1965 Ford Falcon 4dr. Sedan
Wimbledon White/Med. Blue Poly. 74,405 Actual Miles Is currently For Sale locally at $ 1,900.00 OBO Barn stored away from the elements for the last 15 years; for sale by the car's second owner. This car is in good preserved condition; it's straight, solid, dry, and COMPLETELY ORIGINAL. This would make an excellent preservation/restoration project car! Has been run and driven short distances within the last 18 months. Currently, is very difficult to start and will not stay running. Recently replaced all ignition system components, fuel filter, and air filter. Could use a new battery, likely needs the carburetor cleaned/rebuilt and the timing adjusted; we're just not motivated to invest additional time and money, and we need the extra space in our barn... Some extras we've included, free of charge: Factory original owners manual, two snow tires (mounted on steel rims), full size factory original bias ply spare (mounted on steel rim), three of the four factory original hub caps, the factory original jack and tire iron, as well as all the worn factory original ignition parts we've recently replaced. There's a single crack in the windshield, which may not be visible in any of the photos. There's also some areas of perforated body panel rust; included photos of it. The back seat fabric has some set in rust stains. If you have any questions or want more detailed information, please contact me. |

Ford F-150 King Ranch celebrates 'history and authenticity' for 2015 [w/video]
Tue, 04 Mar 2014What's life like on an authentic Texas ranch? We honestly have no idea, having never lived on such a ranch, but we imagine it requires lots of hard work, grit and determination to keep all 825,000 acres - that's larger than the state of Rhode Island - of the King Ranch in Texas under control. Indeed, a total of 350 vehicles, all of which come from Ford, we're told, are currently in use by the ranch. No wonder, then, that the collaboration between Ford and King Ranch has lasted for 15 successful years.
For 2015, in celebration of that 15th anniversary, Ford is debuting three new King Ranch models today at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. The most significant is the 2015 F-150 King Ranch, which, naturally, will add unique interior and exterior bits and pieces to the new aluminum-intensive F-Series pickup. Color choices will consist of Caribou, Bronze Fire, Guard and Ruby Red Metallic Clearcoat, with a range of two-tones to go along with a monochromatic scheme in Caribou. Inside, a bespoke King Ranch interior will be swathed in Premium Mesa Brown leather.
Joining the F-150 King Ranch on dealership floors later this year will be 2015 King Ranch editions of the Super Duty pickup and Expedition fullsize SUV, all of which will offer similar levels of content. Scroll down for more details and two videos from Ford, and be sure to check out the high-res image gallery above, which was shot by the official State Photographer of Texas, Wyman Meinzer.
2015 Ford F-150 claims segment's best payload, towing ratings
Mon, 29 Sep 2014While we are set to drive the new, 2015 Ford F-150 in the coming days, there's a big piece of news on the latest-generation of the Blue Oval's bread-and-butter pickup coming out of Dearborn, and it focuses on the truck's hauling and towing abilities.
The new F-150 will have a maximum payload of 3,300-pounds (V8 models), and, perhaps more importantly, a 12,200-pound tow rating (EcoBoost V6 models), which for the first time are compliant with the Society of Automotive Engineer's J2807 standards. Those best-in-class figures are significant feathers in Ford's cap as the Detroit Three continue duking it out for the title of top pickup.
"As founding members of the SAE trailer towing committee, we will meet SAE trailer towing standards," Ford's Aaron Miller told Autoblog.
Project Ugly Horse: Part VIII
Fri, 17 May 2013Now With More EcoBoost
There's an EcoBoost 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder in there somewhere, and it's headed straight for Ugly Horse.
For the second time in my life, I'm staring at an engine in the back of a truck with no concept of how to get it safely into the garage by my lonesome. The first time this happened, I dragged home a $300 International 345 V8 in the back of my Scout Terra only to discover that the bounds of my manliness terminated well before my ability to muscle that 800-pound cast iron block out of the pickup bed.
