Thanks for viewing my auction. You are looking at my extremely rare FORD van or Falcon. This van is in great shape for it age and is mechanically very sound. I personally have driven this van many times and recently took my kids on a trip to the bike park. It really has tons of room inside . This classic is just full of opportunity to do many things with . The under side of the van is in very good shape., Anyone that knows these vans know that they are very prone to rust and many of the vans are rotted beyond belief. This van has some rust in the rockers and mid body mount. the front right floor at your feet has a hole as well . There are various places at the rear that has rust as well. I restore vehicle and this is a vey easy vehicle to fix. The van runs and drives great . it has the 3 speed trans , 170 cid engine / Recently all the brakes have been rebuilt from front to back. The carb is brand new and the engine runs great. it does have a exhaust manifold leak. all the seats are intact and one is a folding seat . the glass is all original stamped with the ford emblem. the poop out windows work great . The windows roll up and down great as well and all the door latches and handles. the vent windows operate as well. The factory gas tank was very dirty and a fuel cell was installed. there is a small round hole in the back for gas fill inside the van. The dash is original with the working gauges and the floor heater still all there that functions. This would be a excellent candidate to restore or just do a few things to and drive as is. Ford bringing C-Max Solar Energi Concept to CES
Thu, 02 Jan 2014Solar energy might not be enough to power a usable electric vehicle on its own, but that doesn't mean it can't lend a helping hand. And that's what Ford has in store for the Consumer Electronics Show opening next week in Las Vegas.
Ford has essentially taken its C-Max Energi plug-in hybrid and fitted it with the latest in solar panel technology developed by SunPower, acting like a magnifying glass to capture as much of the sun's energy as possible. So you get the benefit of an electric vehicle, with the range assurance of a hybrid, without needing to draw from the grid.
Ford estimates that a day of charging in the sunshine will give the C-Max Solar Energi concept the same full charge as the production PHEV, with a total range of 620 miles - 21 of which can be run on electric power alone. Otherwise the vehicle - which remains a concept for the time being - is identical to the existing C-Max Energi. The top-selling model in Ford's growing hybrid and electric vehicle portfolio helps put Ford just behind Toyota among the top seller of hybrids in America. Fri, 24 Aug 2012It happens every year. We bid adieu to some cars and trucks that will be missed, and say good riddance to others wondering how they stayed around so long. Whether they're being killed off for slow sales or due to a new product coming along to replace them, the list of vehicles being discontinued after 2012 is surprisingly long and diverse.
CNN Money has compiled a list of departing vehicles, to which we've added a few more of our own. In the slow sales column, cars like the Lexus HS 250h, Mercedes-Benz R-Class and the full Maybach lineup appear, while the Ford Escape Hybrid, Mazda CX-7 and Hyundai Veracruz are all having their gaps filled with more modern and more fuel-efficient alternatives. Obvious exceptions to the rule include models that still sell in decent numbers like the Jeep Liberty and the Chrysler Town & Country (which will eventually be replaced by a crossover-like vehicle).
