Roxbury, Vermont, United States

Up for auction is a great running 2003 ford focus, 4 door sedan. Its is powered by a 2.0, 4 cyl engine and a manual 5 speed tranny with only 124k actual miles. This focus does have a rebuilt title from an accident that happened years ago. I just installed a new complete clutch after I took this car in trade because the throw-out bearing was noisy.  I have driven this car about 500 miles since putting the clutch in to make sure it was a dependable vehicle and this is what I found : The car runs, drives and stops great and it is great on gas (over 32 mpg) The tires are decent and it is vt state inspected til september 1st. there is some rust on the rocker panels which is comon on focuses but easily repaired or replaced. there is a crack in the windshield near the bottom left corner. To sum it all up this is a great running, turn key and drive car that is great on gas and priced to sell ! I am a vt licensed used car dealer and i can provide a in=transit plate at no charge if you are from outside of vt and wish to drive it home. I am about 50 miles from the Burlington airport and I have a guy that will meet you there and bring you directly to my place for $100 cash, I am 15 miles from the Amtrak station in Randolph and I can meet you there with the car if you wish to come in on the train. If you decide to have the car shipped, i will store it free for upto 30 days while you arrange to have it picked up. This car is for sale locally and I may end the auction at anytime for a local sale. If you have any questions please feel free to email me or call 802-485-4920 and ask for Reggie. Thanks for looking and good luck !

This is a NO RESERVE auction, unless sold locally it will go to the highest bidder.

Note : AS STATED ABOVE, THIS CAR HAS A REBUILT TITLE from an accident that happened a long time ago and does not effect the performance of the vehicle

If you don't want to wait until the end of the auction to buy the car, contact me to add a buy it now !

Ford and Mercedes join Renault in French emissions investigation

Thu, Jan 21 2016

The French government is investigating certain models from Ford, Mercedes-Benz, and Renault because they allegedly produce more nitrogen oxide than the country's pollution rules allow, according to Automotive News, citing a French newspaper. After VW's emissions scandal, French regulators began checking more vehicles for evidence of defeat devices and excessive real-world pollution. According to Automotive News, the Mercedes S350 allegedly showed inconsistent results across these tests, and a Ford C-Max had NOx levels five times over the limit. The Renault Captur crossover, Espace, and an unnamed utility vehicle also had results that were too high. The French testing for this investigation includes an on-road emissions check that's not part of the EU's normal evaluations, which some automakers claim is unfair. "Unofficial on-road testing has varying conditions and can produce significantly different results," a Ford of Europe spokesman told Automotive News. Renault representatives met with French officials on January 18 to explain the situation. The company later submitted a plan to recall 15,800 examples of the diesel Captur, and said it would offer a voluntary software upgrade for about 700,000 other vehicles, according to Automotive News. Representatives from Ford and Mercedes will meet with the government soon, too. Renault's stock price plunged last week after investors heard that French regulators searched three of the automaker's sites as part of the emissions investigation. The stockholders feared an environmental scandal like the one currently embroiling Volkswagen. There's one major difference – as of now, there's no evidence Renault equipped any of the polluting models with defeat devices. Related Video:

More 2015 Ford Mustang pricing information leaks [UPDATE]

Tue, 20 May 2014

The big news this morning was that the 2015 Ford Mustang would start at $24,425, including its destination pricing. The big news this afternoon is, well, bigger.
Mustang6G.com has come up with what it claims is pricing info for the entire Mustang line, rather than just the V6. That means we know all about the EcoBoost and GT prices now, which, when combined with the dealer order sheets we reported on last week, gives us our clearest look yet at how the Mustang can be outfitted (we're still a bit short on pricing info for some standalone options, like paint premiums and such).
The base EcoBoost starts at $25,995, while the GT rings up at $32,925.

Ford reports 58% drop in Q2 profits on European losses

Wed, 25 Jul 2012

Ford Motor Company announced Wednesday that it has posted a $1 billion profit for the second quarter of 2012. That sounds like good news for the Blue Oval, until you take into account that Ford posted a $2.4 billion profit for Q2 a year ago. That is a substantial 58 percent loss.
Ford also posted $465 million in international losses, with $404 million of those losses coming directly from Europe. The automaker also increased its European loss projections to $1 billion for 2012, due in large part to the economic crisis overseas, which has resulted in increased unemployment and decreased consumer confidence.
