Professionally built just completed, This has been a two-year project and over $34,000.00 invested. 1965 Ford Falcon Two-Door Wagon. The laser straight body has been Painted with two-stage base coat clearcoat bright Ferrari Red by paint by Josh of the Mesa Arizona. The interior is all new in black vinyl to look the way it came from the factory. All new foam in the seats, new headliner, padded dash, carpet, door panels, rubber seals, fuzzy strips and rear cargo area have also been carpeted. The interior was done by the well-known Steve Ingram of Queen Creek Arizona.

The factory air conditioning blows ice cold. The drivetrain is a newly rebuilt roller 302 with a comp cam and aluminum heads proformer high-rise. Electric fuel pump, Shorty headers, 2 1/2 inch exhaust with flowmasters mufflers, that gives it a great sound and a nice lumpy idle. New Three core aluminum radiator. The transmission is a rebuilt T-10 with a new Hurst shifter & linkage. The rearend is the stock 8 inch with 3:25 gears. The front suspension is all new and has been upgraded with disc brakes, 1 1/8th inch sway bar, gas filled shocks ALL AROUND. All the chrome on the car is either new or has been re-chromed.  PLUS MUCH MORE!   I May consider part trade plus cash.

This is a very rare little wagon that I found in New Mexico.  Almost every nut and bolt on this car has been replaced. New factory reproduction wiring harnesses.  If you're looking for a better than new car, with a little attitude. that will draw a crowd anytime you stop or at any car show and still be able to drive it across town or across the country with no worries, this is car for you.

Rolling footage of the 2015 Ford Mustang hits YouTube [w/video]

Thu, 26 Dec 2013

Just in time for the holidays: Ford took the 2015 Mustang to Route 66 to cook up rolling footage, and we've been given some of the leftovers ahead of the meal. There are no burnouts, no donuts, no revving, and thankfully, no music. It's just two minutes and 26 seconds of the new pony car running free in the desert.
So in case you needed more visualizing help, the video below will help you start imagining how you'll look in your 2014 Christmas present to yourself...

MyFord Touch getting buttons and knobs back to counter criticisms

Mon, 17 Jun 2013

Ford deserves credit for being a front-runner in offering advanced infotainment technology with its Sync and MyFord Touch systems, but continued consumer complaints over its confusing touchscreen interface and capacitive controls has made the automaker relent. The Wall Street Journal reports that physical buttons and knobs for controlling tuning and volume will be coming back to Ford vehicles equipped with the controversial infotainment system.
The 2013 F-150 with MyFord Touch gives us a glimpse of what the new layout with buttons and knobs might look like, as Ford says a similar balance of touch screen capability and buttons/knobs are what's being planned for future models. And, while capacitive controls have no fans in the halls of Autoblog, many of Ford's models with MyFord Touch do have a large physical knob for adjusting volume with integrated buttons for tuning and advancing tracks, though most of those are models with the optional upgraded Sony Audio system. Lincoln models with MyLincoln Touch, however, feature only capacitive controls for all stereo and climate functions.
Despite receiving enough complaints to throw buttons and knobs back into the mix (a move that reminds us of BMW's iDrive trajectory, among others), Ford reports that Sync and MyFord Touch have still been sold on 79 percent of its 2013 model year vehicles, a number it claims is double the rate that Honda and Toyota are getting for their infotainment systems. Ford also states that owners who do opt for the duo of technologies are more satisfied with overall vehicle quality than those who don't have it.

Devils, Details and Weight Reduction
There are many things I could call this exercise. A party is not one of them.
I've spent three days crammed in the axle well of this 1989 Mustang with nothing to keep me company beyond a trouble light, a DeWalt drill on the very last of its legs and billion razor sharp, red hot slivers of metal with an affinity for my most sensitive of regions. My joints are raw from crawling around on the concrete. I'm half deaf from the shriek of the spot weld cutter and the boom of the cold chisel and hammer.
