1965 Falcon " Barn Find " old Super Stock Drag Car - Last raced about 12 years ago. Owned and built by the same person for over 25 years. I bought this from the original owners Daughter. Over $30,000.00 total invested in the car. He built it using all the best parts available for the time. It ran in the 10's with a 289 in it. I have no times with the 351 that is presently in it . What you see in the photos is what you get . This is as honest as I can be about this car. I have never heard it run and spoke very little to the original owner before he died . He built a 351 windsor with Cleveland Roush intake and heads . It has roller rockers and a nice carb. It has line lock and a reverse pattern with manual valve body transmission. The shifter is rachet . The gauges and all electronics are wired and ready to go. It has a rev limiter and as usual electric fuel pump. It has Wildwood rack and pinion steering and disc brakes. The front end is tied so when the front wheels come off the ground the suspension doesn't travel too much. It was professionally back halved and even has a place to hook a parachute on the rear end housing . Nothing was spared on this car. It does show it's age and the fact it was sitting. It can easily be cleaned up and raced again. The fuel cell is dry and lines disconnected to keep the fuel from jelling. The tires are dry rotted. The interior is nice and all the hard work is done. It has a snorkle style hood that is fiberglass , as is the trunk. Prior owner would get it running once a year to keep things working. The car is being sold with " A BILL OF SALE ONLY " . It never had a title for the past 25 plus years and I bought it with a notarized bill of sale from the original owners Daughter.. I will give this to the new owner at the time of sale. Now is your chance to get into racing CHEAP .. It needs minor work but is a great deal for someone wanting to race. It is a time capsule of racing nostalgia. Cash only at time of pick up. Ford names Lincoln chief as North American president following Nair's departure
Thu, Feb 22 2018Ford announced yesterday that its North American president Raj Nair would no longer be working for the company due to "inappropriate behavior." As a result, the company needed fill that gaping vacancy. The new North American president and Ford Group vice president will be Kumar Galhotra, and his term in the new role will start on March 1. Galhotra will remain the group vice president and chief marketing officer for Lincoln through March, meaning he's the head of the luxury brand. He's had this position since 2014. Before that, he was vice president of engineering for all of Ford. With Galhotra's promotion, a number of internal promotions follow. Joy Falotico, current chairman, CEO and group vice president of Ford's credit division will fill Galhotra's position, and Dave McClelland, vice president of marketing for Ford Asia Pacific, will fill her role. Other shuffling at Ford includes Stewart Rawley's promotion to vice president for Ford North America and chief operating officer. He is the current vice president for strategy at Ford. Ford China's chairman and CEO John Lawler will take Rawley's old role, and Cathy O'Callaghan will take over Lawler's job at Ford China, but not until June 1. O'Callaghan is currently vice president, corporate controller and chief financial officer for global markets at Ford. Related Video:

Of all the OEMs making appearances at the 2014 SEMA show, Ford owns arguably the most significant group of vehicles, thanks to its new 2015 F-150 and Mustang. While you can look for our Mustang coverage soon, we've managed to sneak out and get snaps of some of a few of the F-150s on display at the company's sprawling, 20,000-square-foot display (look for even more aftermarket F-150 goodness in the coming days).

The Gas Guzzler schedule, with mpg ratings and charges that haven't changed since 1991, lays out which fuel-swillers owe what to Uncle Sam.
I started thinking about the "Gas Guzzler Tax" - considerably less well known as The Energy Tax Act of 1978 - when I was driving Dodge's new Challenger SRT Hellcat last week. Unsurprisingly for a car that can burn 1.5 gallons of gas per minute at max tilt, theoretically able to empty a full tank of premium in about 13 minutes, the Hellcat will be subject to the Gas Guzzler Tax schedule when it goes on sale.
