussion around the Escape stalling issue for some time now, but this investigation appears to be larger in scope than before.
Though not a recall yet, NHTSA's Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) has received 123 complaints of stalling or surging vehicles, while Ford itself has logged 1,472 complaints. The investigation report, which is posted below, seems to indicate that a faulty circuit board for the throttle body could cause the vehicle to go into limp mode, which, according to NHTSA, could cause complaints of both stalling and surging.

2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid

No Prius Killer
As much as we enthusiasts like to rail on the lowly Toyota Prius as the harbinger of death for all we hold dear, there's no denying the machine's absolute and interminable grip on the hybrid hatchback market in the United States. Toyota has so thoroughly sunk its teeth into the segment that you can clearly hear the automaker's incisors clacking against one another with the conclusion of each financial quarter. And there's little wonder why. Buyers can plop down less than $25,000 and have a runabout that can return up to an estimated 51 miles per gallon in the city, leaving every other entry on the market with precious little gristle to gnaw on.
Enter the 2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid. With its claimed 47 mpg combined, the funky little hatch from Europe already falls behind the 48 mpg city offered by the Prius, but that marginal sacrifice in fuel economy could be a small price to pay for buyers who want a credible alternative to the stalwart Toyota. Unfortunately, like the Fusion Hybrid, the C-Max Hybrid had trouble even approaching its Environmental Protection Agency estimates during our time with the car.

Ford lowers MPG ratings on six vehicles

Thu, 12 Jun 2014

Ford has announced that it will be lowering the fuel economy ratings on a number of its 2013 and 2014 model year vehicles after an error was discovered in the company's internal testing data. The EPA has been notified.
Worryingly for Ford, the vast majority of the vehicles affected are hybrids, including the C-Max, Fusion and MKZ in both hybrid and plug-in varieties (where applicable). Also covered as part of the rerating is the entire lineup of 2014 Fiesta engines, with the exception of the ST, including the turbocharged, three-cylinder EcoBoost.
The C-Max was originally rated at 47/47/47 mpg, but dropped to 43/45/40 last year and now to 40/42/37.
