2005 Saleen Focus

What I have done in the last 1500 miles:

-Saleen Big Brake kit
-SVT rear brake kit
-Adjustable Tokico struts in front and rear - setting 1-7 for ride firmness
-NEW Racecraft springs
-Rear suspension has all NEW poly bushings and new lower control arms - front poly bushings included, but not installed
-FSwerks Stage 2 intercooled Turbo kit
-REAL Cosworth Intake Manifold
-Custom exhaust (2.5" with magnaflow resonator and magnaflow muffler) - still has saleen center exit
-Saleen wheels are in decent condition...a few scratches. All centercaps and pins are there - extra centercaps included
-Corbeau LC1 WIDE suede seats
-rear seat removed (but have it and its included)
-Massive harness bar - uncoated
-corbeau 4 point harnesses
-Custom LED/carbon fiber center console
-short throw shifter (steeda)
-Billet shifter inserts
-AFR wideband guage
-Boost guage - plumbed but not installed. Gauge housing included
-aftermarket radio
-Blue LEDs for HVAC controls and doors (matches radio)
-CFM 67mm TB - cruise control works, but disengaged
-XCAL 3 Tuner
-Tunes from Randy at FSwerks
-I do have an N2O hood scoop that needs to be painted and installed
-Billet diverter valve
-EVAP/PZEV delete
-Massacre rear strut brace
-Saleen/Racecraft front strut brace
-Tires have less than 750 miles on them (continental)
-Spec Flywheel
-Spec Stage 2 clutch

The following are the ONLY issues with the car: The clutch slips when its cold. Its a new clutch, the shop I had install it cant figure it out. That is really the only reason I am selling the car. There is a dime size ding on the side roof panel. The front and rear bumpers have cracking paint. One of the wheels is scraped up a bit, not bad...I am including a BRAND new wheel though!

The rear seat is out of the car, but I do have it and it is included. The mods alone total over $14000...yeah, I dont know what I was thinking. Finding a Saleen Focus is a little difficult... at this price with this mileage is even harder. Finding one with these modifications with this mileage at this price....you might as well try to find the Ark of the Covenant! This is my daily driver. I am actually driving it today and I would trust it to drive back and forth across the country.

I have the title in hand. I can help make shipping arrangements.  For a point of reference, I just shipped an F150 from Atlanta to California for $975.  If Buy it Now is used, I will include a new clutch from Spec, but the owner will be responsible for installing it.

**Vehicle is for sale outside of Ebay.  I reserve the right to end the auction early if the item sells locally.

** I was asked a question about the harness bar.  It can be removed in about 15 minutes.  However, If you do this, the harnesses are not at the proper angle against your neck.  This car was built right and all of this was taken into consideration.  Search the net for proper angle of race harnesses and you will see what I mean.  you could use the stock seatbelts....they are still there, but you would need a latch installed in order to use them properly.

Ford sued over alleged 3.5-liter EcoBoost defects

Thu, 16 May 2013

Three Ford owners from Ohio have filed a lawsuit against the automaker over defects that they allege exist within the company's twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost engine. Automotive News reports that the lawsuit claims the engine "contained serious latent design, manufacturing, or assembly defects." Those defects, the suit claims, cause the vehicle to shake, misfire and lose power quickly.
Two of the plaintiffs, a married couple, own a 2010 Ford Taurus SHO, and allege they experienced a loss of power and stalling, while the third, an F-150 owner, claims he lost power while accelerating. In addition to the Taurus SHO and F-150, the 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost engine is also available in the Ford Flex, Explorer Sport and Lincoln MKT and MKS. Other three- and four-cylinder EcoBoost engines are not included in the suit. There have been no recalls associated with 3.5-liter V6 engine, and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is currently not investigating the matter.
The plaintiffs, however, claim Ford has known about the problem, citing several technical service bulletins issued to dealers of the F-150 that suggest possible fixes. Ford had no comment for Automotive News, saying that it's yet to review the lawsuit, which was filed last Friday in Columbus, OH.

Ford promises 12 new global performance vehicles through 2020

Thu, Dec 11 2014

Ford just keeps rolling out the big announcements today. We've already told you about the next-gen Focus RS coming to the US and the upcoming Sync 3 infotainment system. And this latest one should perk up the ears of racing fans or anyone who enjoys an enthusiastic drive (basically, all Autoblog readers). The Blue Oval says it has "more than 12" new performance vehicles on the way globally through 2020. Unfortunately, the only one that the automaker confirms at the moment is the Focus RS, but recent rumors might suggest a few others. Ford reportedly has the Shelby Mustang GT350R, next-gen F-150 Raptor and a Ford GT successor all on the way, all of which could possibly debut at the Detroit Auto Show in January. The future GT might even take the company back to racing at Le Mans. Speaking of motorsports, Ford is also blending its performance vehicle and racing efforts worldwide into a unified entity by combining SVT, Team RS and Ford Racing into a new organization called Ford Performance. It's responsible not just for excelling on the track but also for developing aero improvements, electronics, powertrain and lightweight tech for the Blue Oval's vehicles. "Our new global Ford Performance team ties together racing, performance vehicles and parts. It will allow us to more quickly introduce products and accessories that meet the needs of customers around the world on-road and on the track," said Raj Nair, Ford group vice president, Global Product Development, in the company's press release. The automaker thinks this market might be booming, especially among younger buyers. For example, recent data shows Millennials buy ST models at twice the rate of the rest of Ford's cars. Scroll down to read the Blue Oval's full announcement of the new division and the plan to get excited about things to come. FORD DRIVING PERFORMANCE INNOVATION TO NEW LEVELS; MORE THAN 12 VEHICLES COMING FROM NEW GLOBAL TEAM Ford bringing more global performance vehicles to customers worldwide; more than 12 new performance vehicles through 2020 – including Focus RS – to be available globally Ford uniting regional performance engineering and racing teams as one global team under Ford Performance, delivering more new vehicles and parts, more quickly Ford will deliver more than 12 new performance vehicles for global enthusiasts through 2020, as the company announced today its new global Ford Performance team.

2015 Ford Mustang GT Line-Lock Burnout

Mon, 03 Nov 2014

In this brief Short Cut, Autoblog's Steven Ewing demonstrates Line-Lock on the 2015 Ford Mustang GT. Accessed through an on-screen performance menu, the feature temporarily locks the front brakes to help you heat up the rear tires for better traction, as you would for drag racing. The result? A 15-second smokescreen.
