Up for Auction is my 1965 Falcon Futura, Factory C code v8, Green dot C4 Auto. Power Steering Manual breaks. Runs and drives great.
Just rebuilt the carb and serviced the breaks. new tires on AR S200 wheels. Ready to go to the cruise.
I have all 5 original wheels with Falcon Spinner caps, all in excellent shape and come with the car.
Car is very complete and original. Car has been repainted to original color, never any rust, a dent was pulled in the lower right rear quarter at some point. I replaced carpet the floors were blasted and coated in POR15 at the time, they are rock solid. The underside of this car is amazing, no rust at all. See pics. Paint is a 10 footer and driver quality, door jambs and such are original paint. Paint shines but has a few small scratches and a couple paint gun blemishes. One big chip pictured. Not sure what happened. Looks like something spilled on it and it flaked off in that spot. Chrome, trim and grille are really nice, no east coast pitting
Interior has new carpet and rear speaker panel. Upholstery is original and nice, two tiny blemishes on drivers side seat only and one crack in the dash panel. All windows work and glass is nice. Electrical works as should, heater needs cables hooked up, it was unhooked and disassembled when floors were blasted. Blower works. I lost gas pedal, LOL, but they are available. Missing the receiving sides of the seat belts. They are also available. Windows work and all glass is good.
Engine runs very well but it is original and rattles a little at idle, probably wrist pin according to my engine guy. Not rod or main noise. It is all original and complete under hood.
Trans shifts as should and no rearend noise.
Suspension is nice and tight, handles very well.
One of the cleanest body's I've seen. Perfect candidate for an original restore or just enjoy as it is. Sweet car overall.
Bid to win, you will be happy.

Ford Australia debuts Ranger-based Everest SUV concept
Tue, 13 Aug 2013Ford has been in hot water in Australia ever since it announced plans to end local production of the Falcon and Territory SUV. Besides canceling a model that is to Oz what the Mustang is to America, the end of production means more than a few folks will be out of work.
Keen to prove that it has a plan for the market, Ford has unveiled the Aussie-penned Everest Concept, a rough-and-tumble, seven-seat SUV. While not a direct replacement for the aging Territory (that role will eventually be filled by either the Edge or Flex, according to Car Advice) it's an indication from Ford's brass that the Blue Oval is still committed to Australia.
To prove that fact, Alan Mullaly, Mark Fields, Jim Farley and regional execs descended on Sydney for the debut of the new concept. Ford's Australian president and CEO, Bob Graziano, said of the Everest, "Our customers, our employees and Australia can be assured that we're connected to the nation and committed to our customers through terrific products with class-leading technologies."
J Mays retiring from Ford design, succeeded by Moray Callum
Tue, 05 Nov 2013Ford's highly influential head of design, J Mays, has announced that he'll be retiring from his position after 33 years in the industry, 16 of which were at the Dearborn, MI-based company. Upon departure, he'll be succeeded as group vice president of design by Moray Callum. If that last name sounds familiar, yes, he's the brother of Jaguar's Ian Callum.
It's difficult to explain just how big of a role Mays had on not just Ford's design over the years, but on the entire industry. Before heading to Dearborn, Mays worked for Audi, BMW and then Volkswagen, where he was involved in concept cars that paved the way for design icons like the first-generation Audi TT and the Volkswagen New Beetle. As for his Ford resume, it's extensive.
Mays joined the company in 1997 as design director for Ford, Lincoln, Mercury and Mazda, as well as the Premier Automotive Group (Volvo, Land Rover, Jaguar and Aston Martin). He was heavily involved in the Ford Fusion, Focus, Fiesta, Taurus, F-150 and Mustang, while also contributing to concept cars like the Atlas, Evos, 427, Forty-Nine, Shelby GR-1, Lincoln MKZ and the MKC.
Ford says utility vehicles are key to global growth
Tue, 26 Nov 2013While most of us believe that small, fuel efficient cars are the key to global expansion for US automakers, Jim Farley, Ford's vice president of Global Marketing, thinks otherwise. Last week, we attended an exclusive sneak preview of the Ford Edge Concept in advance of the Los Angeles Auto Show, and Farley told us that it's actually utility vehicles that will help the Blue Oval gain market share overseas. "There is no other segment in our industry that is growing like utilities," he said. "We expect over the next five years this full family of [utility] vehicles to really drive our growth as a company."
And Farley has the numbers to back it up, too. Ford projects overall automotive sales to grow 23 percent from 2012 to 2017, but the company's utility vehicles are expected to boom by an impressive 41 percent during that same period. Much of that growth will be in China, where Ford estimates its utility sales will explode. "The biggest opportunity for us globally for utilities is in China," Farley said. "China utility growth is expected to more than double from where it is today to 2017, which isn't that far away." Most astounding is that Ford projects its own utility sales in China will eventually increase by more than 2,000 percent when smaller crossovers, such as the EcoSport and Kuga (sold as the Escape in North America), and the Edge and Explorer, are factored in.
Ford's VP also expects utilities to lead the way in the struggling European market. "With all the difficulties of the European market, there is one segment that has actually expanded in volume over the last several years even though the market is way down, and that's utilities," Farley told us. Ford estimates that their utility sales will grow 65 percent in Europe from 2012-2017. "The utility segment is projected to grow we think about thirty percent between now and 2017 in Europe, and we think we are going to grow twice that rate as a brand," Farley continued.
