This car is flat out factory clean front to back top to bottom super clean starts every time all gages and levers work properly tires are nearly new zero oil drips onto the ground (some seepage). The bag that holds the window fluid it still factory holds liquid all glass in perfect shape clean driver very clean inside to back the body is very straight there happens to be a small paint less dent repair made to the drivers door however, the car is ultra clean other than that. The chassis is very straight and 100% complete. I suspect that this will be a great daily driver and is an excellent example of a 1966 ford falcon. I suggest that this is the last year of the falcon and its chassis attributed to the design of the ford mustang, same chassis and other parts. Per my investigations I have found that this car had a hard time selling against the 66 mustang that was provided in the same year. I suggest that you should not have any reservations with regard to this car, buy with confidence that this is not a restored car, not a chop shop creation, and this car represents a true factory production of a falcon in 1966. The miles are on the Colorado title as exempt however, I think that if you look very closely you can see that the 12,060 are very clearly actual miles due to the dust covering those particular numbers, this is a clear sign that is evident of actual miles and there is zero sign of tampering. I sell 2000 cars per month and I have developed a keen eye with regard to vehicles, I suggest that we have a real authentic survivor here and its up to you to keep her rolling. Ford, Renault have surprises in store for Le Mans
Tue, Jun 9 2015All those prototype and GT racers won't be the only attraction catching our eye at the 24 Hours of Le Mans this weekend. Two major automakers have also confirmed that they've got new metal to unveil. And while they're not saying exactly what they'll be, we've got some pretty good ideas. First up is Ford, which has announced a "major Ford Performance news announcement" on Friday. Chairman Bill Ford, CEO Mark Fields, and product development chief Raj Nair will be on hand for the announcement set to take place on Friday at 10:00 AM Eastern. The Blue Oval isn't saying just what it has in store, but the widespread speculation has been that it will present a racing version of the new Ford GT at Le Mans a good half century since the original GT40 raced there. Meanwhile, Renault has announced that it is marking the 60th anniversary of the Alpine marque at Le Mans this Saturday. The French automaker has been working on reviving the dormant marque, and looks poised to finally reveal its new sports car at its iconic home endurance race this weekend. Tipped to be called the Alpine AS1, the new sports car will bring the marque back out of retirement in a more real way than the ELMS-winning LMP2 prototype ever could. Expect it to be based on the mid-engined chassis underpinning the Renault RS 01 spec racer, but built for the road. Enterprise working with renter's insurance to cover $47k Mustang stolen from its lot
Sat, 11 Jan 2014There was more than a bit of public indigence following the recent story of Enterprise Rent-A-Car billing a customer $47,000 to replace a Ford Mustang GT Convertible stolen from a Nova Scotia lot. To recap: Kristen Cockerill rented the Mustang for two days, returned it to the lot on a Sunday and left the keys in a secure dropbox only for Enterprise employees to find the car gone the next day.
Despite Enterprise policies stating that customers are responsible for vehicles dropped on off-days, the company has admitted that the situation could've been handled a bit better.
In a recent statement, Enterprise has backed off the big-bill story, and claims to be working with Cockerill and her insurance company to resolve the issue. Further, the Enterprise general manager overseeing Nova Scotia has spoken with the harried renter, and apologized "for the way this claim was handled during the last few months."
Toyota tops Consumer Reports best, worst used car values
Tue, 18 Mar 2014We often mock Toyota for building boring, soulless cars, but a new study by Consumer Reports suggests that regardless of whether that's true, the company has some of the best used cars on the market. In its report on used cars from 2004-2013, the Japanese automaker had 11 vehicles among its brands on the list - more than any other automaker.
CR breaks the list down by cost and vehicle size, and Toyota has at least one entry at every price point and in nearly every segment. To score a recommendation, a vehicle had to perform well in the magazine's initial tests and score above-average reliability results. It also tried to only suggest cars with electronic stability control. Of the 28 recommended vehicles, Honda/Acura had the second most mentions at six, and Ford, Hyundai and Subaru managed two each.
The Detroit brands also made it to the list, but not in a positive way. Consumer Reports compiled a list of 22 vehicles it wouldn't recommend because "they have multiple years of much-worse-than-average overall reliability." General Motors had the most unrecommended models on the list at six, but Chrysler and Ford weren't far behind, with five cars each from their brands not making the grade.
