1993 Ford Festiva Gl Hatchback 2-door 1.3l on 2040-cars
Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, United States
This 1993 Ford Festiva is an incredibly rare find. It has only 47,700 original, actual miles. The engine and clutch feel good. The car was obviously sitting for probably a long time because there is corrosion on the brake parts that you can clearly hear when driving it. This is common on cars that have been sitting. There is also an exhaust leak but the exhaust is not hanging down underneath the car. It has a manual stick shift transmission, which is really hard to find. Most Festivas on the used market are automatic. Clutch come up high but I was told that is common for these cars. All I did after getting the car was put a full tank of gas in it. I haven't changed the oil or done any maintenance to the car at all. Consider it a running 'barn find' car that is in running, driving condition. The car is overall solid. The surface rust I the photos can be fixed. It is not rusted through. It needs to be sanded and repainted. Underneath the car is solid. It is a used car and I am not advertising it as a show car so don't expect perfection. Price reflects the rarity. Bid high and bid often. Good luck bidding!

Ford of Europe celebrates Mondeo's 20th anniversary
Wed, 25 Sep 2013Ford's European operations are celebrating a milestone of sorts as the Mondeo, the Blue Oval's bread-and-butter D-segment sedan in the old country, celebrates its 20th anniversary. The mid-sizer, which was sold in the US for a short time as the Contour, has been a far more popular vehicle in Europe - even receiving regular praise from one Jeremy Clarkson.
Narrated by Cockney actor Ray Winstone, the video goes through the Mondeo's years and how it's evolved from 1993 to the as-yet-unreleased fifth-generation model, which is essentially the same as the Ford Fusion that's sold in America. Take a look below for the full video from Ford of Europe.
Ford demonstrates Mustang's new Line Lock burnout feature
Tue, 22 Apr 2014Been saving your pennies for a 2015 Ford Mustang? Put in a few extra shifts or some overtime? Got a great down payment ready? Well, however much you saved for your new pony car, start saving more - you'll need the extra money to spend on tires.
That's because the Mustang will come with a system called Line Lock, which can lock the front brakes electronically, allowing drivers to perform big, dumb, smoky burnouts without moving so much as an inch. It's sort of like launch control, only the average driver might actually use it.
Now, line locks aren't uncommon, particularly in drag racing. Usually, a flip of the switch locks the front brakes. The Mustang, besides offering the system from the factory which is unique in and of itself, looks a bit more involved.
Ford and 'Dirty Jobs' pitchman Mike Rowe part ways [w/videos]
Thu, 20 Feb 2014Former Dirty Jobs host Mike Rowe has one less job as of today - the pitchman is no longer a pitchman for Ford, with yesterday's announcement from Rowe ending a seven-year partnership between the TV host and the Blue Oval.
Rowe made the announcement to political pundit Glenn Beck, saying the two are "going in different directions" and wishing Ford "every possibly success that any car company could ever have," according to The Detroit News. Rowe and Ford got together in 2005, right around the time the 51-year-old came to prominence as the host of Dirty Jobs and the narrator for Deadliest Catch, two of the Discovery Channel's most popular shows.
Take a look below for a few video snippets of Rowe's tenure at Ford.
