2005 Ford Focus Zx3 Hatchback 3-door 2.0l White, Great Car, Must See This Deal!! on 2040-cars
Kannapolis, North Carolina, United States
2005 Ford Focus ZX3 Hatchback 3-Door 2.0L Color: White Exterior / Black/Gray Interior MANUAL This car will be sold as is and in as is condition This is a 2 owner car If you are a mechanic or looking for a drifter this is it Buyer is responsible for shipping or picking up the car, I can deliver within 300 miles of Charlotte NC (fees apply) Car is currently not running, will need new battery cables or new battery. Car ran great 2 months ago. I was driving the down the interstate when she cut off. I could not get it to turn over so I had it towed to the spot it sits today. I can not put any money into the car. If you wiggle the battery cables she will start however I would have it looked at before driving long distances. There is NO rust on the car. This will make a great parts car or fix it and make a daily driver, I would say cost to get it nice and running would be $150-$350. I would tune it up. Everything on the car appears fully functional. The Bad: I bought the car in NC with promos that the seller would send me the title. (I know, laugh). He did not do so, I have his information but the dmv will not issue a title. I was told a mechanics title could work. Reason being I can not get in touch with the seller. I have had this car since 2009 and it has been a great car. I purchased with 80,000 miles, I have changed the oil every 3,000 with the best oil, car has been taken care of I just cant get a title and I don't know much about cars. Please feel free to do some investigating on the vin. If you are a mechanic or know how to get a title this will be a great deal. I will sell with bill of sale. I have done a vin history report so the buyer will know he/she is getting a good car
It looks though in 2008 there was minor damage done to the left rear, you will not notice any repairs as I had no idea until now.
Thanks for looking and good luck. Please ask with any questions, test drives available in Charlotte, NC. Please call me with any questions @704-787-0484 Jeff |

Ford recalls more than 550,000 trucks and SUVs for various safety issues
Wed, Aug 12 2020Ford announced safety recalls for its current F-150 pickup along with several Ford and Lincoln crossovers early Wednesday. The recalls cover more than 550,000 vehicles and address various safety defects, ranging from a fire hazard to potential loss of braking power. The most far-reaching of the recalls covers approximately 550,000 examples of the 2015-2018 Ford Edge and 2016-2018 Lincoln MKX, which may have been assembled with defective front brake jounce hoses (also commonly referred to as "flex lines"). These hoses run from fixed points on the chassis to the individual front brake calipers. Defective hoses could potentially rupture, allowing brake fluid to leak and resulting in a loss of braking function. Ford will replace the components in question with revised parts. The next-largest recall is for roughly 3,000 2020 Lincoln Corsair crossovers. The affected models may have been assembled without proper clearance between their rear suspension springs and toe link brackets. The components could potentially make contact, wearing down the protective coating on the rear coil springs, allowing corrosion to occur over time. This corrosion could eventually lead to a failure of the spring. If this happens while the vehicle is being driven, it could result in a sudden change to the vehicle's handling characteristics, and the spring fragments could potentially cause further damage to the car or surrounding traffic. Ford says owners will be notified that their Corsairs need to be inspected; if there is not adequate clearance between the rear suspension components, Ford's service technicians will remove material from the toe link bracket to allow for operation without contact. The final (and by far the smallest) recall is for the 2020 F-150. Some units may have left the factory with the incorrect retention nut on the hot lead to the starter motor. Ford says it can cause increased heat generation or electrical arcing, which could potentially result in a fire. Ford says this issue is limited to just a few hundred examples sold in the United States. Dealers will inspect the vehicles and replace the nut if necessary.
Ford F-150 SVT Raptor sales jumping to new heights
Thu, 12 Sep 2013Ford can't seem to build F-150 SVT Raptors fast enough. The off-road-ready trucks have been one of the Blue Oval's most reliable sellers, with record sales in eight of the last 10 months and a 14-percent jump in 2013. That's impressive enough, considering that the least expensive Raptor starts at $44,000. Factor in the modded F-150's fuel economy (it's rated at 11 miles per gallon in the city and 16 on the highway) and a national average gas price, as of this writing, of $3.55 per gallon, and its success is as unlikely as Ford's home team, the Detroit Lions, winning the Super Bowl this year (sorry, Lions fans, we're just quoting the experts in Vegas...).
Yet for some reason, Raptors spend an average of just 15 days on dealer lots before being snapped up, which is a quarter of the 60-day industry average. According to Ford's truck group marketing manager, Doug Scott, it's capability that keeps the Raptor selling strong. "What's helping drive Raptor sales is that Raptor delivers unmatched off-road performance to our customers. Raptor is also proof of our commitment to offer a truck for every customer and continuously improving them to meet our customers' evolving needs."
To address the strong demand for Raptors, Ford will bump production from three trucks per hour to five. Not much, we agree. But building an extra 48 trucks per day, at most, seems like a prudent way of addressing demand without oversaturating what is ultimately a niche market. Check out the press release below for more.
Check out Ford's fully automated self-parking car [w/video]
Wed, 09 Oct 2013As automakers continue to find uses for autonomous and semi-autonomous vehicle technology, Ford of Europe has announced that it is developing a self-parking system for future use. More advanced than the Active Park Assist already offered in many Ford products, the new Fully Assisted Parking Aid can take full control of the vehicle and can navigate angled and perpendicular parking spots.
While today's Active Park Assist can only parallel park with the driver controlling the gas, brake and gear selection, Fully Assisted Parking Aid can operate steering, gas, brake and gear selection all while making sure the car is properly parked in the intended space. As with APA, the driver pushes a button to make the car look for a proper spot (at speeds of up to 18 miles per hour), and when an adequate space is located, the operator pushes another button (either inside the car or outside via remote control) for the car to park itself - the button must be pressed throughout the whole parking maneuver. Even though Ford says that the car can effect gear selections on its own, the system must still start from Neutral, and the automaker isn't saying whether the car can put itself into Park when done or put itself in Drive when the operator is ready to go.
Ford is also taking the opportunity to announce its new Obstacle Avoidance technology. This automated system is able to detect objects - including pedestrians - in the road, warn drivers of said objects and, if needed, stop and steer automatically to avoid hitting the obstacle. Both systems are still in the prototype phase, so there is no word as to when we could see either on a production vehicle.
