For sale is my 1962 Ford Falcon, (AKA-"SKULLY"). Very cool little cruiser that I use often to attend local cruise-in and car shows. Have always wanted a 49-50 Chevy Fleetline and since I'm getting older, I have decided to sell this one, since I can only afford one classic toy. I will describe the condition of the car below as best as possible. If you have questions or need additional photos, please email me. Pick up or shipping of the vehicle is at the buyers expense. Car is being sold, "Where Is/As Is" Bidding may end early as car is also being advertised locally!
BODY; 4 Door sedan that is very solid. Needs work to both rear lower quarter panels. Doors, hood and trunk all close well and tight. No broken or missing glass. Floor pans have been patched. Will need weather stripping replaced around doors and trunk.
INTERIOR; Front seats replaced with late model buckets, has original rear bench seat. Seats have been recovered by my wife and I. Not a bad job for our first attempt! This is, with out a doubt, a "ONE OF A KIND", that gets lots of attention and compliments when we go out. Needs carpet and sun visors. Factory headliner is good for the most, (tear in rear window area). After market gauges installed in original radio opening, (not hooked up, but have the kit to do so). AM/FM/CD installed in glove box. Stereo speakers in front doors and rear shelf. System sounds nice!
DRIVE TRAIN; Stock inline 6 cylinder with less than 93,000 original miles, (has not flipped), but may be somewhat higher at end of sale, as I do drive it. Stock 2 speed auto trans and stock Ford rear axle.Trans has been rebuilt,(have receipts).
SUSPENSION; All original with the following changes; cut coil spring in front and lowering blocks added to the rear. New shocks all around, air shocks in rear'
NEW PARTS; Starter, radiator, fuel pump, exhaust manifold, shocks, tires, battery, gauges. peep mirrors, stereo.
Fun little car that could be made into a nice economical cruiser with paint and body work, or drive it as it is! Thanks for looking and hope this one flips your switch and makes you wanna bid, bid, bid!!!!!!!!!!!

eBay Find of the Day: 1970 Ford Torino King Cobra prototype
Wed, 08 May 2013Over the last decade or so, competition in NASCAR has led to some pretty funky looking racecars. And when the sport was still up and coming, the tight competition actually led to some interesting production cars. The Dodge Charger Daytona and Plymouth Superbird are perhaps the most well-known cars of the sport's "aero wars" era but the Ford Torino King Cobra might have been the most memorable of all, if not for some different homologation rules established in 1970. The Torino King Cobra never made it to production and never competed in NASCAR, but three examples exist including this one now for sale on eBay.
Designed as a successor for the aero-tuned Torino Talladega, the Torino King Cobra has a sleeker front end with hidden headlights and a sloped nose. As the story goes, NASCAR made a rule change in 1970 requiring 3,000 of the vehicles to be produced, which was substantially more than the 500 units required by the previous rule. One of the three prototypes ever built - and the only one built with the Boss 429 engine - is now for sale on eBay with a starting bid of $500,000. With a little more than three days left on the auction there are still no bids, but in the grand scheme of things this seems like a relatively fair price for a rare piece of automobile and racing history.
Ford blimp crashes inside Portland Trail Blazers arena
Fri, Dec 5 2014Portland basketball fans got a free, very safe recreation of the Hindenburg disaster when a Ford airship crashed into the stands during a game between the Trail Blazers and Indiana Pacers. Reportedly no one was hurt, but arena staff trying to push the inflatable vehicle through a hole it was too big for, made for some fantastic video and photos. This content is hosted by a third party. The first gives an idea of just how hard it was to fit the blimp through the exit of the arena, and the second is a time-lapse look from someone right next to the action. All these clips need is Yakety Sax as background music for some true Internet gold. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings.
