Just in time for summer, a beautiful Red 1963 Ford Falcon Futura Convertible with bucket seats !
Please take a look at all the pictures....I bought this car perhaps 3.5 years ago from an older gent in CA and he had it restored / painted and I shipped back to New Jersey and have enjoyed it ever since. It's originally a CA car so there was no rust.that I can see.
It's a real head turner and runs, stops, etc just fine.....
I'm not an antique car expert, I just enjoy owning / driving it locally and to shows and enjoy the comments !
Not many of there convertibles left, especially in this shape and runs quite nicely :)
The milage indicates 77,357, I have no way of knowing if it's original, but based on the cars look and comments from the prior owner I woulden't be surprised. ! ( he knew the original owner and history of the car )
The paint shines quuite nicely, it runs just fine and the interior is in great shape with the correct door panels and the chrome is great ! ....the only issue I can see if when the car off is shut off, the battery drains in an hour or so, my guess is a short or bulb staying on draining the battery, I just disconnect the black cable...a minor fix and needs a new radio ( i have an extra one that comes with the car )
PLEASE NOTE: it's a 50 year car and isn't perfect, some minor blemishs ,etc.... In my opinion minor, nice paint...not a 10k paint job but not a cheap one either !
It needs a new top, I keep the top down all the time so the new owner if desired, can replace that.....not that expensive ! and the dash is a darker red / the last owner left it that way and used a dash pad....I have a new dash pad that I will include at no extra cost !
PLEASE NOTE: SELLING AS IS......NO WARRANTY IMPLIED !
Ok so now for the must add stuff. A PAYPAL deposit of $500.00 is required 24 hours after the auction ends and the remainder prior to pickup..... I can assist with the shipping if needed / will be here for pick-up,etc...
Please feel free to ask any questions and good luck bidding.
Located in Boonton NJ 07005...near RT80, RT46 and RT287

Ford's Galhotra succeeds Farley as head of Lincoln
Wed, 23 Jul 2014Ford Motor Company is announcing a major personnel shakeup that could have a dramatic effect on the future of the Lincoln division. Kumar Galhotra (pictured above), currently vice president of engineering at Ford for all of its vehicles worldwide, is taking over as the president of the luxury brand on September 1, replacing Jim Farley. The automaker is also hiring a new head of advanced engineering.
Galhotra has a huge job ahead of him as the new boss of Lincoln worldwide, overseeing product development, marketing, sales and service. His task is to turn the luxury division into a world-class brand as quickly as possible, and he reports directly to Ford President and CEO Mark Fields.
"These changes underscore our commitment to build on the success of our One Ford plan by accelerating our pace of progress. They also make clear we are serious about Lincoln as a world-class luxury brand and that product excellence and innovation are what will deliver growth and define our entire company going forward," said Fields in the company's announcement.
Ford Mustang returning to Australia in 2016
Mon, 15 Jul 2013Australia's Herald Sun newspaper has reported that the next-generation Ford Mustang is heading Down Under in 2016, just as Ford is hanging the "Closed for Good" sign on its Australian manufacturing operations and sending the Falcon to its grave. Ford hasn't offered any official word on the matter, but the paper says that Ford's global VP of sales and marketing, Jim Farley, is flying to Australia to make the announcement himself.
While Ford converted Mustangs in the early 2000s from left-hand to right-hand drive for the Australian market and then sold them at high prices, it's been almost five decades since Ford imported a dedicated right-hand-drive Mustang to Oz. The arrival of the global model specifically made for places like Australia and the UK means Ford will also be able to offer them at better prices than the converted models; the Herald Sun says the price is expected to be "close to $50,000."
And that's for one of the "V8 performance models," which are the only ones Australia will get; Ford apparently won't send the turbocharged four cylinder or the V6. The Aussies could find out in a month from now whether this rumor is true. We will all find out what this Mustang fuss is about when the car debuts at next year's New York Auto Show.
